I'd say buy a security camera. You can get one for like ~$30 on amazon. Throw an SD card in it and see if it picks anything up. Face it in a way it can see if someone comes in through a door or window, and just hope nothing shows up lol. But if you're seriously concerned, definitely just shell out the money for a camera.

This one might be nice: https://www.amazon.com/YI-Security-Surveillance-Monitor-Android/dp/B01CW4AR9K/ref=sr_1_5?crid=39YSVY1QMHEYV&keywords=security+camera&qid=1560282013&s=gateway&sprefix=secur%2Caps%2C126&sr=8-5
Never used it, but it's affordable and supposedly gives clear footage, and is easy to use and set up
If youu're really concerned about it and you want to do the camera route you could just get one of these or something similar to put it in the house that way it's been more inconspicuous and have it pointed at the areas where things tend to show up that way no one would know that you found out but you'd be able to have proof that you've caught them https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K8MKR79/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XCXUDbR4TZYAK
You can see the actual colours on this site.
You can see the red colour on the boats on Google as well, which suggests to me that it's some kind if camera error.
To add off of that last sentence, I would use a website like https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/ to generate a unique image so Facebook doesn't find the original image and realize the account is a fake.
I recommend this portable door lock, provided it works with the doors in your Airbnb. I use this for a bit of extra security when needed. It’s great for hotel rooms as well. It can take a minute to get it jammed in properly but it makes so someone cannot get in even if they have a key. Best of luck to you, stay safe. OP listen to the comment you replied to. This does sound like it COULD be Carbon Monoxide poisoning, and that can be very dangerous. Please get a tester and make sure.
You said it only started when you moved, this is what worries me. Could have been a leak in the room from the first day.
Here's two models from amazon that are under $25 if you need a link
Androids have a feature called SOS messages that you should activate. Basically you hit whatever combo of keys the phone has it assigned to and it silently takes a photo on front and back camera, a short sound clip, and sends a message with those and the GPS location to the chosen numbers.
It may also have some form of biometric security, so if MC finds it he doesn't just need to guess the pw he would need Tim's fingerprint/irises/ whatever that model phone has as an option. You can set up individual apps to need these to open as well.
There also may be a secure folder under the security options where he can save any screenshots/messages/ whatever he needs to keep private. If that's not an option on the phone sign him up for a new Google account and set it to auto backup everything to his drive so even if the phone is taken or broken he will still have access to the files.
You should also get some kind of secure messaging app to use instead of the default. I'm not sure what will work with the phone, but have a look at similar apps if that one doesn't.
I'm in Aus so can't find an app for other countries, but you should install an emergency app that will descretely dial 911 with a combo of keys if he needs to.
You could also install a private browser that will not store usage data if he's looking up DV assistance.
Okay guys check out this site. An MIT site with a user by the same username (unscrambled_eggs), and their is a comment at the bottom that is similarly random characters. Coincidence? Or could it be the same person? https://scratch.mit.edu/users/unscrambled_eggs/
Unless you plan on hiding the camera very well I suggest buying something more discreet there is Night stand alarm clocks with hidden cameras for around the same price.
I found one here that has some good reviews for only $30 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H8FPXTJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_R5daDbAXHA20S
i found this spreadsheet which seems to show there are a fair few movies that are just unavailable everywhere, whats funny is that Prime has a landing page for it (at least for me says not available though)
i would assume its a rights issue, if prime has a landing page, but the movie is owned by 20th century fox which is now under Disney, they may be trying to negotiate who can/cant have streaming rights.
While looking i also saw random websites saying Disney+ HBO and Netflix all saying its available through google but once you open the page saying its not again pointing to a rights and licencing issue
"Shore Leave"?
Edit: probably this book
This one straight up says "UBER TEST ACCOUNT" in the name, so I think that says pretty much everything: https://www.ubereats.com/us-es/store/uber-test-account-darryns-deli-taxtech-1131-nyc-ny-%232/AlQJi6zkQZiqIPCZsfFpBw
They are OpenPGP messages, which can be used to encrypt messages to be decrypted by a private key, somewhat commonly used in tech communities (such as Debian) to sign messages or software cryptographically. It's a technology borne out of the cypherpunk community of the 90s with the promise of circumventing the proposed mandated clipper back door.
This looks like an attempt at a high school level invisible marker subreddit among a few friends. Or it could be Russians.
Just do a regular Google search for the name, though - there could be local news articles. You can also do a news-specific search at http://news.google.com.
(You're not using his internet for any of this research, hopefully?)
Low power bug detectors can be had for under $50 on amazon and work with reasonable success... you won't detect super secret FBI surveillance devices or be able to do large spaces quickly but they work for most consumer purposes.. bit hard to figure out if you don't know what you're doing so look up some youtube videos.
Something like this: amazon.com/Detector-Detectors-Sweeper-Wireless-Electronic/dp/B08XBPRR4L
I am not advocating this. It is almost exclusively a terrible and expensive idea. Here’s a clear net version. For much more detail, you can find something similar on the deep web.
Take screenshots first with the link addresss in case you need to contact the police. Craigslist would have the IP it came from and it can be tracked down.
I saw this on craigslist: https://www.craigslist.org/about/scams
If you don't want to go to the expense of a camera system with installed cameras, take a look at game cameras. They run off battery, they're weatherproof so you can throw them up temporarily outdoors, no wifi or network signature and they are cheap. Only disadvantage is they are relatively large and someone could just take the whole camera, so it needs to be concealed somehow. Here's one for $36:
Passive, through-glass cell-phone antenna. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H9GTW3W/
The side with the little antennas is supposed to go inside the glass of a car window, and the side with the big antenna goes on the outside of the glass. The two are (ostensibly) coupled capacitively, allowing the signal to get outside the car.
In practice, they don't work for shit.
You can also pretty easily convert an old smartphone into security cam. I used Alfred when I needed it and can recommend it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ivuu
I'm pretty impressed that in the US the number of book copies is not provided anywhere. I used to think this book is some local thing with no more than 1000-3000 copies, but I was very surprised there are 13 used books on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0897810449/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_taft_p1_i1
As an ex Facebook Employee, here are the things that you need to do:
Retrieve the hotmail account... this is obvious, if it's not possible, though...
You can still retrieve your facebook account though: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/recover-facebook-account-longer-log/
After doing that, lock down the account hardcore:
Account Settings -> Security
This means that you will get an SMS on new logns to the account, and if the device is not recognized it will require an SMS authentication as well.
What kind of phone do you have? It's certainly possible that your S/O installed some sort of spyware on it or you could have accidentally downloaded a sketchy app. You could try downloading a program like Anti Spy (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skibapps.antispyforandroid) and see what it comes up with.
No it is the other way around. If you purchase an intangible item the seller is not protected. If you say you didn't get what you paid for and the other party can't provide proof of shipping, you win automatically. You need to go over the dispute process again and see where you went wrong. I just dealt with a case like this about 1 year ago.
Here it says it right on their website. It clearly states the seller is NOT protected, so you should win as soon as you file a complaint.
"Why doesn't Seller Protection cover deliveries made in person, or intangible goods (such as digital goods or services)?
One of the most important requirements for coverage under Seller Protection is proof of shipment or delivery. Since deliveries made in person and sales of intangible goods do not have verifiable shipping documentation, we cannot currently extend protection for these types of transactions."

Is there some reason she won't tell you? Maybe she doesn't know? Maybe it was a one night stand? Maybe even a rape? Has she given any explanation as to why she won't tell you?
If she legitimately is never going to tell you, you could try and join one of those DNA sites like 23andme to see if any of your relatives are also members.
1) Change your locks, like yesterday
2) If he has cameras they will probably be on his wifi network, not yours, so the network analysis isn't going to help. You have to physically look for them. Something like this can help: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FF2N13V/ref=cm\_sw\_em\_r\_mt\_dp\_U\_Db-7CbK8MGT55
3) Get a camera of your own. There are lots, but this is one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076H3SRXG/ref=cm\_sw\_em\_r\_mt\_dp\_U\_zd-7CbY7B400J
A quick image search for cement mixer Brooklyn brought up this shutterstock,
I read Colonial on the side of the drum. There is a Colonial concrete in NJ who's trucks look like this. I'll leave it up to you to find the contact info etc.
He seems like quite an interesting character - seems to have written a book which you can get on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wisdom-Scroll-Knowledge-Ronald-Legarski-ebook/dp/B077RHXQQV
The synopsis reads as a weird jumble of vaguely esoteric language and corporate jargon.
EDIT: in addition, OP is not the first person to notice Ron Legarski's interesting geo tagging exploits here is an imgur link where someone discusses Legarski's (undersea?) images.
Hi. I have zero knowledge about stuff like this, but was curious because my kids bring home chromebooks from school that I know have monitoring software also. I just haven’t checked what it is, like you have 😅 anyway, I just did a quick Google and it looks like lansweeper is a defunct software that doesn’t do much of anything.
“Although the name would suggest otherwise, LsClient was not a true client or scanning agent. It was an executable that, when run on a Windows client machine with specific parameters, would send a request to your Lansweeper scanning server to scan the client machine.”
Here’s the link to their site: https://www.lansweeper.com/knowledgebase/lsclient-parameters/
I’m not experienced in/know nothing about marking or any of that stuff. I do however know about needing to monitor your home. Here’s a 50$ camera I’ve personally used if all else fails. It will need a micro SD/transflash card and wifi, but it’s motion detected, records when there’s motion, has two way audio, and has an app that notifies when there’s motion that you can check in general. Had to get it myself when I was having my own issues, it’s not perfect, but it helps. https://www.amazon.com/Security-Rechargeable-Surveillance-Waterproof-Detection/dp/B086V5H1YQ?pd_rd_w=fx91Q&pf_rd_p=0ca1e4e5-be02-40f5-977f-f5eb84303fb8&pf_rd_r=44JVH85MMEW4CF3Y0KCV&pd_rd_r=b1fddfbe-21b9-4320-b5ed-37a335e48943&pd_rd...

This is not true. Could have been done with 4 of these:

> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.yas.freeSmsForwarder > or > http://bitesms.com/main/more_features > but there have been ways to do this for about...nine or ten years now. for any phone/carrier there'll be a different way. usually you need access to the phone itself to set this up. Also these are just obvious apps- I have seen or heard of ways to do this that are more like a keylogger, running hidden on the phone, but I don't know specifically what those would be.
You should have known it was an open box if someone returned it. You would have gotten a discount and it would be labeled as open box. Unless someone at Walmart wasn't following policy, but not sure why they wouldn't. They would be going out of their way to break policy.
Maybe it's an x months free thing?
You should be able to see the login for the account in the interface and see if it's your login. Edit: nm. I see you said it's a different name
They have some sort of trial going right now. https://www.roku.com/en-gb/offers/starzplay
The book they were originally published in was Louis Renard's Poissons, Ecrevisses et Crabes but there is now a volume credited to Fallours.
The Account he mentioned to you was probably compromised. check https://haveibeenpwned.com to see if it listed there. make sure to always use a unique password for each single service you use. Use a password manager to make this easier (like dashlane, keepass or lastpass). always use 2 factor authentication where you can.
The email though, as mentioned before is most likely spam.
They claim it works with iPhone, Android, Windows, and Mac. I can confirm it works with iPhone, and I have no reason to think the description is inaccurate in regards to the other operating systems.
From that game's store page, it says that there are in-app purchases that range from anywhere from $0.99 to $99.99.
Probably bought a bunch of stuff.
Do payphones even exist anymore?!!? You must be as old as me!
If OP can't find one and has an android this works well
Another thought: Report the user - here is the direct link to file an OfferUp report. Or you can go to the item in your app and view the purchases item in history — click report then click on “other” and give them the details.
While this will not get you the item you thought you were buying it may help someone else from being scammed by the same individual.
You use a program called ntpasswd, slices through it like butter. You'll spend more time booting it up then anything else.
http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/
Can remove the password from NT 3.5 to windows 8.1 systems.
It's a good tool to have in a kit for people who forget their passwords or when you curb crawl a system, buy one from a thrift store, etc.
As is the norm though, it can be used for evil.
edit: Only way it "fails" if being used for evil or legit recovery is if you encrypted files with windows, that is lost forever. Most don't encrypt their volume though, so it isn't a issue for most
After hunting around a bit, I got this one from Amazon. It arrived a few days ago, and so far I've only good things to say.
Having a quality stand that can reliably raise straight up and straight down is important. They key to zooming in and out and getting a clear image relies on moving the scope closer and further away from the object, while manipulating the focus. Granted, I base this opinion on a sample size of one, but I can't see how someone can easily use one of these unless the stand travels easily vertically.
A long shot but do you have any photos of her? If so, you could try reverse image search and if she does by chance have FB or other social media sites where she has posted older pics, they'd come up. I have actually been able to locate a couple of people this way. I'm sure there are newer/better ones out there but I've been using this app for a number of years.
It seems like you have a decent grasp on what to do next, but in the meantime I’m of the opinion that you should have your windows blocked at all times. It seems like someone is watching you. There is this rainbow window film that you can cover your windows with for privacy, and as a bonus it tosses pretty rainbows around the room when the light comes through. I hope this creep gets what he deserves… stay safe💕
You have their IP and an email address? In theory, that should be pretty easy to trace. Also, I'd just like to say thank you for going to Tumblr Support first.
EDIT: Not sure how helpful this is, but archive.org captured the first page of your Tumblr before it was defaced.
If you go here, you can enter their username and after you enter the captcha, you can see a snippet of their e-mailadress. Something like "k*******". That might narrow it down.
First thing i'd do is run a scan with malware-bytes (or any decent antivirus)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malwarebytes.antimalware
I think the 23 and me one might be a good choice, because it gives you a medical background as well. If OP is trying to see if there is something that may be a threat to him, it might be a good place to start.
Pair this with maybe a chain lock and an indoor camera in case you're sleepwalking.
Many one star reviews. Seems like a good idea. I wonder where the fault is.
This looks interesting: https://www.amazon.com/SABRE-Wedge-Security-Alarm-Siren/dp/B00M30SQGA/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=door+security&qid=1631194479&sr=8-5
Which is why people think the judge may have ulterior motives. If you can, I recommend watching the documentary The Guardians, which exposes how deeply the corrupt guardianship system runs in Las Vegas (Guardianship is another word for "conservatorship". The terminology varies from state to state). Elderly folks who are perfectly capable of caring for themselves, or who have family willing to care for them, are being forced into guardianships that bleed them dry, and it goes all the way up to the judge. Getting out is nearly impossible, even when family gets involved.
While this is focused specifically on Las Vegas residents, it's not unfathomable to think the same things could be happening to Britney under her California conservatorship.
That is absolutely insane. I mean, part of me wondered initially if they're not even air conditioners but are just in air conditioner boxes, but since it comes from Amazon that is highly unlikely.
I'll PM you in a bit once I see how many sellers offer this model on Amazon. You're in the US I assume? Just want to make sure I check the right Amazon sellers.
Edit: Okay, uh, weirdly enough. The actual LG seller on Amazon (both on Amazon.com and .ca, anyways) both are entirely sold out of this unit and it says they don't know when or if it'll be back in stock. :| https://www.amazon.com/LG-Window-Mounted-Conditioner-Remote-Control/dp/B01D3FOD0Q
There are several apps on the Google play store and app store such as Insights for Instagram or Followers track which claim to provide such services to see who has blocked you, however I do not know if they work as I do not use Instagram. There is also a chance your sister or someone else has installed some sort of tracker on your device, has anyone been able to access your phone recently?
Flagging the ad isn’t going to do much. I don’t think Craigslist does anything with these (other than pull the ad after X number of complaints).
Considering your personal info is published online, your best bet might be to message them via the link on their support site.
Have you been able to find the ad yourself? If so, respond to it and pretend to be a customer. See if you can get information about the person that way. Then you can go to the police (though you should file a report regardless).
This will give you basic idea of where the IP could be located.
You will not get any other info without a warrant. Enable 2FA on the account so it doesn't happen again.
You need to install medeco locks. these ones.
They are high security and you need a licenced locksmith in order to duplicate keys with a special ID card that comes with it.
Unpickable (for anyone but a master) not bumpable. Super strong.
This is a known scam tactic. You will have used your email address, with the same password as your email account, to sign up to a site that was later hacked. See haveibeenpwned.com to find out which.
Large databases of these hacked site email addresses and passwords are regularly traded among scammers.
They are trying to frighten you into paying up. They don't actually have any compromising video of you or they would have sent it to you as proof.
Change your email password, and forget about it.
The video appears to be a flare stick burning and would explain the red color as well as the faint crackle. here is an example I found.
I'm sorry. There's definitely a mystery there. Be ready to find out anything if you go searching.
I am an atheist myself, but the genealogists at the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) do a remarkable job at finding relatives around the world. It's part of their belief that they have to baptize ancestors so they've gotten really good at finding them. https://www.familysearch.org
I'm betting that "echo" is their client/agent. Here's the intro page from the support knowledge base. It's likely not nefarious, and in my experience LanSweeper doesn't collect much if any personal information or usage tracking type data, just metrics and telemetry on the computer itself. It's primarily an inventory tool, not a monitoring tool.
One thing I would try is to use a network traffic analyser to see what ip addresses your phone sends data to, in the hope that you can identify what/who is doing this. This is assuming you have a desktop or laptop to install it on, and you have WiFi at home you connect your phone to. Also assuming some technical savvy, or willingness to learn :)
I recommend installing Wireshark, then finding the local IP address of your phone so you can limit the network traffic wireshark logs to just the phone - you can usually do this by logging into your router’s administration settings and looking at all the connected devices.
Then pick your favourite wireshark beginner’s tutorial - I recommend this youtube guide.
IP addresses can be generally tracked to ISP or owning company and general area by using any one of many websites when you google for “ip trace” - so any wireshark output can be checked easily.
There should be a bunch of either apple or google ip addresses depending on what phone you have, there should also be ip addresses for any app you open that goes online, and any websites you visit you should also see that network traffic. These are all going to be legitimate things and you can use wireshark to exclude them from the analysis.
Hopefully then leaving wireshark running and logging for a longer period of time (say 24hrs at least), there’s less traffic logged to look through, and any suspicious and/or malicious activity should be easier to spot in the log.
There have been loads of dataleaks over the years. I had my old neopets password sent to me in a threatening blackmail spam letter, for instance. The neopets data breach was pretty darn huge and I believe by now its publicly available- meaning *anyone* can find my email associated with my account and the password I used on it, because the college kids who originally designed the site in the early days of the internet stored passwords as plaintext. So like Nigerian Prince scams of yesteryear scammers have found a venue that works often enough to try, so loads of them are parsing these lists and sending blackmail letters
https://haveibeenpwned.com/ is an interesting site to see if your email has been in any known data breach and what information has been leaked alongside it.
Dunno about Reddit, but Imgur strips exif data, as a security measure.
But I'd manually strip the exif instead, Windows has a built in option to do just that.
I would pay someone on Upwork.com like $10 to write a script that iterates through all the possible combinations of numbers and file extensions and downloads the image when it finds one. Also have them record the URL where they found a hit so that you can match up the image file to a complete URL. If you've got a huge folder of all the ads it should be pretty easy to sort by file size and visually scan for your photo. Alternatively, they could write a script that when it finds an image, it checks to see if it's a match to your photo and then only document those.
The issue is the TrafficJunky server might cut you off if you're making thousands of requests per second.
Can't your lawyers get them to hand over this stuff through discovery?
It really sounds like somone has access to a universal account that they can send password resets, etc. to. I would recommend using LastPass, and spending a few hours resetting ALL of your passwords again. Let LastPass randomly generate them for you, and up all of the complexity options. Make sure you don't use a previous "universal" password for your master pass into LastPass.
Above all else, trust your instincts!!
Even when you can't quite put your finger on what it is that is freaking you out, oftentimes it is your subconscious survival instinct trying to tell you that something is not right. For the sake of your safety, listen to that voice!
That is basically the central thesis of this great book called The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker. Definitely check it out if/when you have a minute.
I'm sorry you are going through this, and I hate that the people around you are making you feel like you're crazy. Please know that you are not overreacting. You can't be too careful when it comes to protecting yourself. Good luck to you, I hope you stay safe!
OP, please look into the following options.
There's this - cheapest but passable Amazon wig. Get this until your hair grows back out or you can afford another.
These wigs are some of the highest rated I've seen, and I know a few of my friends who do Drag love them. Also, a top suggested vendor on r/Wigs : Love Queen Wigs
Please do not hesitate to come over to r/Wigs and see if anyone could purchase your hair. Or see if anyone has a spare they could donate.
From the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry. This must be an absolute violation, these sickos get off on humiliation. Keep fighting, and believe me, a good lacefront will be an unfathomable relief for you.
I found some Graco cribs on Amazon that say they are manufactured by Storkraft for Graco. https://www.amazon.com/Graco-Benton-Convertible-Crib-White/dp/B00LFP61PW?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1
https://storkcraftdirect.com/product-category/cribs/ so they are sold by Storkraft I guess. Hope this helps!
I use the "Should I Answer" app. It uses crowd-sourcing to block any known nuisance calls. It works on about half the spam calls I get (so many calls these days use single-use spoofed numbers). Your phone doesn't even ring (it will light up to show the blocked call).
It depends how much the victim struggled, and the experience level of the assailant. You do tend to get petechial hemorrhaging, but you can even avoid that if you press in the right spots. (anatomical model)
The FBI can pin down your ass to your chair with your IP if you are using the Internet without protection.
The following is a reasonable enough level of protection based upon the level of risk you are facing. It should prevent the FBI from seeing your real IP:
Step 1. Download the Tor Browser Bundle. Don't change anything.
Step 2. Sign up for a new email account. You may have an issue at many providers due to IP blocks, so use something like safe-mail.net, which doesn't block Tor IPs.
Step 3. Attach the screenshots and send.
Step 4. Abandon the email.

Apparently the PB means the Plovdiv Province http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plovdiv_Province
Yeah this is still out there...TONS of people setup cams, let them be connected to the internet...and then don't change their default security settings.
The current "big dog" is Shodan.io.
Named after the main bad guy in the cyberpunk System Shock series of games.
You can find other things on Shodan besides webcams too.
Craigslist has a list of places to report scams.
The Chicago PD is notoriously corrupt, but you should at least try filing a report with them. If their online form is broken, you could call their non-emergency number or stop by.
As far as getting the word out, look for local reporters who cover similar stories, and see if they're interested in covering this.
And like yeahyeahyeahyeah said, if you figure out who is behind the scam, you could take them to small claims court. Even if the property management firm got hacked, they could still be liable if their negligence allowed the hack to happen. Once you file suit, you may be able to subpoena gmail for more information about who sent the email.
Good luck.

Part of this has the appearance of a cult but another part has the appearance of being some sort of experiment. Possibly in the mental health or technology sector..
Report her textnow account for harassment at https://www.textnow.com/support. They don’t allow their numbers to be used for harassment and theyll probably shut down her account altogether. If she’s using it that much she’s probably paying for it so she’ll lose whatever credits she’s already purchased. Keep reporting her Bc She’ll have to keep creating new emails to make new accounts so it’ll make it much harder on her to continue. I know this is more addressing a symptom than the root cause so let me also suggest- have you offered to talk to her about what her issue with you is? Not in person since she may be dangerous but a phone call (record it in case she threatens you) but maybe she thinks he cheated with you or something, and if she gets too awful you can always hang up but it might not hurt to hear her out and see what her real issue is.
I don't have any hard evidence for Britney's case specifically, but conservatorships, in general, are big money-makers. An estimated 1.3 million Americans are conserved, with conservators controlling roughly $50 billion in assets.
The documentary The Guardians goes into detail about how various players work together to profit from conservatorships. There's also a pretty serious lack of data and oversight when it comes to conservatorships, which makes it easier for corruption to go undetected.
I'm not saying there are definitely illegal/unethical payoffs happening behind closed doors to keep everyone on board with her conservatorship, but it's certainly a possibility.
I saw this mentioned somewhere else in the thread but you should absolutely run all of your email addresses through haveibeenpwned and see if any of your credentials have been leaked.
This looks to me like a regular, ordinary double exposure that used to be very common in old film developing - especially in the disposables like you said your girlfriend had. (The film is a strip that moves from one spool to the other by little teeth gears joining with the holes on the edges of the film. If the film is too loose or it slips for some other reason, or if the capture button was not pressed and then forwarded to a new lock position, these happened very easily. I have a dozen or so from a particularly bad roll I had at one point, but usually there were not that many on a roll.) The roll I have is mostly from one of my own photos that got imposed onto another one in the roll. However, I've had some before where it was a different customer's photo imposed onto mine.
Here's an example of a double exposure that would be from the same camera's roll of film: https://www.tumblr.com/search/double%20exposure%20in%20camera
In this case, it got the whole photo. It doesn't always do that. It can be a small corner, like with your girlfriend's picture.
There is a series of directories called Who Owns Whom. You might be able to find it in a library.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_Owns_Whom
http://www.worldcat.org/oclc/28573035
The whole series costs around £715 or $944, so you're probably not going to want to buy it.
Flickr user Stephanie has identified the fortress as Fortaleza Ozama in Santo Dominigo. As I don't have a Flickr account, I'll add this almost perfect match picture as supporting evidence here:
Before 1903 since that's when the publishing company changed names.
First edition was 1897 according to WorldCat: http://www.worldcat.org/title/complete-poetical-works-of-alfred-tennyson/oclc/229417112?ht=edition&referer=di
One dealer has the 1897 edition for sale for $350 https://books.bibliopolis.com/main/find/3733762/The-Complete-Works-of-Alfred-Tennyson-Poet-Laureate-TENNYSON-Alfred-Yesterdays-Gallery.html
It looks like Frank remarried and moved to Philly: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KQX7-MBY
Also of note, he registered for the draft as Listan, and census records read Liston or Listen. But that link should be a good start if you wanted to find the family.
I haven't seen anyone suggest this yet but check laptops, phones, tablets & any other devices that connect to the internet (eg. baby monitors) for malware & viruses. They may have a compromised device & they're being watched via their own web cam. This could well be a random on the internet doing this for shits & giggles. Here's an article from Nord VPN about hacked cameras.
Have them as a precaution change passwords to all online accounts especially emails, banks & social media.
If they have home wifi they should log in to their modem & check all connected devices are only their own. Change the password to the modem too. (Just in case it's a neighbour who's also leeching off their wifi).
With this ever increasing technological world, we need to be more proactive in protecting ourselves online.
Goodluck!
We have an awesome bar that goes under the door knobs. This is what we use: Master Lock Bar
Your phone is one of the keys to your life, be wary of who have access to your device. I'm not sure about iOS but on Android there are a few apps that can protect yourself from these. One of them is Shelter that compartmentalize your phone into different profiles like work and personal so if one compromised the others won't be. The second is Haven, co-developed by Edward Snowden to prevent physical tampering by turning a spare phone into visual/audio/motion recorder and any physical change will be recorded.
Setting an anti-theft app like Prey on your own device that you can control is also a good way to remotely track and log any suspicious activity remotely or when you are away.
have any friends who are pranksters? maybe one of them bought an annoy- a-tron and placed it in your house! https://www.amazon.com/ThinkGeek-Annoy-a-tron-2-0/dp/B002YE3YDU/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Several people have mentioned that you can use your phone to detect activity and take pictures or record sounds but I didn't see anyone link to Haven so in case you have an Android device, you can effectively turn it into an intrusion detection system of sorts:

ask your landlord to install one or if you can install one yourself.

All really good recommendations. The only thing I could add (regardless of recording laws and one or two party where OP is since it's unlikely it will need to hold up in court but it may be legal too), this would be a good way to remember everything said...and the remote possibility someone associated with OP recognizes the voice. I use the Black Box app and it automatically records all incoming and outgoing calls, if she calls again, that is of course.
The only issue I see with AirTags is android users. There’s an app for android to detect AirTags but I doubt most android users have it.

Nope, PayPal User Agreement 13.3 - Ineligible items. Trust me, used to work for PayPal in the Resolution Services department. Intangible items, services, real estate, other items not covered under PayPal Purchase Protection are not eligible for reimbursement. https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full
Trick around that is if you paid via credit card and not bank funds or PayPal balance is to file a chargeback with your credit card issuer.
