You may want to check out DropSync: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync . I've been using it for years to sync all my various emulator memory cards/saves across my devices. It can auto sync when it notices a change. I highly recommend it.

I haven't tried this on Win8.1, although it should work fine; that said, you can try the android extractor instead (assuming you're using android!). I've got this set up to extract to a folder on my phone's internal memory, and then I use DropSync to monitor that folder and upload changes to my DropBox account.
If you use OneDrive and want to switch to Linux, you first have to stop using OneDrive. Your usage of OneDrive locks you to Windows and other platforms that OneDrive supports.

Dropbox, for one, it has sync clients for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It works great for me, although I got a 3rd party app for syncing on my Android phone.
I think I just found a FP:
metactrl.com www.metactrl.com
It is the support site for Dropsync and a couple other android apps.
You can use a separate app to do the synching - an app like Dropsync will synch local folder to your cloud server. They have other apps for other cloud providers.
This way you separate the jobs of the audio recorder from the synch job.
We make audio recorder apps also, but recommend users use apps like ones from Metactrl:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync
From our audio recorder apps, users have access to files via a full file manager interface. And can classify last recording easily using Action button. Then with a separate synching app like the above one, users can set up which folder should be synched to your cloud server.
This approach means you are not dependent on your audio recorder app keeping up with your cloud server. And leave it to a specialized app whose whole job is to synch.
Check out DropSync: which is for DropBox
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync
They also make apps for Google Drive and other cloud providers - check the developer page:
Yes, you can install a dropbox app and download files with that. I use DropSync since then you can just autosync a folder instead of having to pick individual files to download in the official DropBox app. The same developer also has Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive sync apps. I've never looked for an iCloud sync app but that might exist too.
Dropsync does a folder...I believe you need to buy the pro version to do multiple folders. If you use any other cloud services, Foldersync also works well.
Drop Synch, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en
I use think to sunch folder fromt he PC to the phone and back. Seperate folders for ringtone, notifications ( so i have my custom ones backed up) Audio Books Radio Shows Keep Photos Phone call recordings TV shows for the kids to keep them quiet. ROMS for emulators on the phone Music
Needs dropbox on the computer and phone, but drop synch then synchronises specific folders from the phone to one folder.
Maybe one of these will work Dropsync, Foldersync
I use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en_US&gl=US with Tasker to schedule sync. You may end up with copies that have (conflict[datetime]) in the file name, but now that I give synchronizing a change to do its thing, I don't have a problem with those. You just have to make sure you're really only editing via one device at a time.
How is it?
I'm currently using DropSync by MetaCtrl. It works ok, but the dev has a different app for every cloud storage provider and if this can do it all in one it might be a worthwhile switch. Can this handle multiple Dropbox accounts?
There is an app on google play that I use named "Dropsync: Autosync for Dropbox".
it automatically downloads everything (or just a specific folder) from your dropbox to your phone. unfortunately its just for android (the only reason why I dont have an iphone, so if anybody knows an iphone alternative, I would be really glad to hear about it)
I've been using AutoSync for a few years now, and it's awesome. Very simple to use, lightweight, fully customizable. Give it a shot.
if you want this functionality I highly recommend the Dropsync app, it works really well to do what you want to do
Hi.
This seems to be a popular request - however integrating with everyone custom provider - OneDrive/Google Drive/DropBox/Syncthing etc - would be too cumbersome. However I do want to provide a workaround.
I plan to expose the folder where the notes are stored in a public location so that you can then use tools such as - Autosync for Dropbox to sync the notes or Autosync for OneDrive
I've been trying to work on this last week, but it's proving to be trickier than I expected, I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the week.
Additionally, I plan to update the website with clear instructions on basic information about Git, how to use it (if you're interested), and work-arounds to use other syncing mechanisms.
Do you think that would work for you?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync
Here's one of the countless solutions. Android isn't like ios, you can do most things without rooting.
Edit: saw you wanted onedrive specifically so here you go: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.onesyncv2
Dropbox will do that automatically, but as you indicated it won't be directly accessible via your media apps, the content will need to be launched from within Dropbox.
For what you're describing, Dropsync:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync
It lets you specify a local folder to offline sync dropbox files/folders to, including SD card, as well as whether you want a one way or two way sync.
For Dropbox:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en_US
For Google Drive:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.drivesync
You have to get the paid version if you want to set up multiple folders, but the app works great and is well worth it if it's something you want to really do.
You can set it to auto sync a folder whenever there is a change made. So if you're playing a game and save, the app will detect it and send it up to the cloud.
The problem is, it doesn't pull things down to the other device immediately. So you just set it to automatically do a full sync every so often. Like you could set it for an hour or so, or longer if you don't care that the saves might not be synced up constantly.
And if you're hopping from one device to another, just do a manual sync and you should be good.
Sorry if that also doesn't make a lot of sense... it's early in the morning and I didn't sleep much. :)
If you don't feel like switching to Syncthing, you can use local sync in Orgzly + Dropsync to sync org notes directory in Dropbox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en_GB . It's not instantaneous, but if you schedule Dropsync to run every hour or so it's sort of okay.
Here's what I've done:
https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/82s737/howto_sync_savegames_and_savestates_via_dropbox/
This approach uses DropBox (or another similar service) to sync the savegames between different devices. Please note that there's still some work necessary.
On the Android side of things I use an App called DropSync which watches a folder on my phone's SD card
The developer 'MetaCtrl' on Google Play Store makes apps that sync cloud storage with local storage. I use their Dropbox sync and Box sync apps and both are great. There are apps for Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive also.
We don't publish the analytics - we just view aggregate stats - how many total users used the app today etc. It is not individualized i.e. does not identify the user.
We also don't make any money selling user info or that type of stuff.
With these audio recorder apps, the only monetization is via the in-app payment. Otherwise most of the features are free.
You can check out our privacy policy on the Google Play page - here is the link:
http://www.stereomatch.com/blog/privacy-policy/
The statement about Admob banner ads does not apply to these audio recorder apps because there are no ads in these apps. Our other apps (like the novelty voice recorder apps do have ads).
Uploading recordings to cloud storage
Our app also doesn't allow uploading your recordings to cloud services. However, if you really want to do automatic upload of recordings to your favorite cloud service, you can do that using a third party app like DropSync:
And just set up the Amazing_AVR folder on your internal storage to be mirrored to DropBox etc. using apps like the one above.
Or you can use Action - Cloud button from within our app to categorize the last recording quickly into a Cloud sub-folder. Then if you set up DropSync to mirror that Cloud folder to DropBox, this gives you an easy way to choose which files should be automatically uploaded to DropBox. If you like a recording, you would click Action - Cloud and it would be moved to the Cloud sub-folder. If you have set up DropSync appropriately it would then know to synch that to DropBox.
You might be able to sync the folder holding the notes to Dropbox via DropSync (or to Google Drive via DriveSync). I am not sure if you can find any app that can open those files.
Alternatively you can check windows version of S Notes. It's a thing. And syncs with the Samsung Cloud. My problem with it was that it drastically reduced the resolution of the pages.
I put my files into Dropbox, then used DropSync to sync the whole directory to my phone. I don't like streaming services either. This way, I can do any reorganizing I want on my computer, and have it all be synced without having to mess with files directly on my phone.
There's a few PDF editing apps you can download off the Play Store that has SPen support, but the stock "Write On PDF" app works well enough for me.
So by default, you can use the Write on PDF that comes with the Note to write on PDF files that are on your DropBox.
The DropBox app has an "Open With" option that allows you select that Write On PDF app to open with, so there's no problem there.
The only issue would be the 2-way sync, since this is an issue with the Dropbox app. It'll sync from your PC automatically, so no problems fetching the latest changes on your device. But the same isn't said for the Android Dropbox app.
But if you still want a 2-way sync, then, you should be able to get it working using a 3rd party app like Dropsync: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en
So with that combination, you should get what you want working on this device.
Not Linux per-se, but I just use Dropsync and push/pull files from the shared Dropbox folder on my PC. It does mean that the files have to sync to Dropbox and then to my device, but it also means I have cloud backup automatically. Good tradeoff I think.
It's my favourite. I started off using Dropsync but recently switched over to Google Drive and the developer offers a few different applications that are exactly the same, but for different syncing services.
I haven't found anything else that beats it personally, but considering it has worked flawlessly I haven't looked, so there may be newer, shinier syncing applications out there that I'm not aware of!
Alternatively, you could try autosync apps that automatically backs up any folder you target to a cloud service provider. Something like this would work: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en
If you use the OnePlus dialer's built-in call recorder, you can link the autosync app to the folder where it saves the recordings.
You know, this can also work with cross platform emulation, like some Android emulators that use the same file formats as their desktop windows counterparts, or across two different Android devices, in my case, the Shield Portable and my phone. I use Dropsync for this task. Then on my desktop, I point the emulator save path to the same folder on Dropbox, and if they're compatible, they're usable. So far I've had success with SNES, and Android to Android saving, even save states which is really nice.
I've done PCSX2 memory cards, Dolphin GameCube memory cards, Dreamcast VMU files, all work with similar methods with little tweaks as necessary.
I thought it was built into the Android app, but I know for a fact that Dropsync will do exactly what you're looking for: Google Play link
Read File has to be local. One would hope you have the space on your device for the text file! There are some apps that can retrieve from the cloud as a Tasker plugin: Dropsync is one, FolderSync is another.
I use dropbox. There is a manual sync option for android, but I haven't used it since it was on my last phone. (It also does automatic syncing but I think that is a premium feature IIRC.) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en
As all of the images I collect are hosted on Dropbox, I use an android app called Dropsync that will copy a specific Dropbox folder you specify to a specific location on your phone or SD you specify. Once the images are on your phone, I use a second app called Wallpaper Changer that allows you to select folders that contain images and then specify how often you want your background to change as well as how the image is displayed- original, force aspect, or stretch. Stretch usually works fine for me without losing an inordinate amount of quality. You can set it to change every time you unlock your phone but I prefer to have it change once every 24 hours. That timer begins the moment you set it so I stayed up a night to get it set to midnight.
I HIGHLY recommend the app Dropysync. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync
Dropsync will let you specify a folder of your choice on the Android device and sync its contents to a folder on a Dropbox account. A free dropbox account should work nicely for what you're doing.
I paid for the pro key, which unlocks unlimited folders and control over the sync timing. I use this to manage the books, comics and game saves synced to both my Nexus 9 and my son's Nook Color from my Dropbox account.
I automate the process with DropSync for Android. The free version limits you to one folder, but I found it so useful I got the paid version to unlock unlimited sync folders.
It automatically syncs KOTOR save files to my Dropbox, and I use a symbolic link on my Mac to redirect the matching folder to my actual KOTOR save folder on my Mac. The "hard" part was dropping to a command line to create the symbolic link on the Mac.
This is a key only, the real application was last updated yesterday.
You can extract the data from the MiBand app; I'm using the tasker profile linked in that thread to do it automatically whenever I open the app, and then I have DropSync automatically sync the exported data to Dropbox, and then I have FitnessSyncer importing my steps to Google Fit.
It's a bit convoluted, but it works for me. I think FitnessSyncer would allow you to import your steps to something like RunKeeper, but I'm not sure if direct import to MFP is supported.
Autosync dropbox might be of use to you as well?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=nl
no need for Tasker (but with tasker you can do a WHOLE lot more!)
You mean like Dropsync ?
Ich nutze dafür https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync in Kombination mit Dropbox und bin sehr zufrieden.
Here is a link to the DropSync app on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync - Autosync Dropbox - Dropsync - by MetaCtrl.
They make a similar app for Google Drive: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.drivesync - Autosync Google Drive - by MetaCtrl.
And for Microsoft One Drive: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.onesyncv2 - Autosync OneDrive - OneSync - by MetaCtrl.
And for Box: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.boxsync - Autosync Box Cloud Storage - by MetaCtrl.
Here is their complete apps list: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=metactrl
There is another app called Folder Sync:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.tacit.android.foldersync.lite&hl=en
you might be able to sync it between devices if you use dropsync and configure it properly with your dropbox account
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en
Just use Dropsync for dropbox syncing. I really don't think password manager apps should have access to the Internet.
There's an APK to automatically extract the data if you have root; I have that set up along with DropSync to extract the data and sync it to a DropBox folder when it detects changes. From there I'm currently using FitnessSyncer with the exported CSV in the folder as a data source to import the data into Google Fit, which is working semi-alright.
Seems like a reasonable workaround. Not sure if it would work, but Autosync for Dropbox may give you an automated option. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync
Its ok. I did some searching and found a solution that I am happy with.
By using this dropbox app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en_US
and this video player
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.github.powerinside.syncplay&hl=en_US
I have been able to successfully stream movies with other friends with top set devices. The only downside to using this is that subtitles cannot be synced (the name of the files match up, I've done it before with Syncplay)
Its not a perfect solution. But its as close to what I'm looking for.
I use Dropbox because it's cross-platform. It can even sync to Android with a third-party app.
I'm pretty sure that all the cloud storage solutions store your files in an encrypted or otherwise inaccessible state (let me know if I'm wrong and dropbox doesn't, cause that would be awesome).
This app let's you sync the files to and from your devices from dropbox:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en_US

Here's a video tutorial. It's for a full sync setup between PC and Android device using google drive. Not the same app, but the same concept, and the android app used is made by the same people that made the above app.
https://youtu.be/d6qPLFVhbZA?t=653
Metactrl has two apps you could use in conjunction:
&
Dropsync - Dropbox automatic synchronisation which is missing from stock client.
1) Nope (built-in way or via the Dropbox app). You can use Dropsync which has proper two-way sync unlike the official client.
2) Plenty of plain text editors on Android, I'd suggest:
Turbo Editor, pretty standard and simple.
MarkdownX: as the name says, markdown editor, has Dropbox support.
Bluetooth keyboard? You might like hardware shortcut key support: Jota Text Editor (ignore the screenshots, old and that stupid anime background isn't even on by default) and DroidEdit. Both have Dropbox support (Jota requires a separate plugin).
Again, haven't used either app and can't experiment as I don't have an Android, but from the KeePassDroid homepage FAQ section:
> Do you support automated syncing of databases with another device? > The android Dropbox app provides a great way to do this synchronization between desktops and your phone. The Dropbox app on Android doesn't do automatic syncing the same way the desktop version does. I recommend using Dropsync to get automated syncing.
Maybe that's the trick?
Edit: Also, there's r/keepass if you want to search/ask there.
You can use apps like Dropsync to sync a local device folder with Dropbox, or Autosync Google Drive for Google Drive, and there's also OneSync for OneDrive. I'm sure there's others out there, but I've used this developer's apps and can confirm they work well!
Dropsync ftw!
try using an app called dropsync https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en
or by the same developers, there's one drive sync: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.onesyncv2&hl=en
google drive sync: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.drivesync&hl=en
If you just want a folder on your device to be synched automatically to the cloud - there are apps which will do the auto synching.
This way you can just use a file manager app - or your audio recorder app etc. - and that folder you choose will be synched.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync Autosync Dropbox - Dropsync by MetaCtrl
They make a number of apps - like this one for Google Drive:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.drivesync Autosync Google Drive
They also have apps for OneDrive and Box.
Here is their apps list:
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=metactrl
Disclaimer: we are developers of an audio recorder app - we are not related to this particular developer.
You could try saving the files in Dropbox and using Aoutosync Dropbox on the tablet.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en_GB
I get it through the Google Play app store. Link
Yes, check out DropSync.
Just download dropsync and play around with it. You should be able to find a way to make it do whatever you want.
Imho the easiest way is to use dropsync (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync) and sync the whole kustom folder with your dropbox.
Have you considered syncing them all locally? Like you, I tried all the different apps to stream music from Dropbox, with similar results.
I'm now happy with syncing my music directory locally using DropSync.
The obvious downside is that your phone should have enough storage, ¯_(ツ)_/¯
You could use an app like DropSync that does auto-synching of a local folder on your android device to your DropBox account (that developer also makes similar apps for other cloud service providers as well).
If you are downloading to your Downloads folder, you could use DropSync to synch that Download folder to DropBox.
This way anything you put in Downloads, will also be mirrored to the cloud server.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync
Here are their other apps for Google Drive, etc.:
I would recommend the Android app Dropsync.
You just connect it to Dropbox, choose a pair of folders to sync, then it runs in the background, syncing every so often.
Note however that the free version is limited to syncing only small files (size <10MB) to Dropbox. To sync larger files from the Chromebook to Dropbox using Dropsync, you would need to get the full version of the app.
I use the Drive Sync app by the same developers to keep the contents of my 'Downloads' folder backed up to Google Drive and it has come in very handy a few times. I just set it to sync up once every hour, there are options to sync more often but I imagine it'd use more system resources in the background.
My experience with keepass on mobile hasn't been very good, much as I like it on my computer. I've found it tends to download a copy of your database, and then you have that offline copy, rather than a live copy that's up to date with the latest changes you've made. And forget syncing from your phone->cloud.
edit
Apparently the official Dropbox app just sucks?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync&hl=en
