Well, let's hope this take is right:
> The moment that Donald Trump issues an executive order directing that the citizenship question be placed on the census, it will be enjoined by multiple different district courts.
>And it will not be possible to consolidate on appeal with no fact-finding and get them back before the Supreme Court even before the October deadline.
> We will be able to run out the clock on an executive order.

If you are in the US and have a valid .edu email account, visit here to get 50% off. It's a fantastic service, and I use it all the time! I signed up because T-Mobile did the unlimited streaming, and it was worth it!
And you get Hulu with your Spotify subscription for no extra cost
Edit: I should clarify that you get a Hulu subscription for no extra cost only if you already have a student discounted Spotify subscription. You have to sign up for this in a certain way and I think it's only available in the US
Edit 2: I think this is the link to sign up for the Hulu account. It's from September so it might not still work right
If Kawhi re-signs with Toronto (or any other team but the Clippers) I'll be convinced that this entire year Woj has just been a mouthpiece for the Clippers. They did hire a bunch of new people for their front office (e.g. Lee Jenkins)
They both appear to have a good relationship
https://player.fm/series/the-woj-pod/lee-jenkins
Steve Ballmer got his own propaganda army to make his team look good
If this isn't a case for Apple's version of Spotify Connect, don't know what is.
As it stands now, you can't use your iPhone's Music app to control Apple Music on Alexa devices, Google Home/Nest devices, and now PS5.
They give a student discount. 50 percent off. If you still have your college email, now is the time to pull it out.
Edit: apparently only works if you're still enrolled
Try spotify premium for 99c for 3 months. I believe new customers only. But give it a try see which is best. Just remember to drop it before the 3 months is up if you don't want to renew.
Joe Biden is an inspiration, but he shouldn't run in 2020. I honestly don't think he'll have much of a chance. Some great democratic alternatives are Jason Kander of Missouri and Gavin Newsom. Kander may be a rising star in the party.
If anyone wants to get more insight on Kander, he spoke with former Obama advisers a few weeks ago. They encouraged him to be "front and center" in the party because he has the same sincerity that their boss had 10 years ago.
EDIT: You guys have convinced me that Newsom may not be the best choice. Someone once mentioned Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, but he's currently bidding for DNC chair.
Canada is literally the fatherland of tax fraud. Canadians basically invented off-shore accounting and we are notoriously bad at persecuting corporate/individual tax evasion.
There will be no repercussions.
Here's a nice article from the Star about the 75-240 billion dollars wealthy canadians avoid paying taxes on each year. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thestar.com/amp/news/canada/2018/06/28/canadians-with-offshore-holdings-evade-up-to-3-billion-in-tax-per-year.html
For a country of only 30 million people that's quite astounding.
I just listened to a podcast about this exact topic and I've been trying to find it but I can't remember who made it. Ultimately though, tax evasion in Canada is basically legal if you take the necessary steps. Our oversight agencies charged with investigating these issues are absolute jokes that do nexy to nothing at all.
EDIT: the podcast was by Canadaland, Thanks to inhumantsar for the link https://player.fm/1tXJgk
Canada has no federal oversight agency to investigate tax evasion, corporate or private.
Tax evasion is so systemic here that banks like CIBC and TD have been/currently are implicated in illegal activities and have faced/are facing legal repercussions as a result. And the funny thing is, nobody really even talks about it.
So basically, if you're a rich Canadian that isn't evading taxes, you are a minority.
For anyone interested in some deep reading on the topic check out:
Canada: A New Tax Haven: How the Country That Shaped Caribbean Tax Havens is Becoming One Itself by Elain Dewault
Guys from GCHQ in the episode of The Infinite Monkey Cage said that the only accurate thing in that film was that Turing's name was Alan.
Still good movie though
He was a really interesting figure! He became more and more political the older he got and was an active, dedicated member of the Communist Party. Since all Communisty Parties at that time were more or less answering to Moscow, the USSR wanted to prop him up as a major global communist, since he was the most famous and influential artist in the world. At the same time, Cubism was very diametrically opposed to Socialist Realism, which was the official art style of the Communist Party. This created a lot of drama, but never a full blown rift - there was much more to gain by having him in the party than by maintaining a pure line on art.
I have shamed my family. I will now recompense my sins by carving Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconisos into my forearm with a school compass while listening to grammar podcasts at full volume until I feel learned. Also I think I need this top
It's like nobody actually watches the games... In the playoffs, lue out coached all the other eastern coaches. Zach Lowe talks about Lue doing just that in this podcast https://player.fm/series/the-full-48/espns-zach-lowe
But continue to think that a coach can win a championship and make 3 finals in a row by accident.
This has been said before but I'll say it again. I recommend that everyone should go listen to the Zach Lowe podcast episode with Ryan Saunders. I had only just listened to it last night and I am so glad I did.
Ryan talked a little bit about not only building a team but creating a family out of the staff and players. Ryan has really connected with Naz ever since Minnesota picked him up, talking about their interests and hobbies. Ryan said at first Naz is a bit more on the quiet side but after Naz told him that he likes to draw and do art, Ryan said he should do a mural for a new barber station in the Target Stadium.
Ryan said his face instantly lit up. I'm my opinion I feel like Naz Reid will have a story like Udonis Haslem in that he will be with us for a long time. <3
I looked up the terms and conditions but I didn't see anything about US only. This offer was shown and found on the Spotify US website, though.
Diaw is the best. He literally keeps ^(kept?) special lotion under lock and key that he uses before games, and walks his dogs on a Segway. I'm sure that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Carving up LeBron's dream team in the Finals despite being a fatty fits his pattern of strangeness very nicely, imo.
Sarah Kliff also noted on The Weeds last night that the states who receive the 8B will have a choice of what to do of it. They're not required to set up the high risk pools, they could use it for public health stuff or to reduce copays or there's a few other options - and these don't substantively help people with preexisting conditions from paying extremely high premiums. The CBO speculates that few states will take the option to create the high risk pool.
Another crucial point that they make is that the CBO has not scored this bill in its current form, which means we don't really know how much it will cost or how many people will lose their insurance.
https://player.fm/series/voxs-the-weeds/high-risk-podcasting
Joe is entertaining to be sure, but if you want a podcast hosted by someone a little less agro and a little more composed, you should really try out the Tim Ferriss show. He interviews a lot of the same people and some other very fascinating characters.
Amazing. It seems that german comedian Jan Böhmermann knew about that video as his speaker confirmes to Der Spiegel. In a YouTube video the day before the video of Strache was published he said "it might be that Austria burns tomorrow". In his podcast from 3rd september 2018 he sais: "I was on vacation on ibizza with 2 very good friends and a few models and rented a yacht"

~~I really should have jumped on the $.99 for 3 months deal they had a couple days ago~~ It's still up, but to be completely honest I don't get out of the house enough to justify the $10/month that it becomes afterwards. Especially being a high school student, I'm really only listening to music on mobile to and from school. Otherwise I'm at my computer or listening to podcasts.
Fun fact! The Stanford Prison experiment is not what mass media made it out to be. The people in charge exaggerated and encouraged everything that happened. The podcast You're Wrong About goes into all the biases and misinformation about this case here

Here’s an episode of Stay Tuned with Preet featuring an amazing interview with Bill Browder. He explains Putin’s rise to power. It’s worth a listen.
Here’s a follow-up interview on why Bill Browder is Putin’s #1 enemy.
I can't stand when people get on about this, because they really don't have a clue about military budgeting, it's fucking ridiculous.
I now send people to listen to this podcast, since it so clearly breaks down wasteful military spending. We can significantly increase the lethality and capabilities of our military while also significantly decreasing the cost of it. Republicans don't give a shit about the lethality of our military, they give a shit about the guys who are bribing them so they're granted billion dollar contracts for no reason at all.
Robert Kirkman on the Knocking Dead podcast: >“Not only was that snot bubble absolutely 100% definitely real- Andrew Lincoln is superhuman when it comes to weird stuff like that… I can’t remember exactly what episode it was, but it was… Season 4, episode 9 or 10, when uh- I think it was 10- after Rick has been in the house with Carl and Michonne shows up, when he’s like near death after like fighting the Governor, those guys break into the house and Michonne and Carl are gone and Rick is hiding under the bed. And they’re filming that scene, and Andrew Lincoln goes to the director and goes, “So I know we’re air conditioning this house, but there’s no air conditioning in the apocalypse in the summer, do it’d be pretty hot in this room, right. So I’m pretty nervous, so while I’m under the bed I’d be sweating a lot.”
>And the director goes, “Yeah. Yeah you’d be sweatin’ a fair bit.” And he goes, “Okay, great.”
>And he went over into the corner and he started- laughs- flexing his muscles and going FWOOOOOOOOOOOHFF for like, five minutes! And the director went over and was like, “Andy… Andy what- we can mist you! What are you doing?!” And he was like “Nah man I gotta feel it, I gotta generate this from the inside!”
>If you watch that episode, he has sweat beading on his forehead and dripping down his nose and like hanging off, in a FULLY air conditioned room, and just, puddling! On the floor beneath his face!
>So, yeah, that snot bubble was real.”
The best part is that the actual opinion did not entirely agree with Barr's "summary" of the "principal conclusions." It's turtles all the way down with this guy.
>What’s different from that struggle and the current struggle over the Mueller report is that we know how the one in 1989 eventually turned out.
>When the OLC opinion was finally made public long after Barr left office, it was clear that Barr’s summary had failed to fully disclose the opinion’s principal conclusions. It is better to think of Barr’s summary as a redacted version of the full OLC opinion. That’s because the “summary” took the form of 13 pages of written testimony. The document was replete with quotations from court cases, legal citations, and the language of the OLC opinion itself. Despite its highly detailed analysis, this 13-page version omitted some of the most consequential and incendiary conclusions from the actual opinion. And there was evidently no justifiable reason for having withheld those parts from Congress or the public.
also, Maddow's podcast/show did a great breakdown, too https://player.fm/series/1757357/231481494
> Sasha Baron Cohen is the court jester of our times.
In his interview with Marc Maron, SBC goes into deep detail about how he sees himself as a modern day jester or clown, for exactly these reasons.

Nah, he mentioned it on Drink Champs::
>“I took a super L,” Push said about the jingle. “Just upfront, no publishing. Shoutout to [former music executive] Steve Stoute, he gave me the check and I was like ‘Ahhh great.'”
>“I want artists to know that part. Keep your publishing,” he continued. “That check will be nice, but ‘I’m Lovin’ It’ been running for how long now? I did This in ’03. Who knows what it would have been.”
But he does get 40% of the Arby's "We have the meats" jingle:
>“The get back is real. I also own 40 percent of the Arby’s commercial. You live and you learn,” Push said, referring to the slogan “We have the meats” that comes at the end of their most recent commercials.
He did an interview two days ago with the Australian morning show Kyle and Jackie O. It's kinda weird. Talks about killing them and them harassing his wife.
I was sleeping at the time and starting waking while the radio was interviewing this guy that was talking about killing aliens (and of course he had an American accent, made sense). I was super confused about what was going on. Anyways, I completely forgot about it until I just saw this Reddit post.
I just looked it up and it's episode #793, from 26/10/2017. The interview with him starts 51 minutes in.

Look at Julia! Acting like she's an autonomous human being rather than a proper conformity-molded incubator!
These women and their sense of entitlement to their own personhood. Don't they know they're just appliances for men?🚼🛏️
(A good overview of the women as home-appliance thing is found in the You're Wrong About podcast book-club-thing episode where Sarah Marshal studies The Stepford Wives, here. Marshall notes that the premise is not very fictional, only using robots as a substitute for drugging the snot out of women to keep them obedient and compliant.)
Going to plug one of my favorite podcasts You're Wrong About and their most recent episode about this whole saga. Really interesting history and fits into a bigger series they are doing on who complains about cancel culture/political correctness vs. who actually gets cancelled.
The Family Plan is the best - 6 Premium accounts for $15 a month.
6 accounts for $15 or $10 for a single premium account can really add up the savings if more than 1 family member has spotify.
Yeah this isn't news. Embeded podcast had an episode that revealed as much as Omarosa is 'revealing' now. The guy talks about it around min 29 I think.
I am not seeing this on my Neon systems, using the deb file as opposed to a snap or flatpak.
Probably just whatever source you are using is missing the relevant icon file. Not a distro or KDE issue, methinks.
I think he might be accidentally promoting a student bundle he signed up for. Spotify Premium isn't $5, Hulu and Showtime aren't included.
I pay 10 for Spotify and add an additional 3 for Hulu off of a promotion they had a couple months back. No Showtime.
Yes. That's how free software works.
A good example from my own home computer is the Amarok music player. I used to like it, but they stuffed so many features it became unusable for me. Then someone else took an older version of Amarok, from the time it worked well without so much clutter, modernized it and released it under the name Clementine.
Today I use Clementine alone, and love it. Sorry, Amarok guys, you fucked up.
They give a student discount. 50 percent off. If you still have your college email, now is the time to pull it out.

Defrauded - the Duggar podcast - just did a deep dive on Paul and Morgan.
Southern Fried True Crime put out a phenomenal podcast episode about this fire. Well, actually he mentioned it in several of his rare interviews.
"The Team Hell No stuff with Daniel Bryan has probably been the most fun I’ve ever had in WWE." http://www.rackradioshow.com/kane.php
Two weeks ago he was on The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast: "One of the most enjoyable eras was with Daniel Bryan and Team Hell No." https://player.fm/series/two-man-power-trip-of-wrestling/tmptow-kane (at 37:35)
around one week ago The Generation Why Podcast released episode about this disappearance link. Won't believe she left with 15 y/o and they didn't contact anyone, especially her own daughter. After they went missing - whole redecoration, painting the house, burning furnitures (!) and replacing CCTV ... The husband sounds so guilty. Hope he didn't outsmarted the police and LE will find something on him.
If anyone wants to understand this whole area a bit more, and also understand what SARs (Suspicious Activity Reports) are, I’d recommend The Dark Money Files podcast (specifically this episode) but the whole catalog is pretty great to give you a layman’s understanding of the financial world of money laundering.
There is also a student discount (at least for US residents). Register for it to get spotify for 50% off for a year. link
You may feel that you are owed a refund morally and based on your understanding of the terms & conditions you agreed to. I won't speak to the issue morally, but the terms & conditions you agreed to pretty explicitly state that Spotify can advertise to you, even as a premium user;
>7 Rights you grant us >>In consideration for the rights granted to you under the Agreements, you grant us the right... (2) to provide advertising and other information to you
Paying for premium does not exempt you from being advertised to, plain and simple.
I'm just going to leave this shameless piece of self promotion right here.
Edit: if you like our silliness, we do also make jokes while actually playing RPGs. (hobcast.com)
Came here to say this. Since you said it already, my contribution will be to link straight to the episodes:
James O'Keefe was on Hannity's radio show today. He says they set up a shell company out of Belize (all done legally, multiple lawyers on board) and had 8 full-time people infiltrating the operation for a year until they 'trusted them like their brothers'.
Sad news, RIP. Money and success can't buy you happiness. Mental health treatment needs to be promoted alongside this whole awareness kick.
A good podcast interview with her and her husband:
Kate Spade: Kate & Andy Spade by How I Built This with Guy Raz https://player.fm/1nqAdl?t=1070 #nowplaying
Edit: with Anthony Bourdain's death, this has been a hard week. Especially, seeing someone who appeared to confront his personal demons and move onwards and forwards, been very sad, RIP.
I implore everyone to listen to the opening segment of this podcast. It really puts into perspective what would be possible.
It says Joker because it was a Nike ad. He didn't get that nickname until he came to the states, when KSE/Chris Marlowe forced it hard over Will Barton's "Big Honey".
The retroactive history of that nickname is based on an inability to pronounce a soft J, so I'm not sure why Serbians would call him that.

Dr.Rhonda Patrick has been preaching it's benefits for years, one study finding it lowers all cause mortality by up to 40%
Or if anyone is on Android, I really recommend PocketCasts.
The free version is a great podcast app with lots of features (remove silence, variable speed playback, 30s skip, etc.). I listen on my desktop at work and being able to resume podcasts seamlessly from platform to platform works great for like $10/yr.
I believe the problem is simply due to you trying to share one account. What Spotify wants someone to do in your situation is have two separate accounts. And if you want to get the best deal, setup Premium Family.

Let's put this to rest right now. Aaron Flynn (former General Manager of BioWare) explicitly said that it was their choice and that it wasn't forced upon them by EA.
Orignal Source: https://player.fm/series/kotaku-splitscreen/gdc-2018-life-after-bioware-with-aaryn-flynn (audio interview).
V4 plans to send troops to strengthen Libyan borders. People crying over V4 not wanting to help solve the problem are pretty uninformed. No wonder, though. For example if you share this kind of information on this sub, it gets immediately buried with downvotes.
I'm reminded of this interview with Adam Driver.
> Which of the characters that you played... do you feel is the most similar to Adam Driver, the person?" > >“I feel like that character [Kylo] makes sense to me. The family dynamic and desperately wanting family to be part of his life but not getting it. The anxiety and a lot of anger that that creates and that last a lifetime. When we finished that I was like I believe we made that personal.”
Here's why. Because he's a man in a position of power now, because of nothing but a cult of personality.
He's easy to understand, because he's a dumbass. He's trying to hide how uneducated he is about every topic in the world except second wave psychology.
There are tons of other psychology podcasts hosted by people who aren't powerful members in the alt light. https://player.fm/featured/psychology
I can't argue against this point. While it is interesting, I fear that his ability to misunderstand anything outside of his narrow field makes such discussions pointless. But I won't dare paint everyone who associates with Peterson as an idiot.
YTA
She confided in you. Telling your brother is a way to express to your SIL that you’re not trustworthy and don’t value your relationship.
Moreover, there’s nothing morally wrong with being a prostitute. The podcast Criminal recently did an episode interviewing prostitutes if you want a better understanding of why educated women, who are mentally sane and capable of many things, CHOOSE to go into prostitution.
We've actually done some tests on the algorithm in the past.
In reality, the algorithm is pretty good. The issue is how it responds to user input. Pretty much anything other than forward skipping will reset the shuffle so that you can hear the exact same songs that you just heard. Clicking onto another playlist, skipping backwards, or clicking any track on a currently playing playlist will all cause the shuffle to be reset. This should not be the case, and I suspect it's why there is such a discrepancy between Spotify's shuffle tests and user tests.
I would suggest that users write in their feedback on this issue and ask for the shuffle seed to remain persistent throughout these activities.
At the bottom: "create an account using your e-mail address". I think that should work for you, it's tiny text and isn't outlined at all, but it should be the way.
The My Favorite Murder podcast is my jam right now. It's like sitting on a couch, drinking wine with your BFFs (or aunties if you're part of Gen Z) while they gossip about how fucked up the 1970s were because it seems like every other mass murder happened then.

Sam should really talk to more anarchists, socialists and communists, instead of constantly regurgitating the same tired points of the right every single podcast.
For instance, Mark Bray would make a great guest.
Well, you are in luck, because there are a whole lot of kinky black people and kink organizations for black people.
Onyx is probably the most well known national organization for kinky Black men.
Onyx Pearls is their sister group for Black women.
The Carter Johnson Leather Library was founded and run by People of Color.
There is even an entire BDSM conference devoted to kinky POC. The Journey! conference, they plan to host again in 2021 but they are still working on the logistics due to COVID.
There are groups and clubs that are POC exclusive, that provide a safe space for you. Because you live in a big city it's very likely that you will have one near you. My advice would be to see if you have an Onyx or Onyx pearls chapter near you. You might also want to reach out to the Leather Houses of Color Coalition. They will probably know who you can contact in your city to find the resources you need.
You are not alone, there are many black people in the BDSM community. People who have had to deal with the same issues and discrimination you have faced. You have a lot of role models and history that you can be proud to be a part of.
As a side note, if you have the time. I would recommend listening to Daddy Zulu's BLACK to Leather podcast. He interviews some of the best known Black and POC members of our community. Especially the episodes where he interviews Mama Vi and Mister Blue and BlueFrost.
I currently use Pocketcasts, it is multi-platform but that now costs $10USD a year (I am grandfathered in from before they went to a sub model). It works well and does the job. People have a few gripes (e.g no folders for organizing, they want you to use filters. but it does the job). /r/pocketcasts
There is another multi-platform app which I may swap to (I have an account and it's loaded with a load of my subs but I've not made the full jump across yet) Podurama. They are still showing this on their main page "Early users get lifetime free data sync on unlimited mobile and desktop devices" so I presume it is still applicable. /r/Podurama
There are lots of others out there, but those are the two I have used with any sort of regularity.
dat student discount tho. I was convinced after using it with ads for a few weeks and then found out about the student discount I got that shit immediately. delicious 320kbps.
If you want to check out a decent interview with him: https://player.fm/series/the-big-interview-with-graham-hunter-1000063/the-big-interview-with-darren-fletcher
He sounds like a smart guy.
Michael Marshall recently interviewed a race realist on his podcast ‘be reasonable’.
It’s episode 057.
It’s basically someone who wants to distance the self from the negative connotations of the term racist and presents all the white nationalism/ white supremacy arguments in addition to the standard disarming ‘I’m not racist because I also think Asian’s are smart and I have a black friend’ caveats.

Due to the volume of posts before I caught this, I'm going to allow this topic to stay. However, we have already had many posts regarding this. Spotify gradually rolls out its updates so many users have had the new color for a while.
The color is part of their new branding and is unlikely to change. However, you can leave your feedback directly to Spotify via email or twitter.
> idk if I'm gonna take his wording very seriously on this one
He's 100% correct about this one at least, if you want to listen to the actual audio of the podcast, here's a link cued up to this discussion.
God Awful Movies just did this one last Tuesday.
The take away was this: It's depiction of abortion is so over the top that if it weren't made specifically to scare children away from seeking healthcare it would be hilarious. The fact that it's a movie made to scare children from seeking healthcare is the true horror.
Also Abby Johnson is a liar.
I hate when people refer him as a "great offensive player." It is a back handed compliment. Why not refer him as a "great player" who excels at offense? It is like when people refer to Peyton Manning as the "greatest regular season qb of all time" it is a way to throw him a compliment with a hidden insult in it implying his post season sucks.
The first 20 minutes of this podcast are all about the Suns vs Mavs and both of the hosts spend more time insulting booker how he needs to get better on defense while they barely mentioned Luka or DSJ in particular (because they had him number 1 in the 2018 draft board, and number 2 in the 2017 draft board respectively). Kept saying Booker had a "great offensive night." Why not say he had a great night all things considered?
Except there's a difference between borrowing money for infrastructure and borrowing money to create new programs or expand existing programs.
If I borrow $1B to build a bridge, that bridge will be around for 25 years, and I only need to spend a little (compared to what it cost to build it) every few years to maintain it.
If I borrow $1B to run a program, the only way that program continues for 25 years is if I fund it for 25 years.
This is why economists usually say that it's good to run deficits to build infrastructure, but not good to run deficits to run programs.
That being said, there is certainly something to be said for programs that will create a good economic ROI. The Quebec daycare plan that the NDP plan is based off showed really good ROI for the economy there, which means that they are recuperating some of the costs of the program.
It's certainly possible to borrow money for a program and have that program eventually pay for itself.
I would highly recommend listing to the Canadaland Commons episode of debts and deficits, as it really goes into this concept far more than I did here.
EDIT: removed an extra word.

When it comes to the "paranormal" people won't be convinced period I've learned. As a skeptic (sometimes I want to call myself a former one) I've had experiences as a paranormal investigator that have made me seriously question materialistic science. Not saying it's wrong on things, but when it comes to spiritual experience I think it lacks the ability to analyze it.
Bit of a background on myself, I'm an agnostic atheist. Haven't always been like that, but evangelical Christianity put a bad taste in my mouth. Can't believe in God, but the paranormal is a separate subject entirely. My experiences in the paranormal have lead me to look deeper into the sciences behind it... doesn't seem so pseudo to me honestly.
I'd like to direct those interested to this episode of Astonishing Legends. No, I'm not affiliated with them, but this episode really got me thinking about things I had already considered before, it just gave me more food for thought. If the "paranormal" (as we call it) is real, then there must be some kind of scientific explanation. If "telekinesis" is real, there must be some kind of scientific explanation. If any of this is real, then why not astral projection?
There's a lot of shit science doesn't understand. If the brain is an "electrical computer" as materialists like to describe it, why wouldn't it be able to manipulate magnetic fields? Not talking Michael Bay explosions and shit, but enough to levitate something or even have an OBE?
Anyways, just some random thoughts I had. Sorry if this was long-winded, should've probably just created a separate post lol.
Pizzagate wasn't about a single pizzeria that's a red herring, it was about the prevalence of child porn-(CP)-cheese pizza and high up people engaged in child abuse. Jeffrey Epstein, lolita express.
9/11 truthers aren't saying necessarily that bush was responsible. (Operation Northwoods, gulf of tonken, USS Liberty.) But merely that the circumstances around 9/11 are fucked beyond comprehension. (Undamaged passports in the rubble used to identify pilots. Pentagon plane reduced to fragments and taken away by hand. Freefall speed. Building 7. We invaded Iraq/Afghanistan over the actions of Saudi funded Saudi led terrorists and then covered up Saudi involvement. The fact that the countries that were invaded coincide with the oil pipelines proposed to get crude from the Gulf into the Mediterranean while ignoring the culprits. Bush did 9/11 or steel beams are memes. The actual events were not, and have had profound repercussions ( patriot act / 60 words ) that have allowed the USA to engage in endless wars in the middle East without once requiring Congress to vote on it. All the military action has been done through executive action. Drone strikes to full scale invasions. 9/11 could have been an inside job, or not, but the results were clearly orchestrated to take advantage of the chaos as a ladder to secure more power onto fewer hands. And of you question that transfer of power you must be a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist. I'm so done with society.
Rev Left is probably the best left-wing podcast I've heard besides Chapo. Their recent episode on Ho Chi Minh was a really interesting perspective on the Vietnam War.
Lets remain hopeful and patient about the Russian Orthodox.... remember how they passed through the trauma of Communism - The Soviet Union was the first state to have elimination of religion as an ideological objective but ultimately it failed, so the Russian Orthodox have their own heroes and martyrs https://www.buzzsprout.com/1226960/7409515-jan-20-communist-russia-christianity.mp3?download=true
Oh man, it went off the rails months ago and then it just went over the cliff when he did his set at the Comedy Cellar. The Comedy Cellar podcast with Ms. Bari Weiss of the NY Times and comedian Veronica Mosey is must-hear for people frustrated by the false narratives, because these two ladies bring the hammer down hard in a good way. The false narratives are broken down pretty fiercely throughout the course of it. In other words, you have an hour+ of sweet catharsis waiting for you: https://player.fm/series/the-comedy-cellar-live-from-the-table-131033/bari-weiss-sean-donnelly-and-veronica-mosey
Listen to the Hoop Collective podcast with KD and Beasley together, talking about how they came up together as chiodhood friends and teammates.
For me, the comparison hung in the air the whole time: Beasley with every bit the talent and physical gift that KD got, but apparently only a fraction of the work ethic and determination.
Which is not necessarily something to harp on too hard. It sounded like he never had anyone to guide him as much as KD's mom did.
And, even if he has grossly underachieved, relative to his basketball potential, he has earned $30M in his career so far. He's not even 30. So it's pretty silly to call him a failure, unless he ends up squandering his fortune.
