After sending this message, it stroke me - I should't search the Chrome Web Store, but the Play Store. 2 Minutes later I had (Win-)RAR installed, which extracted the 5 GB archive really fast and all my issues are sorted now.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar (and I'm pretty sure most other Android Unrar / Unzip tools will work just as well)
I feel retarded for not thinking of this earlier, but maybe someone else has a similar issue? First time, that I really find a useful Android app for my Chromebook...
Bro, since it looks like you're playing on your phone, if you're not already doing so, download retroarch, go to cores, download cores, and scroll down to nxengine. Once it's downloaded, go back to the cave story website, and download a normal download of english translation (or whatever translation on there that you like) of the original pc version( yes, I mean download it from the section with the windows logo above it) and unzip it with an unzipping app (, here's the one I use RAR ) I don't recommend unzipping it straight into your downloads folder, but into a dedicated folder. Once you do that, reopen retroarch and go to cores and click on nxengine, then after it takes you back to the main screen, click load content, and this path SHOULD work ( emulated/0 , then scroll down to Downloads, then click on it and find your folder in downloads, then open the folder and click on doukutsou.exe( idk the spelling) and the game should run
Note: the nxengine core should be up where cores that start with X are at because it's also called the cave story core.
Tell me if you're having trouble getting it to work. Otherwise, the entire game is exactly the same, literally using the original exe, to run, so there should be little to no problems at all, and it doesn't really make your phone chug( at least not for me playing even on a old motorola g3 from 2012 with 2 gigs of ram) so there shouldn't be problems with your phone really getting hot.
If the problem is only the size of the obb file, you can do the following:
Install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
Run, select the desired folder or the obb file itself
Click Add to archive...
Slide to Advanced
In the line "volume size" select the desired size (for example, 100 mb or 500 mb)
Click OK

The result will be an archive of several small parts that can be uploaded one by one
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
I found this android app. It allowed me to convert all the folders into individual rar files. It had an option to do that, pretty fucking neat. I'll use your method to convert rar to cbr, but I guess cbr readers will also read rar files.
If you're using Windows, then 7zip will suffice. If you're using Chrome OS, this app will do it. If you're using another Linux distro, there's probably a similar program in its respective package manager.
Do you mean RAR app by RARLAB?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar&hl=en
It seems to be a commercial app. Are there any restrictions about (un)zipping etc.?
First, you need to download this app. Then use it to decompress the compressed file. After that, open the obb folder which you've just extracted, you're gonna see a folder named "com.tencent.iglite", copy that folder to the android obb folder (this folder can be found in your internal directory, in a folder named "Android").
i just put all my should-be-private photos in a folder, and then archive with password, with this
some gallery apps just hide it somewhere, or use some proprietary (and weak) encryption.. and it's not portable. I can open my encrypted rar everywhere (PC, laptops).

Seeing as it is a public library they possibly put preventions in place for mounting drives, could also possibly be the PnP drivers are being blocked.
Probably the easiest surefire way is to zip them up on your phone with software like RAR and upload them to your Google Drive through the Library Wifi, then download and extract on the PC.
Another way is to use a local file server like Wifi File Transfer on your Android phone, that is if they are on the same local network.
What if you package all the songs into a .zip file (download RAR) and upload it to Google Drive, and give your friend the download link? Then he can install RAR and unzip the songs.
It's not corrupted, but rather an issue with the extraction/unzipping software. It happened with me a few months ago.
Have u tried unzipping/extracting it in mobile. If the content is corrupt then the will show error. Or try rar app to extract/unzip it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
I did, i was able to do the whole patch from my mobile. To my surprise it was really stright forward.
I think I used RAR unzipper to extract the files needed for the site to patch the rom.

Sometimes files are compressed to save space, and you have to use an extraction software to uncompress them. The game file itself ends in .3ds, and the .7z is the folder that contains it. It's a lot simpler than it sounds, for starters download RAR to extract the 7z. Then select the 7z file and press the button with the up arrow at the top of the screen, press ok, and yay the file is uncompressed.
For handling zip files and tgz file I use RAR from RARLab by win.rar GmbH. It's free on the Google play store. It's not the sexiest thing in the world, but it works.
Answer: You can't.
Ok, well maybe you can. But Damon isn't a very good emulator so it won't run in an acceptable manner because it's relatively new. But if you really want to play it, you'll need to install the PS2 BIOS and get the rom itself (be careful, make sure the file extension is .iso or .rar or .7z or .zip and not .exe, executables are usually viruses). You can look up how to install the BIOS, I kinda forgot how to since I haven't used PCXS2 in a while. Perhaps someone else will tell you how. If the rom is in .rar, .7z, or .zip, you're gonna need to unzip it. And you know what that means, WinRAR. Or more specifically, the Android version, which you can find here. Then, all you have to do is find the rom in the emulator and voila, you've got [insert game here] running on your phone. Hope this helps!
It is probably because its your phone. Google does have a unzip native program if i remember correctly but if not grab winrar from the app store andriod app link but make sure you have enough room on your phone because it may need cache room as well as room to extract unless you trying to just grab a single folder. Outside of that...maybe grab the datpiff app i guess for the meantime.

Did you do these following steps?
>First, you need to download this app. Then use it to decompress the compressed file. You should just click the link, download, and you will need something to be able to unrar the file. This is an archived rar file and has the file within. Use THIS
I did it like it:
I was able to open it in Astonishing Comic Viewer like that.
RAR by RarLabs.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
It looks like RAR should be able to
When it comes to encryption, reliability is very important. The app RAR made by the same company who created WinRAR is as reliable as it gets. This app has an easy to use interface and it includes a file browser. With RAR you can create either ZIP or RAR encrypted files with the AES 256 algorithm which are readable by any app (from any operating system) who supports these formats. You don't even necessarily need RAR or WinRAR to decrypt those files. Of course, everything is local and it doesn't depend on the internet or on other proprietary apps.
If you want some instructions, I wrote a guide for you:
Start RAR, browse to the folder you want to encrypt (don't enter in that folder), select the checkmark on the right side of the folder, then tap the Create archive button (the first one on the top bar on the right side of the title).
Input a name, select either ZIP or RAR, select Delete files after archiving if you want to delete the originals, then tap Set Password..., input password, check Encrypt file names (the ZIP format doesn't have this option) and tap OK.
Tap the Advanced tab and select Store without compression (most media files are already compressed as hell; if you don't want to wait forever use this option).
Tap the OK button and wait until it's done or tap the Background button.
You can save the settings (without the password obviously) by tapping the Profiles button from the Archiving option panel and selecting Save current settings as default, so you don't have to do set the same options over and over again.
After that you can use any decent file manager or file archiver from any OS to access the content of your encrypted file, of course if you know the password. No need to use proprietary formats by apps like Solid Explorer or whatever. One more thing: I recommend you to use a long and fairly complex password (it could be just some random words put together). The longer, the better.
Well there is RAR from rarlab: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar&hl=en

Fallout 1 tutorial [Fallout 2 tutorial][(https://youtu.be/BKulLExzU98) For extract the files use RAR . The PlayStore Magicdosbox cost money so download a free one from Aptoide (don't worry about the messages which say that can be harmful, i can confirm that is harmless) Then write your email so i can send to you a "Fallout.ISO" file with Gmail, which you need for make the games work. I recommend to do a folder where you'll put the Files of a SINGLE game: Fallout 1 folder -> Fallout 1 files 👍 Fallout 1 folder -> Fallout 1 and 2 files 👎 For avoid confusion or other potential issues.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar should let you extract just the one file

I usually use this app to unzip rar files:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
You can install RAR from Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar). I use it on my phone and it has always worked well
You need to use a files management app that let you choose an app to open any file. I use the RARLAB. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
I use RaR for extracting files. Leaving that here in case the issue is with your file extractor
Download the European BIOS and GOw2 is nearly 7 gb in zip.
Use this app to unzip the file. Takes only 5 mins to unzip. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
Ok
Download the cia i linked above, its a rar file so you might need a different file manager to unpack it (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar)
scan this qr with your 3ds (https://imgur.com/a/QEyaYVJ )
this will install ftpd on your 3ds
install an ftp client on your tablet (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lysesoft.andftp )
open up ftpd on your 3ds, its gonna say "server started" and an ip with port, enter those in the ftp client app, you should now be able to see the folders on your 3ds sd card.
Now you can upload the .cia to the 3ds and install it like usual using fbi
Both devices have to be on the same wifi for this to work
Unzip it.... It's zipped up. On Android I use rar. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
Dunno if the thread is dead and if you no longer need this service, but I found this post trying to mod my in app purchases of Kotor and Kotor II. This will help you find all of your downloaded application files but specifically for Kotor and Kotor II.
(Mind you I am not tech expert but this is my basic 101 grasp of the situation and through trial and error in my 23 years I've been an amateur modding my Kotor games on multiple platforms)
First things first, I believed maybe Chromebook operate like Apple iOS and removed the capability of opening obb and data files without a "jailbreak," and I was wrong. Simple fix is opening the "Files" application on your Chromebook, clicking the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner below the button to close the window and ensuring "Show All Play Folders" is checked.
Once you've selected this option, continue the steps as follows,
My Files > Play Files > Android > data > com.aspyr.swkotor (or) com.aspyr.swkotorii > files
Once you're in this folder "create new" folder labeled "override" and any mods you install can be copied and pasted in this new folder named "override." Most mod sources give these direct instructions to drop them in a custom made override unless they require and installer application (I have little to no experience with these and have exclusively used mods without an installer on mobile the last few years)
I recommend reading the description of mods you wish to use and avoid ones that require the installer unless you can allow permissions to install and use the application on your Chromebook, once again I cannot confirm if you can or not.
Any files downloaded will likely be compressed in a zip, I'd recommend installing the RAR application from the Play Store and use it to unzip any folder containing your mods.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
As an example I'm using Fens' Player texture model replacer to change the head of my player character. https://www.nexusmods.com/kotor?tab=popular+%28all+time%29
After downloading the files, I open RAR and go to the folder "Download" > "Fen's - Player-1178.zip" > "Fens - Player" > and once inside I select all of the contained files (.txi & .tga) > "Extract Files" > Select "Browse" in the top right of the pop-up window > find the aforementioned com.aspyr.swkotor folder by hitting the icon with of a folder and an upward arrow over it > files > the "override" we created and hit "ok" in the bottom right hand corner.
You will now find all of your copied files within the override folder of your game folders. I recommend a startup test every time to copy and paste mod files, in the event of not completely frying your game and having to delete the override and do a complete uninstall, I have sadly made this mistake hundreds of times in the past.
Congratulations, you've now completed your first "installation" of a mod to Kotor and can begin playing the game with your nice HD textured face mod!
Sidenote: Now that you've used the "Browse" option to select the override folder, the next time you install a mod you may select "Destination Path" instead and it should present the option to select >/Storage/Emulated/0/Android/data/com.aspyr.swkotor/files/override which is a working shortcut without all the searching through other folders.
For any future Play Store players on mobile or chromebook, happy modding!
There are plenty of YouTube guide out there too Incase you need a visual aid.
Here's what I use tho.

Download it and open it with RAR or other app
Extract it using an app like rar (Google play) to your download folder and follow the other steps I left in the previous comment
Do you have access to a computer? If not I'd look into something like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
Mobile or PC?
Mobile you'll need RAR to extract the files and a ROM Patcher to patch the ROM (I use Android, may be different on IOS).
PC you'll need Lunar IPS.
I can't share the ROMs themselves. You'll have to find them.
Download the files above, the ROMs and the hacks. Extract the files with RAR. Open ROM Patcher/Lunar IPS. Choose the ROM and patch. Save it under a name you'll recognize. I'd recommend checking Backup ROM too so you'll still have the original.
I can only find Kaizo. Can't link ROMs so this is just the hack patch. You'll have to find Omega on your own. Hope this helps.
Wallpaper - I first found the wallpaper in this sub, but I went online to find a higher rez image. The image linked is different than the one showed because I edited the lighting and stuff using Lightroom
Font - I downloaded the zip file on my phone and used WinRar and iFont to extract the font file to be useable.
KWGT - I used Cut which is part of the basic pack when you download the app. I just took out the layer that hides part of the wording.
Energy Bar - idk it looks cool
I dont really want to clutter the screen with all the apps, which is why im using folders instead. If you have any suggestions on what would make this theme better, please let me know.
you should install rarlab's RAR which also opens zip files
Try using this file manager RAR you should be able to access root with that.
Why not use this?
I used this one on my Android phone
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
I am browsing reddit on mobile so I apologise for not hyperlinking.
You can personalise your phone here: https://www.android.com/myandroid/
Open .rar files: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
Torrent directly on your phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vuze.torrent.downloader (just remember to shut it down when not using Wi-Fi)
I use the RAR app, by the developers of Winrar for Windows, and .rar files open with it by default without issues.
These are .zip files so you'll need to go to the play store and download a zip extractor. I use this one
Oh, you need to install something that can open and extract .rar files
Try RAR:

No, but any worthwhile compression utility nowadays will handle 7z files. RAR and winzip both handle it.
