There was some drama and I think the general consensus is to use nextcloud. I've been running it for a while now and I love it.

A lot of Germans, especially those who pay most of the taxes, i.e. (upper) middle class, see the debt of today as the taxes of tomorrow.
The bait and switch is just too familiar, where useful reforms and investments are promised, only to be replaced with public consumption of special interest policy that does shit for growth (pensioners, social programs, refugees, environment). While taxes coldly progress ever upward.
Don't get me wrong, I am all for putting money in the economy in our situation, but I would prefer the helicopter money strategy.
She is legally obliged to list the commercial address of the company. If that's your home address, as it often is for small freelancer businesses, then she's right.
https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/websites/web-development/iso-8601/
> The ISO 8601 standard defines an internationally recognized format for representing dates and times. For times, they are expressed with the notation hours-minutes-seconds. In the case of dates, the format is year-month-day. This basic format enables the numbers to be written directly after another.
> Advantages of the ISO 8601 Standard Compared to Other Common Variants
> ISO 8601 only specifies numerical notations and does not cover any dates and times in which words are included. It’s not intended as a substitute for language-dependent wording, such as “February 1, 1995”. But ISO 8601 should be applied to replace designations like “2/5/95” and “9:30 am”.
> The advantages of the ISO8 8601 standard can be summarized as follows:
> * Easy to read and write with software
> * Easily to compare and sort with a simple string comparison
> * Understandable regardless of the national language
> * Cannot be confused with other common date representations
> * Corresponds with the standard 24-hour time system in which the larger units (hours) are also placed in front of small units (minutes and seconds)
> * Strings that contain a date followed by a time are also easy to compare and sort (e.g. “2019-09-07 20:15:00”)
> * Notation is concise and has a constant length, simplifying keyboard entry and table layout
> * Identical to Chinese date notation, meaning the largest cultural group (>25%) in the world is already familiar with the system
> * Date values with the order “year, month, day” are also widespread, such as in Japan, Korea, Hungary, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and some other countries
> * A four-digit year format does not lead to any problems at the turn of a century

>Should i switch from Godaddy hosting
Yes!
>to Bluehost?
No.
Keep in mind that Bluehost prices go up after the first term and "unlimited" really means some "reasonable", but undefined amount. It's a shame because they used to be great. A similar host is IONOS, and I've been using them for over 10 years with multiple packages and clients using them. That said, if you post a formal recommendation request, you may likely find something better for your needs,.
A pi4 would probably cope, depending on what you're using it for. Here's a guide for setting up Nextcloud on your pi
https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-nextcloud-server/
For a security certificate, use Letsencrypt. Here's a guide for that.
https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-ssl-lets-encrypt/
You will need a domain name so your phone etc knows where to find Nextcloud. I suggest a dynamic name provider (one that your pi sends your IP address to regularly) unless your internet service provider is willing to give you a fixed IP address (they normally charge for a fixed IP and it is cheaper to use a dynamic name provider). I use DynDNS but there are others (here's a list, there are more: https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/server/tools/free-dynamic-dns-providers-an-overview/)
Good luck and have fun!

In Windows, you can set Norwegian as your keyboard language and then just switch to a Norwegian keyboard whenever you write in Norwegian. It’s a little clunky as we also have all our punctuation bound to other keys than an English setup, but with some practice it’ll work. You can easily switch between languages hitting windows+space after you’ve installed a Norwegian keyboard.
I’m sure you can somehow do this with a Mac or Linux computer as well.

it's a bit of a hodgepodge right now.
the most public about it that i've seen is Tucows which has written extensively about its tiered access system and actually has access info. that alone covers a significant chunk of domains.
the only thing i can find from ionos is this article which gives some info but doesn't say anything about how you can actually get in touch with them to request access.

It just means that there's a problem connecting to the content delivery network.
It is a common problem.
The best thing to do would be to use server code that's meant to be server code: Something like PHP or Node.js. If your server has to be run in a gamemaker program, you'll probably need to either rent a server with root access or get a business account and static IP with your ISP.
Renting a dedicated server from IONOS starts at $70/month.
This person got a Comcast Business line with 75 down 15 up for ~$135/month.
Conversely, if you code your server using something like PHP that can be put on a shared server, you can get a domain on a site like Bluehost starting at $2.95/month.
This! Though I doubt Stripe will help, but who know. As a German, I can tell you, anything that does not have an invoice does not exist. You might want to have a read about Reverse Charge and make sure it's stated on your invoice that VAT has to be payed by your European customers. https://www.ionos.com/startupguide/grow-your-business/reverse-charge-mechanism/

Not sure if this is satire but ip addresses dont have to start with 192.168. In fact ips starting with 192.168, 172.16-31, 10 are private ip addresses which means it's what your router at home gives to your PC/phone/console etc. Anything other than what I mentioned above is public meaning that it is the ip that your ISP gives your router. That public ip is used by all of your devices through a process called NAT when they connect to the internet. This ip can be found by asking google what your ip is. About NAT: https://www.comptia.org/content/guides/what-is-network-address-translation Private ip ranges: https://www.ionos.com/help/server-cloud-infrastructure/private-network/private-ip-address-ranges/
"The broadband requirements for hosting a Valheim server should, in theory, be easily met by all professional providers. If you take the upload guideline of 53.4 Kbit/s per player for Steam source games provided by Steam developer Valve as a guide, a broadband connection that offers one to two Mbit/s upload speed should be more than enough. In practice, many gamers experience serious lags as the number of players increases, since these providers may limit the maximum upload speed by default. In this case, consult your provider to remove the restriction - if possible."
https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/server/know-how/set-up-a-valheim-server/
But where does it say how to check this, I am using IONOS as a primary source from where I am trying to move the emails from, I just added the emails as they appear for the username as that is how we log in to their system. Their FAQ page that describes the Email Migration only covers the system I was searching for, I also checked the Exchange if the UserMailbox exist and they are indeed there all 3 of them.
That is the only thing they have on how to migrate to office365, I have no problem adding them as an endpoint and I don't know how to check if the username is correct beyond this, the documentation doesn't say clearly.
Thanks!

you cant start a web hosting company with xampp. you need to have cpanel to do that. but once you have a license for cpanel, it's quite simple. you can get almalinux on a $10 vps, download cpanel, add the license to that ip address, and you're done.
if you meant just putting your own website on xampp, a tutorial is here

Many Windows users will not like Linux. Linux isn't Windows and will never be like Windows. If you can get over that barricade. Than Linux can be for you. Linux been for me, for the past 18 years. Your just putting the FQDN of the namespace.
There has always been a . (root) at the end of the TLD, just nobody really writes it out like that and most systems I believe just put the . in there for you, your just hard wiring it in place.
I had the same issue, looked everywhere and found a tech articles explaining this was a fix cause DFS had some issue knowing where the FQDN ended and the share path began. So by hard putting the root it knows the namespace from the sharepath. I tried looking for the article but it was just a rare find.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fully_qualified_domain_name
https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/domains/domain-administration/fqdn-fully-qualified-domain-name/
No they actually are talking about ToS as the letter gave them a link to read the terms, which are the Terms of Service. There is some confusion because I'm guessing they are translating directly from the CN version instead of using the English terminology but the link they provide makes it pretty black and white.
DMCA format doesn't matter as long as it contains all the relevant information. For the record Ionos and Cloudflare both have their own individual DMCA forms.

Are you using OneDrive syncing for these files?
If so, you might need to login to the ondrive website, go to settings, and "choose folders" i think you can un-sync folders through that menu option.
I assume that you are begginer, so maybe it would be better for you to use XAMPP (https://www.apachefriends.org/pl/index.html)? It has simple installer, and you gets working server, PHP and MySQL server out of the box.
There you can find detailed tutorial: https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/server/tools/xampp-tutorial-create-your-own-local-test-server/
https://www.ionos.com/domains/domain-transfer Yeah that probably where I am confuse, it said where I enter the domain it said $1 first year then $15, further down it said free transfer but pay at renewal price? If that then can I just let it expire after wait period then buy at new for $1?
I use paper sometimes too, especially when I have a day or week where I am doing something very unroutine. The concept of externalisation is one that I honestly forget on the regular. I have a general feeling that externalising through paper (or other handwriting method) is more 'tactile' than using an app or keyboard and therefore work much better for some people.
Should I maybe add a Paper/Externalisation Methods to the list?
Have you looked into GTD?
I have seen it mentioned in a bunch of posts and it seems pretty popular. Don't know how it works specifically.
Also please let me know if you find anything noteworthy!
Your current pattern allows all users from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.255. On CIDR format, that would be
AllowUsers *@192.168.1.0/24
The /24 cover the 192.168.1 part (each octet cover 8 bits), check the expanded pattern.
There are various approaches actually, and you probably want to use a public key instead so even if a device in your network is compromised, brute-forcing is not possible.
There is certainly a bandwidth of "free" out there. I'm not going to argue with that.
In North America:
I have a 2$-Server at IONOS, but I use it solely as SSH-relay (needed the static IP "somewhere"). That may be just too weak to run Nextcloud, but could also be just enough to sync calendars, contacts and notes with a few users. The next larger one is 7$/month (after 6 months for only 4$) and I think that should work pretty fine already - don't expect incredible speed of course. You might want to try the smaller one first. Upgrading is usually fairly easy and you likely won't even have to re-install everything, just pay more.
Link: https://www.ionos.com/servers/vps
Plus taxes of course... because it's a silly tax system here.
If you're not in North America, search for a provider closer to your location - I can tell it makes a difference!
There are plenty of other providers! Some internet search is recommended.

>window's command line....?

You don't have to memorize all of that, of course (no one does), but it helps to familiarize yourself with most of the network-based ones.
I was thinking an old fashioned tool (may be a decade out of date advice) but it looks like there are finder shortcuts and terminal commands to enable viewing invisible files. Link.
I would start by setting the system to use a custom DNS, probably Google's Public DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4). Here's a guide explaining how to do that step-by-step.
on user creation or login, the user sends their password as encrypted plaintext (let the browser handle the encryption through TLS/SSL, don't write your own).
you receive the request on the app server. you hash the password.
if they're logging in, you look for the user/email address row, and then see if the hash matches.
if they're creating a user, you just insert the hash.
another thing to be aware of is salting the password before hashing. never use raw md5s or sha1s or any other base hashing algorithm alone. instead, first use a custom salt function, then use the hashing algorithm. the custom salt function could be as simple as appending "CaptainTurko!" to every password before hashing but there are others that are much more complex. the result of this is that the hashes are now unique to your system making generic and readily available rainbow tables worthless. if someone was to crack your system, they'd also have to locate your salting function and rebuild the entire rainbow table from scratch rather than just downloading readily available rainbow tables for common hashing functions.
just checked for DynDNS comparisons. these sites give around 15 different providers: https://socialcompare.com/en/comparison/dynamic-dns-providers
https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/server/tools/free-dynamic-dns-providers-an-overview/
But you are rights it is a whole new topic and will blow up your guide. for people with fritzbox-router i can recommend dynv6.com like i said in the last post. they give you the exact config for this router brand.
Not sure of about just slash commands, but here is a full list of CMD commands: https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/server/know-how/windows-cmd-commands/

Whether or not you can use a slash command like /s /q depends on what initial command you are using.

You get a 522 error, meaning the CF servers can't reach your NAS. Since you're saying you can reach it yourself directly, CF is probably blocked. You should check your firewall settings.
Well--that depends on a lot of things. Since you didn't post any code, it's very hard to help you. Here's is a good, basic example on how to create a form and insert the data into the database. It should be more than enough to get you started: https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/websites/web-development/use-php-to-insert-information-into-a-mysqlmariadb-database-from-an-html-form/

It is extremely annoying, and on my previous laptop I had run a registry edit to permanently disable it (it remapped the key function to nothing essential).
I had a look to see what I could find, and came across the below. I tried the cha ge to shift key solution, but pressings caps lock still turns it on, but won't turn it off (that's now shift) so not really sure what the benefit it. It also gives a reg edit, and a program that does that edit for you - neither of which I have used so can't speak to how well they work/how safe they are.
https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/websites/web-development/caps-lock/
I’ve been with ionis , formerly 1&1, for decades and have multiple Wordpress sites. Two of them are for podcasts. I can’t say anything bad about them and the price is right.
https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/server/security/hash-function/
Essentially yeah! The "password" is just a random nonce (one time use integer) added to the block after all the transactions that makes it so the block will be "signed" with the correct "hash." The above explains hash functions in more detail.
The blockchain is secure from people trying to add fake blocks by the difficulty of generating the correct nonce to satisfy the hash. So long as more than 50% of the computing power trying to guess these blocks is run by people playing fair, the odds are that legitimate blocks will be added.

What about this company ? ionos I believe it’s $12 for the first year.
I had the same problem but it was just as easy as fixing my boot order.
Here is a good article that’ll help you deduce what you gotta do:

Whoah whoah, you can transfer domains from one provider from another https://www.ionos.com/help/domains/transferring-your-domain-away-from-11-ionos-to-another-provider/transferring-a-domain-from-11-ionos-to-another-provider/
Do not cancel your domain, go through the process of a zone transfer.
I had a server from Ionos for the past years and love it.
It's not free but very close ($5/mo) with domain, SSL etc...
since you mention multiple apps, I believe putting in more work at the beginning to have your own solution is well worth the time. Get your own server (you can have multiple domains) and simply upload everything there. You can get domain and server for $5/mo from ionos.
Extended ping tests to start. Wire a laptop into your gateway eero and ping Google for at least 10 hours. Look for packet loss in the result. Repeat the test but this time plug the laptop directly into your modem. You’re isolating an ISP problem from an eero problem with this test.
https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/server/tools/continuous-ping/
try this. You’ve said you have recently moved as well, so you might benefit from trying to flush DNS and release-renew your IP too. Dunno if that would fix it but it’s worth a shot.
In general, only host names with the ending .local are possible with multicast DNS. That limits this form of name resolution on local networks. Host names with other top-level domains (TLD) – such as .de or .com – are not processed by mDNS. Web addresses can, therefore, not be resolved in this way.
That help at all?

You can search for ways to change the keyboard to the standard Hebrew layout. Once you have it installed, it is a simple alt-Shift to swap between English and Hebrew.
Though, unless you are planning to move to Israel or would otherwise need to know how to touch-type on a proper Hebrew keyboard, I absolutely recommend installing the Tyndale House keyboard instead. (Tyndale House is the name of the religious studies library at Cambridge University.) Instead of the traditional Hebrew layout - which according to a recent /r/hebrew post is based on Yiddish(!) - this matches the Hebrew letters to an English equivalent. For example dalet is on D and mem is on M because of how they sound, and alef is on X because of the shape. (A is saved for the A-class vowel marks.) It is super, super intuitive and easy to use.
We are hosting couple of our servers here. https://www.ionos.com/hosting/dedicated-hosting
Stable, had couple outages though, but in general service is good.
TCP is based confirmation that every package sent has been received by the recipient (AD server in your instance).
This allows you to monitor all outgoing (and incoming) connections when you run an AD command from PoSh. TCP has various “connection states” which indicates where in the process. First package sent is a SYN_SENT package. If this is received by the recipient device, the recipient will respond with with a SYN_ACK. When this is done, the parties can start the intended communication.
If a firewall is blocking a port, your connection will be in a SYN_SENT state as the ACK will never come due to the firewall dropping the package.
Also, by checking the process identifier you can see all in- and outgoing connections, including local and remote port numbers used.
netstat explanation “ano” is the same as “nao”, just different orders.
To ensure it doesn't change, you can change the static ip configurations on the pi to that IP and on your router reserve the choosen IP to for your pi with the MAC address and with a reboot you should be good.
You can lookup "reserve ip for [routers name and model]". That'll give you good instructions on how to do that.
To set the static ip on the pi, you can get instructions here. I personally set mine to the ip 192.168.1.250 as 250 is far away from ips normally assigned to devices and it keeps things clean. Up to you though. Let us know if you've solved the issue or encountered another problem
I found this, might want to try some of these potential fixes: https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/hosting/technical-matters/err-connection-closed/
My setup is Cloudflare for domains ($8/year) and a server with Ionos ($5/month).
In your case, it would already be less than half what you're spending ($140 vs $350).
Also, beware of "cheap" domains, usually, they jack it up after 1 year.
I think my host provider removed it to make customizing it easier for us noobies. I just deleted it today to help me debug because I had a javascript page redirect on it too and it got annoying lol
The SMTP server port and address are determined by the mail provider you are using, not by your ISP. Look up or search for the settings for your mail provider. As long as you are using an authenticated sign-in to their SMTP server, the ISP you are using makes no difference.
It's been this way for many years. The very old method, using the ISP's mail server, was eliminated, because it was trivially easy for spammers to use open SMTP servers.
For example, I have an email account with Ionos. Their website shows their server names and ports:
https://www.ionos.com/help/email/general-topics/settings-for-your-email-programs-imap-pop3/
Hmm not sure sorry. I'd guess something to do with your network/proxy settings. This site seems to have some decent things to try: https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/hosting/technical-matters/err-connection-reset/

Yes, according to their help page, a max time is set and cannot be exceeded:

API is basically a way for different code to communicate with each other. WebAPI is an API which communicates over the web.
These guys have created a WebAPI in php. You need to deploy this api on your local machine.
Two ways to to deploy it:
Once this webAPI is running on your machine you can use postman to talk with it. this is dependent in how the php is written.
My suggestion is to create you own simple API from here and then call it from postman then you will be able to understand the existing php files.
You can, for example, use ARP-Poisoning to reroute all traffic of a target host, enabling you to read and manipulate all packets.

Can potentially register a domain here for cheap. Why would you be required to reg with Azure?
Pair your newly owned domain with a free/cheap DNS (cloudflare has a free tier, for instance) and point to your azure VM.
Honestly I would let them know how it's affecting the front end department and what your perception is of the whole situation, it would be a bit different if he was being asked by a store leader to leave the post but if he is doing it on his own that's something that can be nicely talked about, I wouldn't bring a manager involved if its something you can fix by just being real with them.
Has anyone else noticed this same pattern or just you? If other people have seen it then instead of using yourself as the perceiving individual refer it to "The perception of others" it's hard to argue when other people are seeing the same behavior.
Best of luck :)
Also you can use the sandwich method here is a link that can help you with what can be considered a difficult conversation
