Worked with leather my whole life and the "grades" you've referenced are probably the biggest myth perpetrated on consumers in my industry. The tannery where a leather is made has much more to do with quality than "full grain or top grain"...and Genuine is used by some quality manufacturers (Red Wing Heritage is one) to describe really good "full grain leather" and you can also buy really junky full grain, if you're not careful.
Here is a list of all the new 262 potentially habitable exoplanets. #1 is 97% similar to Earth!
Piece of shit. He didn't even understand survival rates. Dude was getting his news from a site hosted on WordPress.com. I can't believe how much they believe BS that they see on FaceBook. My mother tried to tell me that this random gynecologist with no virology training and no background in vaccine development was qualified to speak out against the vaccine because it "rewrites your DNA" simply because she saw it online. "How else would she be able to get this info online if it weren't true?!?!" That's seriously her justification.
I'm a web developer. I could literally put anything online if I wanted to. Speaking of.....I may have to eventually add my fucking parents to the subreddit.
I've made a torrent available Hopefully that will reduce the website load ...

Thank you for posting the most vague, unverified and unsourced claim imaginable.
Let's take a look at just how vague this comment is:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that "studied the bugs in fallout 3 and wrote down everything badly coded" is the only thing you're actually certain of. How is this considered constructive commenting, deserving of upvotes?
Even if it is true, do some damn research. By googling some of the key words in your post, I was able to find what you're likely referring to. This isn't the initial source of the quote, but anything I found referencing this is basically the same quoted post that's circulated around gaming forums.
I don't see anything about it being a big American university (though he mentions that he bought 320 copies for the entire department), but otherwise, most of the stuff you said appears to be at least partially correct. Still, I couldn't find this claim on any real reputable outlet. While the errors he points out seem to be relevant, there's was no actual "study" done, just a weekend assignment.
I almost can't blame the other reply to this that has been downvoted into oblivion for its sentiments. At least a shitty vague link like the one I posted above would have added some legitimacy to your post to make it worthy of discussion.
My high school choir went to Armenia and actually sang inside this monastery. It was awesome.

An Explanation and fix for non-saving Gameboy Games:
Inside the Gameboy Cartridge, there is a small watch battery (CR2025) used to store data. The battery runs constantly as a a way to store save data. Once this battery is dead, all save data is deleted and new save data cannot be written.
Fixing this problem is relatively simple. All that you really need is a pair of needle nose pliers/a small screw driver and a new watch battery (I used a CR2032 as it lasts longer), and a soldering iron.
You remove the screw on the back of the cartridge, (using your desired tool, a 3.5 security bit is the most efficient, but pliers get the job done)
With the casing gone, all you need to do is unsolder the battery and solder on the new one.

I completed this task at around the age of 12, so it can't be too hard.
You're more than welcome, as always. I just had the time to kill right then and thought it would be better to get it all out they way then rather than over the course of a few days of back and forth comment replies :)
For the techs interested, it was nothing that a cocktail of Combofix and MalwareBytes couldn't sort. Also did a little bit of software updating and Autoruns tuning while the scan was going.
While I'm here, I'll take the opportunity to whore out my Google site: TheFixList. It's already been up in /r/computertechs, /r/sysadmin and /r/techprotips but I don't think I put it here.
It's nice to help others, y'know? :)
I baked this cake! I adapted the recipe from here -
https://sites.google.com/site/sprinkleprints/peanut-butter-cup-chocolate-cake-cheesecake.
In this particular cake, I left out the caramel and peanut layer, but I've made it again with it, and it's awesome. Instead of the caramel, I made a peanut butter filling with - 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup shortening, about 2 cups powdered sugar, and then I beat it all up with enough peanut butter until I was happy with it. I also used made a ganache in the middle using just equal parts heavy cream and dark chocolate, and then used the ganache to frost it as well.
Why are you assuming it's a new Porsche? You can get a very well-maintained boxster for 15-20K, easily. You don't even have to "look very hard" to find them. link
Just finished this off in the last few days. Have a few more shots to do and patterns to practice with, etc, but so far I'm very happy with it :)
It's capable of writing text and images 2m tall. Input is either raw text (then drawn with the TrueType font of your choice) or a GIF image up to 64 pixels tall and pretty much as long as you like.
Colour space is a little limited, 7 colours max (RGB each full on or off), but there's a script to parse GIF files down to the closest available colours automatically.

Would it impact server chunk generation? Because on a new map, this is currently the biggest source of block lag, as the CPU is scrambling to generate more map for dozens of players going in different directions. Using a tool like Minecraft Land Generator (before starting the server and opening it up) helps quite a lot, but because vanilla Minecraft doesn’t have any border feature, you can never be sure that players won’t expand beyond your pregenerated area.
Whoa, and here's an interesting site on it. While part of me is upset this isn't an original idea, most of me is overjoyed that it's actually been given some serious thought. Thanks for the name!

MCT, AFAIK, was proposed to the Curiosity team but not used for lack of time.
Herp derp. Batteries are dangerous because I don't understand them!
Seriously, this thread and the previous thread I had to link to my electric vehicle forum so everyone could laugh at the amount of FUD in it.
I'm all for being cautious. You should see the primer I wrote for using lipo in electric vehicles on my website. Lots of pictures of fires. It's the amount of misinformation that gets me. The guy in the other thread (that claimed to work in a lithium ion research lab) said something to the effect that the lithium in batteries will burst into flames in water, which is not true. The lithium in batteries is non-reactive in water. Which is a common misconception because normally lithium IS VERY reactive in water. Yet, he is stating it like a fact, incorrectly, and everyone believes him.
Back to venting the gasses in a lipo cell though. YES, it can be done. All it means is the cell will just have less capacity. I wouldn't recommend it though for anything that isn't worth the risk though. A RC plane? sure go for it. If it burns up, it's outside and only worth a little. I'd never do it on one of my ebikes, or consumer devices though. That is retarded. I was merely trying to get people to realize that the amount of FUD in these threads are getting out of hand. OMG A PUFFER. WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE.
TL;DR modern lithium is much safer than the fire prone stuff from 10 years ago. I've driven a nail through one of mine, and it didn't even smoke.
Instead of posting your daily depressed musings, have you considered starting a blog, or an emo band?
Your constant calls for help ignore all the help this sub has tried to provide.
This is perfectly normal. Most webshops in Belgium are absolute shit. And many companies don't have an actual shop, just a website. At the start of the first lockdown I got into an argument with a bicycle shop owner who complained about being closed (fair enough) after I had said that if in 2020 you don't have a webshop, your business probably deserves to die.
Yes it was perhaps not a nice thing to say, but there is really no excuse. I have a side business and it took me 2 evening to fabricate a decent webpage on wordpress.com for an extremely low amount per year. It really isn't difficult.
Yet so many people flat out refuse. I've been on 1 website to buy steel, where I had to send a mail to paper catalogue without prices, and then they would make me a quote. Meanwhile there were Dutch websites where every size of every type is available with a shopping basket system, online chat, and a whatsapp chat. Google anything in dutch 'X... kopen' and you will find tons of Dutch shops and almost no Belgian ones.
Any Belgian company who wants my business should have a webshop, or I will ignore them.
You realize that they both work for Comedy Central, which is owned by Viacom... a SOPA supporter. I believe that Stewart and Colbert are opposed, but they really don't have the power to say anything. Way too much going on. I cant really focus on anything. And after scrolling through it all, I still don't have a clue what it is all about.
If Boxxy were to design a website, this would be it.

Also, That's fucking great! A TS inspired fps. Gonna check this shit out now!
EDIT: Wow. That's fucking rad. I utterly support your dream of bringing back the overtop HOLY SHIT! games of yesteryear. I cut my addiction teeth with Quake 2 [AQ2, specifically] and Q3Arena. The UT series was an old love too.

Well, the link to her research acknowledges both the professor and the grad student who helped her in her research. From the professor's bio site it looks like she's interested in mentoring younger people so her grad students probably go into it knowing they're going to be assisting in some way. It looks like the awards that Shree and Savitha received over lap a bit so there was probably more than enough work to go around.
As soon as your place is set up and decorated the way you want (You can visit other venues for ideas), there really isn't that much else to do.
It's heavily recommended to set up a menu/website for your place, almost every place uses https://carrd.co/ to do so. You could also just have a macro that /tell your menu to the person, but it's rather annoying as a customer to have to try and digest it that way, especially if the menu is long IMO.
When it comes to selling items you can be as creative or as standard as you want. Check out the cooking crafting log. Look at the menus of other venues. Try to figure out something that works for your own venue. If it's a smaller venue then getting about 40-50 of each food item you want to sell should keep you stocked for a decent amount of time. If you're able to, crafting the items yourself HQ so that it has your signature on it can make your place seem higher quality overall. Not everyone notices, but some do, so it's worth it if you have CUL levelled.
In terms of wages it's really whatever you want to do with it. I know some places where it's just groups of friends who don't really care about getting paid, in other places it's a base payment + tips, and in other places it's just a straight up split of whatever revenue was made that night. Keep in mind that unless your business is somehow extremely profitable with a constant stream of customers and lots of big tippers, you're very likely to be taking a loss each night if you pay your staff (depending on how payment is done). However you do it, as long as you and all of your staff are on the same page and happy with it, then it's fine.
Really the only kind of RP places that make serious money is ERP brothels and such where they charge a couple hundred thousand per session. Apart from that RP is a pretty horrible way to make consistent money.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the blogs of the NYT, CNN, Forbes, Reuters, GM, UPS, eBay, SONY, Best Buy, Rolling Stones, TC, AllThingsD, Mashable, etc. are part of a botnet.
When you get to this scale, it's usually significantly cheaper to run your own servers rather than running on something like AWS. Infact my company even just switched from managed leased boxes to our own hardware. Despite the hassle, it's cheaper and gives us more control.

Jekyll is a static cms, meaning once you did the html template, you simply add pages with some header configuration to generate a blog.
Biggest upside IMHO is that you can host your blog for free on github pages.
It's a free cms, that comes with free hosting so you only might need a domain if you don't want a something.github domain. And it's pretty simple to develop locally and push to github when ready.
No actual coding required, only yaml configuration files.
as someone who is working on a l4d2 campaign with a voice actor, having all the lines in 1 take must be a pain in the ass XD
I love my actor though, he is amazing, and you kinda enjoy working with people into making your own projects good.
Shameless promoting my L4D2 campaign
These strange Northern hemisphere climate anomalies of late have been fascinating, albeit devastating to some. It appears that massive changes are taking place in the Arctic and circumpolar atmospheric circulation patterns, and is likely (in my opinion, strongly) coupled to the huge changes in Arctic sea ice we saw this year. There's too much heat close to the North pole for the usual pressure cells to form, meaning that weather patterns become wildly unpredictable.
For those uneducated in Arctic sea ice, this is a fantastic source for looking at data and long term trends.
In particular, this graph is worrying - it's a plot of sea ice volume measured by satellite data since 1979. The best climate models out there do not predict sea ice collapse within the next 20 years, however you can see that the models are being vastly outstripped by reality. I would personally be surprised if we have ice left in the next 5 years.

Not normally possible, is it? The calculator comes up with SL712 but I think that is where it tops out.
From what I understand, invaders get 10% of the souls the Master of the world needs to level when they win.
You gained 2,309,854 souls (10% of 23,098,540)
SL712 to SL713* requires 8,879,350 souls.
Does the Silver Serpent ring/Symbol of Avarice also increase the number of souls won from invading?
^*only ^possible ^on ^sorcerer
Unfortunately, I don't think this is proposed. This appears to be a concept done by an artist at First Cultural. I wish the US would adopt a high speed rail line, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
*edit - Wikipedia doesn't make me any more hopeful
I’m still working on a post for this particular MLM/Hun, every time I dive into it there’s so much more batshit. I have a few posts about my experience with a hun, (recruitment was attempted but failed spectacularly), and some more about MLM’s, Life Coaches, Huns, there’s a lot of scams going on. If you want read them, the link is here….. https://wordpress.com/view/tothewednesdayborn.wordpress.com
It's from the construction of the Palm Islands in Dubai. Here's an article on the construction process.
That bike has no suspension. There needs to be suspension for it to ride comfortably and safely at higher speeds. There are already some proto-type hub motors with suspension built into them. This frees up space on the frame for batteries. -> https://www.google.com/search?q=active+wheel
Additionally, water cooling would allow an electric motor to be pushed harder and faster while remaining rather small. Much better than ghetto air cooling like I do on my bikes. --> https://sites.google.com/site/shelbyelectro/motors/mods/ventilating-a-hub-motor
I think crystaylte has a hub motor with 3 speeds. This is important since hub motors are limited to the speed that the wheel itself turns. So if the motor is in a slow and inefficient zone, like when climbing a hill, it would be awesome for it to be able to shift.
TL;DR lots of exciting advances to be made in electric hub motors. Unfortunately, the chinese market is slow at making tech advances. It's understandable considering the leap between an almost stone age primitive dc motor attached to a wheel and cramming suspension, cooling, gearing, AND a motor inside a wheel.
Got a dozen domains at Gandi. They're inexpensive, they respond to support requests very quickly, and in ten years they've never fucked me over. I'm a fan.
(Plus, they support DNSSEC and if you're using Cloudflare for authoritative DNS, turning DNSSEC on takes all of five seconds.)
I'm not sure if you have seen my Voxel article/information site, and maybe you might have got to a point where you have surpassed the knowledge that I have shared there... but it is always worth passing on the link to you in the chance that you might glean some knowledge from it:
You just reminded me that I really need to get around to updating my water page and also filling in a few of the other TODOs on that site....
Also do you know about: /r/VoxelGameDev ?
Start documenting it all and posting it on blast either on IG or a website (or both). In the past I had a previous free wordpress.com site that I used to document all the trash issues in my former uptown neighborhood. I'd email links to my councilperson and CC lots of Tulane admins as well. It ended up getting attention and some of the issues at the time did get resolved.

I'm the builder and surprised by the interest in this project. First, I'll say that building a free-standing wall is potentially dangerous and I'm not advocating that anyone do so. Metolius has some great instructions on their website for building walls that tie into existing structures. That being said, here a few responses to your comments / questions:
The lack of small holds (esp. feet) is because the wall is designed for barefoot climbing. I find that the hassle of putting shoes on limits me from doing a quick climb.
It's actually a large living room and the dimensions of the wall are 14 x 14 x 8
I agree that you could get away with using a quarter as many holds, but (1) I already had them and (2) it allowed me to get more climbing out of the space I had. If you look close you'll see clusters of pocket overlaying clusters of slopers, overlaying clusters of pinches, etc.
there are some crimps on the vertical plane, but for the overhanging section I think larger holds for pinching and open-handed gripping are best. Maybe if I was stronger...
I also thought of doing a modular design and even made some scale models. I realized, however, that even 4x8 modules wouldn't really be easy to move around. This structure is screwed and bolted together and will be disassembled when we move. The paint job will make that much harder than it would have been otherwise.
Graphics are the interface between a player and the gameworld. I find it strange that people are always so insistent that graphics don't matter considering how important a function that plays.
I'm fully aware that graphics do not make a game, and that a good game doesn't need amazing graphics. But graphics are always important.
I mean, I'm a big fan of roguelikes, and almost always play with ASCII graphics rather than tiles. But even in this case, compare Nethack to Brogue. Brogue is quite literally beautiful compared to Nethack, despite them both using ASCII graphics.
For anyone curious about Brogues graphics, you really have to see them in play to understand why they're so good. As a complete side note, it's also the most approachable and easy to pick up roguelike I've ever played, that still manages to have a ton of depth.
This guy makes the glasses.
This is his website.
The picture is one he took to show me what the glasses looked like before shipping them to me. I couldn't take a better one, though I wanted a pic of them filled with beer. Either way, they're fucking awesome, and he can etch quite a wide variety of stuff onto glasses.
I know Reddit likes to support their own. I did, and I don't regret it at all. The dude is prompt and professional. If you want customized geeky cylindrical alcohol vessels, he's the guy to talk to.
It is not uncommon for larger companies to monitor these lists to see if any of their customers are affected.
I would guess that it is probably legit, but as others have said, don't click the link - go directly to https://wordpress.com/ and check it out for yourself.
And then go to https://haveibeenpwned.com and see if there has been a recent breach affecting you - it may be time to change some passwords.
I wrote a pretty feature-full network services monitoring utility in one large bash script (62 Kilo-bytes).
It's very efficient, multi-process as needed, low-resource usage, incredibly simple to configure and deploy. It provides extensive logging, schedules, e-mail or paging alerts, an (ugly but light and functional) web and command-line interface for control. It can monitor system uptime, network services like SMTP, POP, IMAP, WWW, DNS, RPC, NIS, NFS, SMB, SNMP, anything you like. If you can write a simple command that tests a service, it can be plugged in the configuration in seconds.
It also has very simple requirements: date, find, cat, awk, cut, wc, tail, mv, rm, grep, sleep, od, tr, touch, hostname, basename, sed and sort. Optionally: ping, telnet, openssl, host or nslookup, rpcinfo, showmount, snmpget, uptime, df. An optional status push-daemon can also be used if the remote client has a C compiler.
All this was a reaction to NetSaint's incredibly moronic configuration at the time.
I've got it running at an old employer of mine, monitoring 2000+ services very smoothly. It's so simple to use that regular help-desk employees configure it as needed.
There isn't always need to go to higher-level languages.
I read this story somewhere (I can't find it now) about a guy who [REDACTED](just go read it, its like three pages) I won't spoil it here, but it seems similar.
Edit: Found it.
The thing is that video games are physically addicting. Not just "addicting" like people throw around a lot when describing television shows or their favorite foods. Leveling in WoW stimulates a huge dump of neurotransmitters. Basically you feel awesome. An intense and challenging fight in a FPS rocks your nerves with waves of adrenaline. Hell yeah it's addicting. Once you break the cycle, it's not as rewarding to play. It has to get it's hooks back in you. And I wonder, how many people blizzard has who have studied substance abuse and psychology because that's pretty much the goal of MMORPGs; to get their hooks into you.
Worse, I'd assume, like all things, a tolerance develops. I've done stints of non-stop, 14 hour days of gaming for weeks. By the end, I'm barely enjoying myself, I actually am playing worse than when I first started, and I walk around in a daze all the time. Maybe I just have addicting personality though.
Yeah. Video games are a huge part of my life, but honestly I have newer, better hobbies now. Oh yeah, and girls :D
So, I support adults with Developmental Disabilities. Part of the training I recieved was this thing called Reflective Listening. I'd read through the document. While it is specific to adults with DD, it works with everyone. Just, don't follow the script because it can be insulting to people who are higher functioning that my clients. I learned that one the hard way.
I'd focus on the bad ideas section, since I've found that the most useful. The entire series is worth a skim, but this module is the most relevant.
Pretty much, you acknowledge that you hear what she is saying, validate what she is feeling, and show that you care. I'd take a look at the workbook sections and replace them with things she has said or might say in the future.
Your feelings about your dad certainly have a place in your relationship, but not when she is expressing her grief.
https://wordpress.com/post/mymessedupmind.blog/1220 I basically talk about how to organise better and stop procrastination even though I don't know how to organise or stop procrastinating myself and can't even take my own advice but enjoy anyway lol!
The enemies where annoying. There was no vertical change. Floor and roof were always at the same height. The colors where pretty bland and uninteresting. The world felt dead, not sure if it was your intentions. Having to wait and hope I don't get killed by the explosions was a bit annoying.
I also felt that running was very hard, like a bit heavy. And shooting was slow and meaningless with no recoil. It didn't feel powerful.
To be honest I would not have played it again.
Might or not help, but I do a bit of level design/mapping in the source engine.
Das Theme ist Coraline, es ist retired. Vermutlich hat sich das jemand unter den Nagel gerissen und macht jetzt Kohle mit den alten Seiten, die nicht auf ein aktuelles Theme umsteigen.
Hello S1mpel!
A warehouse management software is only one step... soon you want not only to know where your stock items are, but the value of the stock, manage stock moves, manage supplier invoices, shippings, customer invoices, ...
I don't know your specific business case of course, but have you considered doing one more step and moving to a full-blown ERP system? Of course, you start by using only the Inventory Management module at the beginning.
My recommandation would be to start looking at open source ERPs like Odoo - but there are many others on the market -, possibly check a few video tutorials on the tool to get an idea of its capabilities, and check with your colleagues if your company would be interested in investigating some time/money to implement such a solution.
I'm a huuge fan of brogue, cause it's easier to get into but still feels more tactical than most roguelikes I've played, and theres always dungeons of dredmor if you want something newer
I landed a remote opportunity a few years ago. I landed it because I released a VERY popular plugin for wordpress. It was a massive plugin with 150k+ downloads. I had been doing that for 3 years by then. Not professionally but part time. I landed an interview with Automattic (WordPress' parent company).
You don't always need to have that. You just have to demonstrate very strong written communication skills. You have to over communicate. And clearly. Without spelling and grammar mistakes. You'd be rejected even before you know it if you don't have these.
Added is the emphasis on being reachable when remote. The company sees if you are reachable when you need them. I had a sort of a trial by fire period where I actually worked on wordpress.com to add a feature. They paid me for it. You have to monitor communication channels and make yourself available to be reached. Over communicate. Commits should say everything about why you did what you did - even if the commits messages have to be longer and take more time than the change itself.
I was very proud to have cleared the interview but....The CEO behaved like a dick and a bit racist to me so I declined. But that's another story.
Here is a gallery of the current images: 2012.12.31. It is organized into a chart and grouped by size.
https://sites.google.com/site/redditbrasizes
I know this could cause issues for some, so I've tried to be as as accommodating as possible. The site is not searchable, you must have the URL. All of the images link to the original image. I have not copied any of the images. This means that if you wish to remove the original, you may do so. I have not included any names. If people don't like grouping them like this, I am more than happy to take the whole thing down.
I have looked into making it editable by anyone, but I don't see a way to do that.
Updated 2012.01.02 with rawr88's submission.
It's blocked at a lot of workspaces, but I can actually give you a workaround for that. if you replace the following part of the web address in this example: "http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/barbarian" with this instead: "https://sites.google.com/site/pathfinderogc/classes/core-classes/barbarian" then you can access it at most workplaces. Just to reiterate, you change it to "https" instead of "http", and then change "www.d20pfsrd.com" to "sites.google.com/site/pathfinderogc".
> when it was fast before in the snapshots
That’s not actually true… terrain generation can lag the hell out of any server, and in the most recent snapshot, it’s unbearable. You can use tools like MLG to make it go away, but it’s still far from perfect. I’m talking about tests on SSD drive, i7 and 16GB of memory. I love that Dinnerbone is working on making 1.3 SMP fast.
>Maybe she needs some bad act on his part to give her some claim of moral superiority?
Bingo.
Examining Women's Fantasies: Why Do They Love Bad Men?
"One of the most interesting reasons women find bad boys attractive is because of the psychological manipulation it allows her over him, at least, theoretically. In the typical plot of a female romance novel, the bad man meets the good woman, is instantly attracted to her, seduces her into a relationship, then does a Big Bad Thing which makes her end the relationship. He then has to change his behavior and work all the harder to get her back until she accepts and they live happily ever after."
"Although we may at first be inclined to view these events in a positive way, largely because it is about a man changing himself for a woman and not the other way around, what we're really seeing is emotional abuse. After the man does the Big Bad Thing, the woman thereafter gets to use it whenever she wants as a tool for manipulation. Not only that but she will use his past bad behavior to belittle him and get him to do what she wants. The story ends with her having full control of the relationship, with him ready to do anything she asks for and with him placing her on a pedestal for the rest of their lives."
"...But there is an added aspect which is solely particular to women which is that they can capitalize on martyrdom, hence the man must do something horrible, whether it was well and truly raping her in a way that wasn't pleasurable at all or saying something that hurt her. Our reaction to women hurting is to want to eliminate it as much as possible, and so these female characters in our minds have full ability to demand anything they want from the man who did her wrong, as well that he must do everything he can to make up for it."
No reason to code your portfolio when Webflow can do everything you need. Anyways, you don’t need a flashy portfolio as a UX Designer. I switched over from Square and Wix because of my frustrations with how limited they are.
And you’re correct about the last part. Pay for the cheapest plan and add your domain on.
Check out this website clone of Apple’s IPad page that someone created through webflow here
Oh boy.
They're loading two different versions of jQuery (2.1.4 and 1.11.1). I'm tempted to email them and suggest loading at least four versions of jQuery. Two just doesn't suffice in this Web 2.0 era.
All the images are loading from uploads.webflow.com. Going to https://webflow.com/ brings up some completely different CMS thing. Seems legit.
They wrote "it's" instead of "its" and the font for their "learn about micro-apps" link is way too thin and looks ugly. You think with $31 million they could afford to check their grammar and use proper fonts. The fonts seem fine on retina screens, so thankfully the 5% of the world that use Apple hardware and no external screen will be able to read the text fine.
tl;dr: wat.
In case you're curious about the ANN, here's the project's page describing the details (with slides).
I'm impressed!
"Upon suffering beyond suffering: the Red Nation shall rise again and it shall be a blessing for a sick world. A world filled with broken promises, selfishness and separations. A world longing for light again. I see a time of Seven Generations when all the colors of mankind will gather under the Sacred Tree of Life and the whole Earth will become one circle again. In that day, there will be those among the Lakota who will carry knowledge and understanding of unity among all living things and the young white ones will come to those of my people and ask for this wisdom. I salute the light within your eyes where the whole Universe dwells. For when you are at that center within you and I am that place within me, we shall be one."

A few inaccuracies... when you have a Business plan with wordpress.com you can install any theme you like, can install most plugins too. The minimum plan to use your own domain name is the Personal plan, which does not cost $70
Wordpress.com has a free hosting tier. You can upgrade plans later or, since it uses the WordPress platform, if you ever wanted to migrate to your own hosting it's super easy.
The free tier does have its limits (3gb storage (you could always hotlink), need to use wordpress subdomain) but I think it's worth trying out so you're not having to spend any money upfront and have upgrade/migration options in the future.
Ghost is decent, like people have said, but there's also Hugo. I played with it once, but I'm not a huge blogger so it didn't make much sense to keep messing with it.
Edit: Never mind, can't really do the mobile thing. :P
I.. uhm.. I think you need to think in code, feel the code, express yourself with the code. Programming isn't about doing some homeworks, it's more about communicating your thoughts to the computer and other programmers. I know your focus is those lame homeworks right now, but never let school get in the way of your learning!
Often, your programming thoughts themselves will be ill-formed. Like, you thought something, go to program and find out your thoughts about a process were wrong. It might happen that you won't know for sure that something is possible (and that it will work like you expected) until you program it.
It's likely that you won't ever fully understand your own programs either, because most programs are too complex to be understood all at once. That's what bugs are made of, misunderstandings on how your program works. Programming by then is mostly managing the complexity of increasingly large programs. (dividing programs in "functions" is one such tool - it is an ability required by this exercise, even though it may seem pointless in that contrived example)
I will lay some points
You need to learn C. Seriously. Arduino code is technically C++, but C would mostly work and you won't be using fancy C++ things anyway. Also, professional code would be done mostly in C. So, learn C.
The best book to learn C is K&R. It's very small and very clearly written.
I don't have an Arduino resource, because my professor wanted us to target the Atmega microcontrollers and not the high-level Arduino libraries. I read this avr guide and the datasheets (that guide has basically all the important tables from the datasheet, but is easier to understand). You probably should look for Arduino tutorials and documentation.
Your family is nuts and you owe it to yourself to find a good therapist you click with, when you can, to sort this out and help you navigate this.
Boundary setting skills will be useful while you find a professional who can help, would be a very good thing. Major boundaries need to be set, for sure, probably focused on your dad. The setting and maintaining boundaries might have some basics that could help as a stopgate until you get a trained person involved.
Looks good but I wouldn't put too much stock in the artists' rendered designs. they never turn out looking as good.
I live right beside the new Walmart at Baseline and Clyde. this is what they were saying it would look like:

gandi.net is a good registrar and host if you are looking for a registrar that takes privacy seriously. https://www.gandi.net/static/pdf/en/Privacy_Policy_US_V1.0.pdf
Zoho is a mail host that also prides themselves for their privacy policy. https://www.zoho.com/privacy.html
They are no lavabit but for 'for profit companies' their privacy policy is pretty good.
I'm the guy who made the original, and I feel obliged to explain my interpretation THC's effects, as I've seen quite a few people disagree with the last part.
While it is known that cannabinoid receptors mediate the inhibition of GABA release, i.e., depolarization-induced suppression of inhibition, my statement which qualifies how this affects thought processes is speculative. However, I'm in the midst of doing fairly unscientific research to support my theory. If you are interested in my interpretation, I wrote a short article on it. I welcome any helpful addition or criticism.
Here's a bunch more from around this time. Most aren't as high resolution, but they're in color and beautiful. As someone else mentioned, the past looks indeed dramatically, almost eerily, different -- maybe more real, more relatable -- in color.
Instead of that, you'll see a primitive rabbi plagiarizing some older aegyptian texts and laughing about the naiveness of the world.
For those that are having issues getting this to work on the Mac, here's how to get it to work:
Download the Mac OS X version here: https://sites.google.com/site/pokemmomac/home/updatelauncherv012/PokeMMOStandalone-0.1.2.zip
I know that after loading the rom it won't work because it wants to update, and after the update the game refuses to launch. Here is how to fix it.
Download the PC version: http://pokemmo.eu/download_file/?id=1&mirror=0
Now go to the PokeMMO.app and right click to 'Show Package Contents.' Go to Contents>Resources>Game and replace everything but PokeMMO.sh from the contents of the PC version. Again, DO NOT REPLACE PokeMMO.sh and it should work.
Enjoy!
Take your business to these guys:
It says "no bullshit" on their front page and they are right. I've used them for at least 5 years now, they're great. This might be helpful too:
Start with a bike. Much smaller. Much cheaper. And drop in kits make it an easy way to get your feet wet with out a large investment.
For full sized conversions I'd hit up the diyelectric forum.
> In the end, I want working on the frontend to feel like working on a web app, so that it's familiar to web developers, follows best practices, etc. We already have, as a project, many ties to Ember, and so I chose it mostly because it feels like a solid, default choice.
I don't particularly enjoy working on web apps so that's probably part of my objection :)
>One thing that this could enable is a mode wherein you run rustdoc in the background, and as you tweak your code and the docs, it automatically updates in your browser. It won't do that today, but the way it's built fundamentally makes this possible.
I don't see any reason that would be incompatible with static pages. Hugo has "hot blog reload" and it generates static pages.
Please don't take my comment the wrong way. I'm very, very happy rustdoc is getting some much needed love and decoupling it from the compiler will make it massively better! I just don't think that rendering static documentation warrants the technical complexity of a web-app framework. It seems to me that using an existing Rust templating library would be sufficient for rustdoc.
Each year, more than 165 million Americans get the flu shot. There were 85 reported deaths following influenza vaccination in 2017; 119 deaths in 2018; and 203 deaths in 2019
Between mid-December 2020 and April 23, 2021, at which point between 95 million and 100 million Americans had received their COVID-19 shots, there were 3,544 reported deaths following COVID vaccination, or about 30 per day
In just four months, the COVID-19 vaccines have killed more people than all available vaccines combined from mid-1997 until the end of 2013 — a period of 15.5 years
As of April 23, 2021, VAERS had also received 12,618 reports of serious adverse events. In total, 118,902 adverse event reports had been filed
In the European Union, the EudraVigilance system had as of April 17, 2021, received 330,218 injury reports after vaccination with one of the four available COVID vaccines, including 7,766 deaths
Update: July 16, 2021. 11,000 Americans Dead, 48,000 Seriously Injured as of July 9. The death toll averaged nearly 100 persons per day for the period from April 23 until July 9, 2021. https://wordpress.com/post/undercurrents723949620.wordpress.com/2113

>Were you in other bands
Yeah basically my whole adolescence. I could make it a very long story but basically I had had enough of bands and started doing simple instrumental stuff which evolved into Cloudkicker over the course of two or three years.
>do you still do other things aside from Cloudkicker?
No, Cloudkicker is enough for me right now.
Well my stance for being pro-life is simply viewing the fetus as a human life and valuing life over the right to terminate it. Let me just quickly summarize my viewpoints:
Here's a link that summarizes many of my views (it's a secular pro-life group that I discovered through a booth at the Reason Rally) https://sites.google.com/site/roeflip/
I'm writing to Taylor now to protest this.
EDIT: Here's my letter. Feel free to edit this and send to any company on that list.
To whom it may concern,
I noticed on https://sites.google.com/site/boycottsopasponsors/home/list-of-supporters-and-sponsors that Taylor Guitars supports the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) that has been going through the rounds in Congress recently.
I hope that Taylor Guitars realizes that this act is an affront to our internet liberties, and its ramifications go beyond simply prohibiting online piracy. With this act, copyright content holders can take down websites without due process or diligence. SOPA allows content holders to target the mediator--the websites, instead of the offenders--the users. Google, for example, will not be able to freely provide their search service for fear that the links may contain pirated content. In turn, this harms me, and millions of other users, as we will not have full utility of this essential service. I am sure that Taylor Guitars will be harmed as well. The SOPA bill must be stopped to ensure our basic internet freedom.
I hope that you can understand my extreme displeasure in your stance. I own three Taylor Guitars, and greatly appreciate your products. Please save our internet. Please reconsider your position.
Regards,
I created a submission form (Google Docs) that will dump whatever people put into a spreadsheet. I can then use the spreadsheet to do a bulk upload of it. I will use the latest changes. (I think) you can submit multiple times, but the latest will be the one used. It isn't automatic, but it will work.
It's interesting, but it would be better if we could get a bulk submission system. The code for emoticons right now can be generated with a script, but the flair system is a bit different. There is a Python script to sync with a text file so bulk management is possible.
If someone could give me some ideas of what the CSS code should do (if you want pictures, text, colors). Some problems do occur. Images have to be uploaded to Reddit individually (no remote linking) and I don't want to upload 2,109 pictures (a pic for each user). The emoticons works using background offset (one image with many pictures in a grid).
My username contains a text flair test. Very easy to update.

Thanks for the interest. I've found the off the shelf e-bikes to be overpriced and limited in speed and power by legal issues. Instead I've built several of my own. It's a hell of a hobby, and if it replaces a car it can easily pay for itself. My next build is going to be capable of doing 45 mph with enough torque to do wheelies! I'm slowly working my way up to building electric motorcycles!
I've made a webpage to help with people interested in diy ebikes.
With those requirements, I'd recommend Jekyll generated and hosted by GitHub Pages.
You just push your markdown to a repo and it'll update your site, they handle hosting and you can still use a custom domain if you have one.
EpicNameBro has the best compiltation of lore info that I know of. If you watch his lore series on youtube, you should have a pretty firm grasp on the lore and then you are free to interpret it yourself from there. Here is his website
Sorry you're in this position, OP. Here's hoping the best for you!
It may be a little late for some of this, but here's some advice compiled from this forum:
Note: the first part is just copy paste from the Handbook. Just scroll on down until you reach the part titled, "The Real Content".
https://wordpress.com/view/ldsdiscussionpage.wordpress.com
Hopefully, some of it may still be relevant to your situation, at least the section titled "GO - Time to Go."
Good luck, OP! Please check in with us and let us know how it's going!
I use the "emacs" editor and LaTeX for anything that needs to be properly formatted, just as I have done for the past 40 years (well, the first few years of that were TeX, not LaTeX).
I have occasionally used "Pages" on my Mac, but I don't think I used it for anything at work.
I have used Google Docs a few times, when someone else has created a document that I needed to collaborate on (mainly for Academic Senate or department committees).
For web pages like my course syllabi, I generally edit HTML by hand (using emacs), keeping the format very simple.
For my blog, I use wordpress.com, which has a rather awkward, but adequate, online editing program.
Gooootdamn thank you, fuck. Well gonna work on undoing that, thank you so much for such a quick reply, definitely the noobiest move. I will have to figure out how to move from .com to .org.
I got my domain and my site is being hosted by wordpress.com because that's what I paid for eagerly like a dumbass, i think.
Thanks again and if you have tips on how to undo my whoopsie I will be more than happy to hear
I'd love to "play" this, it sounds awesome.
You know what, guys? We have to play it, not just wonder how awesome this game would be so I'm starting this. Right fucking now. (Well, not really NOW, I'll create the wiki tonight when I get home). If you're interested, send me a message or answer here and I'll note your username.
I'll try to come up with some decent ground rules for deadlines and such (I don't expect anyone to be available 26 days straight). If you have suggestions, fire away.
UPDATE : IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE! ~~Anyone wishing to join us will need a Google account : you will need to send me your Google account info so I can add you~~ We're full, sorry guys! Still, anyone willing to simply read the entries will not need an account.
If you want to join, do it quickly! There's already about 15 of us!
O'Reilly's Natural Language Processing with Python book, which uses NLTK, is available for free online here. It's pretty darned good.
Has anyone read both?
You had a wordpress.com blog then. When people talk about getting their own Wordpress site, they are referring to self-hosted installs of Wordpress from Wordpress.org.
I run any scripts I need just fine on all my self-hosted Wordpress sites. (And have heavily modified functionality through custom plugins I've written.)

Just FYI - it's always "offside" and never "offsides" (plural). Here's Ken Aston (the inventor of the yellow and red card system of communication) on why it is always singular "offside."
The Gricar disappearance was incredibly shady. His assistant DA when he disappeared has maintained a website about the circumstances of his disappearance and the complete lack of police interest in investigating it.
She describes the response of the police to his disappearance as "a complete across-the-board stand-down."
That OWS does not want a platform is not correct. There wouldn't be a demands working group in (at least) NYC if this were true. Also, the proposed July 4th, 2012 General Assembly in Philadelphia is clear proof that (at least) the protestors working toward building the movement understand that this is a major undertaking that must not be approached lightly and decisions must not be made in a rash mannor.
That includes building a well organized and thought out set of demands and course of action.
