I still don't get why the Official Reddit App limits the length of comment chains arbitrarily.
Here's the goodbye comment that already exists. No need to comment 'Goodbye'. It's already there.
I reccomend Reddit Is Fun for Android, honestly. It's much better than the official app, for me at least. Link for the lazy
When you want to use that feature on reddit, there are two simple ways:
Buy reddit gold and it will sync automatically
http://synccit.com/ Create an account … install the plugin … install a android / iphone app which works with synccit.
Have fun browsing through reddit with visited links!
After lots of people on Reddit told me to use "Reddit is fun" app instead. I am now part of the people telling others to use the "Reddit is fun" app instead.
edit: added a link because typing 3 words into Google is hard.
Reddit is Fun is a reddit client which is not in the wiki. It's a sexy client which is compact and has many features (mod tools being a major one of them). The free version has all the features of the paid version except that it has ads (tell me what devs do that these days?). The ads can also be disabled if you don't use the moderator features. It has a compact view which is quite information dense. There's also great theme support including dark themes and card views. The RiF community is very active and the dev is quite fast in answering questions. He doesn't talk much though
EDIT : link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Good job. :)
Also, if you have an android and want a client that does this for you, Reddit Is Fun has the formattinf available so you don't have to remember it.
I like Reddit Is Fun
Pros:
It's been around for a while, so tried and tested it seems to work pretty well
Displays very similar to stock "desktop" reddit does
simple and very easy to use
doesn't delete any comments in a comment thread
Cons:
simple and doesn't really have super fancy add-on features or subreddit specific css(still shows flair though, text only)
sometimes gyfcat and imgur links get stuck loading and you have to open in browser to view them
Check out Reddit Is Fun if you're on Android. It's my preferred app.

Stricly no ads and free is redditisfun , no headaches at all and no learning curve it will work just like the desktop UI .

I bought the golden platinum version for no ads https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.redditdonation
For me the best app is reddit is fun. I just bought the pro version a few days ago to thank the programmer for the many hours of enjoyable redditing his software provided me.
Hey, I'm not the one who named it. They had to change their name because Reddit doesn't allow 3rd party apps to use Reddit in their name.
I use Reddit is fun. It runs very smoothly, has all my subreddits in the my subreddit list and works especially well on tablets (still great on my phone too though!) 4.7 stars on Google Play.
Even when it's a direct link? If that's the case then yes indeed, the reddit app is utter balls
reddit is fun has always been the best way to browse in my opinion
I've only ever used Reddit Is Fun. Never had a reason to move tbh. Works great for me, very easy to use, gets regular updates...
It is on Android.. I've used it since ~2012 if I'm remembering correctly. You can block subreddits and words in titles.
I mostly browse /r/all with a block list of 50 subreddits and 20 words.
In some apps you need to enable that feature first :)
(e.g. with this one you need to do the following steps to activate this feature: Settings → History → Sync history via reddit / synccit)
>It was u/PM_me_uwu_hentai. What do you have to say for your defense?
I cannot remember what I was thinking when I made the deleted post you linked. I probably had the pastor image downloaded from somewhere on my phone. I made the post using Reddit is fun app which has an option to upload local images to imgur.
I didn't mean to steal views or whatever, I just made an unfunny post because I'm idiota.
>kinda weird this weeb (from his profile offlineTV and xqc as well, yikes)
I have shit taste sorry FeelsBadMan
You should try Reddit is fun! I have used the official app when it was made available in Italy, but I quickly switched to Rif after a friend recommended it.
I like Sync but it absolutely destroys my battery life for some reason (from lasting hours to lasting 30 minutes at most from full battery + charging case). Reddit is Fun is a good option too.
Próbowałeś innych aplikacji niż oficjalna?
Ja polecę dwie: reddit is fun (unofficial) lub BaconReader for Reddit
On Android the rif app lets you block subreddits.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en&gl=US
When I browse /r/Popular I feel bad the app because I know it has to retrieve 50 pages of content just to find a couple to show to me. I've blocked at least 10 cryptocurrency and wallstreetbet spinoffs in the last month.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
> WHAT'S NEW > 4.5.17 (May 7):
It's been a day! those bastards never updating their app, I hate them so much
It's not a link, but a spoiler. Hover the text if you're on a desktop browser. Or use reddit is fun if you're on mobile, it'll show spoilers properly, and reveal them when you select the comment.
Unless you browse reddit on apps like Reddit is fun or Now for Reddit which all process GIFs through Gfycat and saves you that 50 Mb loading while still watching the GIF.
For most people the comments cut off after 10 but yours seems to have cut off after 8 (perhaps you're using a different app). I think most people don't like this and so we're just waiting for the devs to add in a "see more comments" button like on desktop. If you really don't like it, then you can move onto a different app (Reddit is fun is a popular one on android)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_IN
This is a really good app to browse reddit on the phone. UI might get a little while to get used to, but it's tons better than the official app.
Any subreddit which doesn't opt-out and isn't quarantined will show up on /r/all. If you don't like seeing a particular subreddit on /r/all, there are a few ways to change this:
Redditisfun app lets you block users, and has a Fliter option that lets you block out subreddits, certain words in titles, urls and flairs. You can even have filters for specific subreddits.
For example, sometimes when an celeb dies/arrested/trends I'll "fliter" their name to reduce the amount of repetitive posts I see. Similarly, I am not from the states so I will regularly block a lot of political subreddits.
It is also Ad-free, which is beautiful too. I cant remember if it is a "paid" option or not because I've been using the app for so long.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I can understand the sentiment but it falls apart upon closer inspection. Intentionally using the official reddit app when there are far superior ones readily available is only shooting yourself in the foot. Edit: Check out Reddit is Fun.
On the Reddit Is Fun app (Android): Go to Settings, Content Filters, Post Filters.
I can't find an option on the mobile site.
EDIT: Sync For Reddit (also Android) has it as well, but I have no experience with that app.
reddit is funissa on mielestäni ollut flairit niin kauan kun olen sitä käyttänyt eli 3-4v nyt ainakin. Toimiiko flairit nyt siis myös Redditin mobiilisivuilla?
Yep I use Reddit Is Fun also. There's also an option for pure black background which saves power on an OLED screen.
rif is fun (formerly Reddit is fun, but they had to change it because of trademark stuff).
It does exactly what you need it to, and doesn't try to do anything more. You don't get these annoying updates, you don't get constant notifications on rising posts, etc.
In reddit is fun:
Feel free to try it on this comment. I don't mind.
Pro pro pro tip: Install Reddit Is Fun and you will be able to see the flares.
Or if you have an iPad, Alien Blue.
> WARNING: > This extension have a little conflicts with Reddit Enhancement Suite. > To fix it, you have to turn off some RES enchancements: > -Comment->New Comment Count > -UI->Never Ending Reddit
Reddit is fun permette tutto, ~~tranne~~ anche di vedere le sidebar, non mi da problemi sul mio ace3 (dual core di fascia bassa).
Sorry iOS users Android only For browsing reddit I use reddit is fun. I found it to be the best app for browsing reddit on tablets and smartphones. The paid version reddit is fun golden platinum costs only $2 and is ad free and enables you to save comments.
The app "rif is Fun For Reddit" has an option to collapse all child comments, which is what you want.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I also hate joke comment chains.
Day 338 of counting days:
Day 338
Day 1 of sharing my secret on how to get here early:
Reddit is fun app lets you have notifications on new posts on subreddits
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I you have an android phone, check out Reddit Is Fun. Been using it since about 2014, and it shows this post's tag alongside being generally awesome.
Popular unofficial Reddit app Reddit is Fun has the ability to add filters.
https://i.imgur.com/PaHviOS.png
You can also filter the title and even url domains.
I'd generally recommend Reddit is Fun, it's powerful, it's easy to use and spoiler tags work properly there.
my biggest pet peeve is unnecessary SloMo or NoMo when the other is obviously needed. just do NoMo -> SloMo (segmented if appropriate) or the opposite. dorks on the internet think they're scorsese.
Reddit app for Android. It used to be called "Reddit is Fun", but the devs had to change it to Rif when reddit pushed their official app.
I recommend trying RIF - Reddit is Fun in the Play Store if you're using Android. Developer is called TalkLittle on the play store.
Free version works great, paid version is a one time purchase of... I think $5?
Knocks off all the terrible New Reddit crap. It's Dark Mode has been my go to for reddit on mobile for years.
Try the Reddit is Fun app - you have to tap the comment you want to start the "collapse" from and then select the "HIDE" option that appears above it to make this happen.
If you have an Android device, I highly recommend reddit is fun (normal with ads | golden platinum without ads) It's pretty much old reddit in app format.
There's plenty of other lovely Android clients for Reddit! So far, I've only used reddit is fun and Slide for Reddit, but I can definitely recommend both as great apps (or at least, better than the default app).
There's plenty of others on the Play Store as well, so take a look around.
There are lots of Reddit apps. Reddit is fun in particular is a very nice app. It's lightweight and does everything you need to do. I agree that the official app is garbage.
If you're on an android cellphone use this app. It doesn't load the sidebar art so you don't have to worry about that issue. Very lightweight program.
Reddit is fun, wersja bez reklam jest warta każdego grosza.
Did you even look at the subreddit? This is for discussion of the app, reddit is fun.
Also, you were totally in the wrong.
There have been reddit apps since before there was the reddit app. I'm on reddit is fun and have never had the desire to switch to the "official" app.
C Baconreader перешёл на reddit is fun, так как бекон глючил и в нем не было некоторых фич.

Нравится отсутствие ощущения, что я в веб-версии, а не в приложении; а также больше похоже на форум, а не на ленту соцсети.
Reddit is fun has been my go to for many years now. not claiming it's "the best". but definitely my favorite after trying most of them.
There's probably an option somewhere in the settings. Alternatively, install a decent Reddit app like reddit is fun.
I'm on Android, so I use reddit is fun, but I've heard good things about Narwhal
I used Reddit is Fun for a long time, and then started using BaconReader about 6 months ago. Both are fantastic apps.
You're using a bad mobile client then if you can't see gold, flair, or the sidebar (if you're on Android, Reddit Is Fun has all of these). Reddit's official app blows but they do make all the features available to devs through the API so I'd try looking into other apps.
Either get reddit is fun if you want a similar reddit web experience or Relay for reddit if you want better UI.
rif let's you copy and paste. You can use Reddit Manager to export them. You can also access your saved Reddit posts with any rss reader.
rif is fun for Reddit (They're not allowed to call it "Reddit Is Fun" anymore, apparently)
It functions as its own Tasker plugin, but AFAICT enabling/disabling NSFW blocking is the only thing it supports.
Ich empfehle reddit is fun. Der Medienplayer hat seine Navigationsleiste unten am Bildschirmrand und lässt sich durch klicken auf das Video ausblenden.
Es gibt auch eine separate werbefreie App vom gleichen Anbieter.
I use rif is fun (formerly 'reddit is fun'). It has a great sidebar that lets you quickly pull up whatever subreddit you want. Kinda bare bones, search function is not super useful. But very straightforward UI and I've loved using it. If you want to avoid subs you're not subbed to then you can very clearly pick the front page or what have you from the sidebar.
That's just my suggestion though. There's many apps on the Google play store for reddit browsing but sometime in the last couple years they could no longer put 'reddit' in the name so if you search the official app is all you get. If rif is fun doesn't do it for you look up some other alternatives. There's a lot of them and I'm sure you'll find something that works for your needs.
I use reddit is fun app (not blue or the default reddit one). It send notification for things like mod mail and announcements. It has moderation features that is easier to use than the actual reddit app and you can put it in desktop mode to do anything a PC can do.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
>What don’t you like about it,
Crashes semi-often (at least for me)
Randomly "recommends" some dumb thread I'm not interested in and didn't take a part of by putting it as a notification that makes noise/vibration. I own my notifications, not some goddamn social media site.
Trying to jam Reddit streams down your throat
The ads.
4a. the Reddit owned mobile client is by far the best way for them to gather data on you (phone ids, cell carrier data, position, Google/Apple account information, etc, etc) they want as many people using their mobile client as possible.
5a. They have a public API which apps (and bots and any sort of integration with Reddit) use, but they specifically haven't added stuff like the direct messages support to the API. The reason they do this is because of 4a, and I won't reward that.
> and what would you recommend?
Android: Reddit is fun https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I've paid for it years ago, is highly recommend paying for it if you like it, however the free version is identical.
IoS: I can't help you, but I've heard a Apollo is good.
Je, slika je u gif formatu, no moj reddit preglednik (reddit is fun) dozvoljava zoom na gifove.
Zapravo, možeš zoomat i na videima što je jako fora. Definitivno preporučam aplikaciju.
Reddit Is Fun, a very good 3rd party Reddit app for Android.

The official Reddit app is terrible. This one is fantastic. I upgraded to the premium version for ad free goodness
> Será que estoy en el celular?
Posiblemente.
No usas ninguna aplicación de reddit? yo recomiendo Reddit is fun
I'd suggest either turning off notifications for the Reddit app in your phones settings, or trying a third-party app like Reddit is Fun or Sync.
Haha nah, sorry for the confusion. It's a third-party Reddit browsing app for Android called Reddit is Fun.
I don't have an iPhone but I'll add that for Android I have used Reddit is fun! for years and really love it.
FYI the sidebar works on certain apps, but apparently not on others.
Reddit is Fun shows the sidebar when you click the info button on any sub’s main page. It also shows submission guidelines properly on the submit page.
AFAIK the official Reddit app is the most deficient. Most of the complaints we’ve received of mobile users not seeing the sidebar have been from these users.
No problem my guy :)
Appreciate how you took the effort in to get a link, even though it wasn't for the right app
Putting an effort to do something when you don't really have to is a character trait many don't have. And it is a character trait that will take you very far.
Correct link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I'm sure you'll be understanding of the fact that I don't quite believe you.
But anyway! It's Reddit Is Fun Golden Platinum (the paid version of Reddit Is Fun) using the dark theme. It's my favorite app - I've tried the others and it's the best in my opinion.
Or use an alternative Reddit app such as Reddit Is Fun which includes formatting features.
RiF is the Reddit is Fun app for your mobile device.
For android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
IPhone equivalent:

Check out this post, maybe? It's from January but was the most recent result when I asked Google, and it seems to indicate the button for posting is hidden because it's dark text on a dark background. Sorry, I've never used the official app so I don't have any hands-on experience, maybe someone else will have more advice.
Here's a link to Reddit Is Fun, I know it's generally pretty well regarded and better liked than the official app, maybe you'll have better luck with it.
edit - I've gotta go to bed, but I'll check back in the morning and help however I can if you still need it! Good luck.
If you have the reddit is fun app, then go to:
Settings > General Settings > Untick Ads & pro features.
Enjoy!
It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users. I will extend those so they're easier for our sausage fingers to click!

Agreed...the official reddit mobile apps are junk...I prefer Reddit is Fun on Android and am still sticking with Alien Blue on iOS, which appears to still be in the App Store
A) sorry, what? Your question does not make grammatical sense.
B) I was under the impression that flair is, indeed, available to all users of reddit. Perhaps not. However, I myself use the site and moderate from mobile 99% of the time. It sounds like maybe OP has made the choice to use an inferior mode of access, and I'm not going to take responsibility for someone essentially choosing to use IE3 when a fully functional browser is right goddamn there.
I like how on reddit desktop I can collapse threads. I use reddit is fun and it doesn't seem to have that feature. Any reddit client out there that does?
I do the same (reddit is fun ftw). Works like a charm.
Though I honestly wish I could whitelist certain apps. I'd whitelist RIF in a heartbeat. It's a fantastic reddit client.
Thanks. I've done what I can to notify the admins about the problem. In the mean time, I'd recommend getting a better app. The official one is infamously not very good. Reddit is Fun is excellent.
/u/Gobba42, same message applies to you.
If you have a reddit app like Reddit is Fun, then it'll open in that app.
Also, the mobile site of reddit is pretty bad. I really recommend downloading RiF https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I have the reddit is fun app for my phone. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
It lets me turn on notifications for new posts. Its not perfect, but it usually lets me know within ~30min.
I use the reddit is fun app and it shows spoilers no problem. Someone else mentioned Narwhal. I would suggest switching apps.
Are you using the official one?I'm using Reddit is fun and it has both of those features.
Btw any of you guys know if there is an android Reddit app that shows comments faces.Browsing /r/anime threads is just not the same as on PC.
reddit is fun (unofficial) - For Limited/Mobile Data
Boost for reddit - For Unlimited/WiFi Data
Try using Reddit Is Fun for android. Sticky threads are visible with that app. Or just visit rollerblading.reddit.com on your mobile browser if you can't use Reddit is Fun.
Sorry, but there's nothing mods can do about this problem. That's an issue to take up with the developers of whichever app you use.
Meh. I'll stick with reddit is fun unless there is a compelling reason not to. Even your own official app stinks. Get with the times.
I'd recommend reddit is fun, it feels the most similar to the desktop website. It also has some features that some other reddit apps don't have (mod tools, multi support, subreddit filtering, etc).
Probably too late for anyone else to see but I use reddit is fun for Android. Sure images take a while to load just the same but all it takes is a single back button to get back to where you were from. Also, if you're on a tablet, you get split view. And there's night mode, and an account manager. And is updated regularly. I never had the need (or means) to get the paid version but it's free and I can't recommend it enough.
> Reddit.com did not allow 3rd party apps to use their name as the first 1st word in the app name.
Yet somehow reddit is fun gets away with it.
The answer depends on what you need. Since we're all redditors, I recommend reddit is fun and boost. One app that is not worth downloading is the Facebook app. You'll get a better experience from simply using your web browser instead.
edit
/u/webdiings mentioned Slide, which I had never seen before. It looks like a worthy competitor.
Reddit is Fun is the only Android App.
The adblocker and NoScript are killer features for me. Decentraleyes and HTTPSE are useful, but not essential. The rest are bundled with the app.
EDIT: While we're at it, let me also plug Slide for Reddit and NewPipe for YouTube. !Many people are recommending Reddit is Fun, RedReader or Boost for Reddit and Youtube Vanced!
No more ads!
EDIT2: my first gold ever!
As thanks I'll list a few more gratis, ad-free and/or FOSS apps that I like:
Bromite - bullshit-free Chrome clone. I mainly use this in perpetual incognito mode for quickly opening ad-ridden, JS/tracker infested sites (looking at you, news outlets) linked on reddit so I don't have to adjust NoScript settings in FF all the time. Properly set up, Bromite reliably deletes all residue (cookies, etc.) once you close the app.
AntennaPod for podcasts.
OsmAnd - GoogleMaps alternative using Open Street Maps, a bit clunky sonetimes, but you can make it work without internet connection!
Web Media Share for streaming, esp. Twitch
Odyssey - music.
FBreader - ebooks.
Sky Map - stargazing!
ClipStack - clipboard manager. Soo fucking useful. Just try it!
Hacker's Keyboard - stupid name, good keyboard. CTRL-C/CTRL-V on your phone! No tracking. No swipe either though. I still prefer this + ClipStack over any other setup though. Speech messages ftw.
K-9 Mail - email client
Signal - I don't use it personally (screw my social circle), but I do believe it's one of the best WhatsApp alternatives available.
KeePassDroid - password management
X-plore best mobile file manager IMO. Unfortunately not on F-Droid. !Someone also mentioned Amaze!
Aix Weather - cool little weather widget.
NOTE: the F-Droid website seems to have some problems atm. If you get a 404, try refreshing the page. I double-checked all the links, they do exist. Anyway, most of these apps are available through the playstore as well.
EDIT3: added some recommendations by others to the list.
You can block subs with Reddit is Fun
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Here's our troubleshooting instructions:
The_Donald is currently in quarantine, not private status. With the new standing of the domreddit, you must opt in to view it. This is best accomplished on desktop. Opting in on desktop makes T_D accessible across all of your devices and is currently the simplest method. For all operating systems, you should have a verified email address linked to your reddit profile. If you do not want to use a preexisting one, we recommend ProtonMail. Below are the methods used for all platforms.
Desktop
First, if you are using new reddit, revert to old reddit by selecting User Settings and then selecting this option You will then receive this message when you go to The_Donald. Simply select "CONTINUE" and you may now view T_D on all devices in which you are logged into with your account. If for some reason, you are unable to do this, log out of reddit, clear your complete browser history, and relaunch the browser. Log in and ensure you are still subscribed to T_D.
iOS
Users have experienced mixed results with opting in using the official reddit app. Neither Apollo nor Narwhal allow you to opt in to view The_Donald, but you are still able to interact on T_D after using desktop or the following technique: Login to reddit via Safari or Chrome and request the desktop version of reddit. This provides you the opportunity to accept access to T_D and additionally grants access to all of your other devices.
Android
Like iOS, the offical reddit app has been giving users problems when attempting to view quarantined subreddits. Two apps are known to allow you access to T_D: reddit is fun and Relay for reddit. Alternatively, you may use the same method of requesting the desktop site as described above if you don't wish to use either app. As with iOS, using the desktop site on a mobile browser grants permission to access T_D to all other devices.
This guide will be constantly updated, so if none of these troubleshooting methods help, please contact us again so we may find the solution. If you were able to access T_D by other means, please share it with the moderation team so we may be able to assist other users who encounter the same problem.
reddit is fun is better than the official reddit app and the pc website combined
Ublock Origin works on firefox android.

If you're using Android, download Reddit Is Fun. If you're on iOS, join the Master Race and purchase an Android device.
Reddit Is Fun ei petä!
And then you have the Android reddit users who use a decent app like <em>reddit is fun</em> and don't have this problem.
Instead, you can use adblock on web version and 3rd party Reddit apps on mobile.

It's actually "reddit is fun (unofficial)" which makes it blatantly obvious it's not Reddit.

How to filter these posts out on desktop browser using RES:
Step 1: On the top right click on the cogwheel and click on RES settings console
Step 2: Navigate to "Subreddits" on the left navigation bar, click on "filteReddit", scroll down until you reach the "Flair" portion on the right side and add the battlestation filter as is shown on the image.

Imgur is a fantastic image host. It lets you upload full-sized, full-quality images, for free, and keeps them archived and available for 5+ years and counting. There's simply no other imagehost with a track record that good. Tinypic went to shit. Imagebucket went to shit even worse. Dozens of smaller hosts some redditor or channer whipped up in their spare time because of how mad they were with the status quo ended with a "sorry, I just can't keep it going anymore" whimper, a couple years later.
It has bad sides to it, but they're all somewhat justifiable, and you don't have to deal with them at all if you don't want to.
>When someone links to the page their image is on, imgur often obscures the bottom half and forces users to click a button the load the rest of it, in attempt to get them to view the ads below. example
Yeah, it's shitty, and the page often loads wayyyy too much extra content. Then again, it's advertising their app which is clearly the better way to view their content and the software they've put most of their development into, this is true of many other sites: an app gives them more control over the user experience than a mobile page.
>It is attempting to be a socialmedia platform instead of an efficient image host. There is no need for that. No longer is there a simple "upload" button, now it is "new post."
Is there anything about it that makes it a less efficient image host? That "new post button" opens a prompt to paste an image, an image link, or drag/select an image from your computer. Upon doing so, it uploads the image, and shows you options to post it, and the hyperlink. The image is already on their servers, ready to be shared directly, and on your account if you're logged in. You don't need to engage with the community aspect at all, and it in fact makes them a better image host because it keeps them afloat.
>Actually they completely removed the upload button from the mobile site, displaying an app ad with sponsored content below that. You cannot upload images to their mobile site through a browser now, you have to manually redirect your browser to the desktop version.
Again, this is because they're putting more dev time into the imgur app and considered developing the site to be too redundant. The app itself is 10 MB. You have no reason to use the inferior mobile version if you view Imgur links or upload to Imgur regularly.
Not to mention pretty much all of your points are countered by the fact Imgur has a very robust API, which makes it so you can view their images using other apps on mobile, or upload from other programs on desktop.
I've been using Imgur for years and I hardly ever have to interact with the site proper. ShareX directly uploads my images to my account and to a folder of my choosing, right from the taskbar. Reddit Is Fun just added functionality that makes it so clicking on any imgur link (hotlink, regular link, album) ONLY serves the images, within RIF itself. It's fantastic.
And of course the usual Google Inc apps are good to have (Maps, YouTube, Play Music, etc.)
Agree. Reddit is Fun is top tier
3rd party mobile reddit client. It's a solid client but there's lots to chose from.
Reddit is fun. By far the best app for Android. I have been using it for years across multiple devices.
reddit is fun is actually the best app. tyvm.
reddit is fun has unobtrusive ads that can be totally disabled in exchange for some pro features.
They've got an official Android app in the works, but honestly, the selection on Android is fantastic anyway.
I personally use reddit is fun, but BaconReader, Now, Relay, Sync, Slide, Flow, Swipe, and others are all fantastic as well.
Hell, there's even offline apps.
Androidille voin suositella reddit is fun!
It is because of this that I use a mobile app, but I use Reddit is Fun over the official app.

reddit is fun is easily the best android client
Reddit is Fun aka RIF is the best app for Android, and the closest to classic Reddit desktop. (imo)
<strong>reddit is fun</strong>
I've used it for years. I love it, but I can see how others might not. It's not the prettiest, but that's what I prefer. I just want a barebones, pc/browser-like experience.
<strong>Slide</strong> / <strong>RedReader</strong>
Both are on f-droid. Slide is pretty. It's great for media-based subreddits (pics/vids). RedReader reminds me a bit more of reddit is fun.
Reddit apps are very, very subjective. What's perfect for some, isn't for others. I've used reddit is fun for years, but I can't deny others are great too. It's really about whatever works for you.
Reddit is fun has a dark theme that you can give a black background. I use it on my galaxy.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Reddit is fun my man. That's where real reddit surfing's at.
official app sucks dick
I prefer Reddit is Fun
I'd wager the creators of reddit is fun do. Call it a hunch.
Anybody using the official Reddit app should check out Apollo (iOS) or any of the great 3rd party Android clients (I like rif, but Boost and Relay are also among the great ones.)
The official app is, hands down, the worst, most ad-riddled, unusable garbage imo. 3rd party apps don't contain any of reddit's ads or forced Live broadcasts.
The free versions will have their own ads, but toss them a couple bucks (once) and they'll be gone too. In the case of rif, you can even turn off the ads for free and lose a tiny subset of features -- or at least that was true before I bought it, years ago.
Plug for Reddit is fun
Usá rif is fun, la app oficial de reddit es una poronga
Use a different client. Personally I'm using rif :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Try reddit is fun - it's the best Android reddit app, hands-down.
I switched to Reddit is Fun (for Android), I didn't realize just how bad the default app had become.
seriously, pro tip friend - get the browser extension called reddit enhancement suite. you can set this up to force your browser to use old.reddit.com as default, switch on dark mode, and filter all the shitty subreddits. you can put tags on users coming from shitty subs or are just general shitbergs you know you don't wanna interact with, or use another extension called masstagger similarly. RES will track your upvotes/downvotes over time and setup filters to ignore specific users, etc. just a way better overall reddit experience.
also, reddit is fun on android is way better than the official reddit app too.
Use the app "reddit is fun". It's basically a reddit app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
I use Reddit is fun exclusively. The official Reddit app sucks.
Reddit is Fun if you're on Android
Reddit is fun is a third party app that doesn't display awards
For iOS users, my personal recommendation is Apollo. While I’m not familiar with the Android options, I’ve heard consistent praise for reddit is fun and Sync.
one. Reddit is fun
Works also on Reddit is fun
get reddit is fun, man.
I recommend using reddit is fun. Other than notifications it's straight up upgrade from the official app. Edit: Link
Reddit Is Fun FTW
For anyone searching, they renamed it rif is fun for copyright reasons. Here's a link
A solid app
Android link rif is fun for Reddit . The Reddit official app is garbage.
I've had reasonable luck with reddit is fun.
Reddit is fun is hard to beat
I'm partial to reddit is fun but to each their own.

I love RIF
LFtL... Reddit is Fun
Eu uso o RIF desde 2014 e nunca tive vontade de mudar
I posted this as a reply to OP but here it is again anyway.
How to filter these posts out on mobile reddit app Reddit is fun:
Click on the 3 dots on the top right -> go to Settings -> Content filters -> Post filters -> On the top right click on + to add new filter -> name it "battlestation", subbreddit AMD, filter type flair -> save
Another link for mobile users who want an actual good app:
Play store link: Reddit is fun
Well Android has loads of great apps. Reddit is Fun is a go-to for many, probably due to its resemblance to the website, but we have a bunch of great apps with hundreds of thousands of downloads.
Personally I mostly use Sync. It follows material design guidelines and is updated often with new features. The best thing in my opinion is how every feature it has just works.
Sometimes I change to Boost because it's such a good app design wise that it's hard to resist.
Then there's Relay, a favorite for many though I personally don't use it because of how it handles YouTube links. (edit to clairfy: there is indeed a setting for opening YouTube links outside the app, but in the many years I have tried this app the setting has never worked the way I'd expect it to. I still have to do some weird workaround to get YouTube links to open in the YouTube app)
Recently Joey has risen in popularity. It's a great app even if I personally don't like some of its quirks.
Then there's BaconReader, Now, Slide, Ready and probably even more of them that I have missed. They're all really good and they all deserve a try.
Recomendo tentar o reddit is fun. É muito superior ao app oficial.
Reddit is fun has this feature
Assuming you are on android; Reddit Is Fun
Reddit is Fun is quite good as well
Just use Reddit is Fun, much simpler https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_GB or Bacon Readers if you have an iPhone.

<strong>reddit is fun</strong> - It's fairly subjective. I like it because I've found that reddit is fun is most similar to browsing via my PC. It seems to be actively updated as well.
<strong>DoggCatcher</strong> - I've upgraded to the paid version. (The free version limits to 10 feeds and only individual syncing.) I've never had a problem with it, and it's also frequently updated.
<strong>SD Maid</strong> - I've upgraded to the paid version. It does what it does well, and it isn't bloated. It's frequently updated.
<strong>Greenify</strong> - Others can explain it better than I can, sorry.
<strong>Wallpaper Changer</strong> - I use it to randomly change my wallpaper via local saved files.
<strong>Google Keep</strong> - Useful for saving notes.
<strong>CloudMagic</strong> - This one more difficult for me to recommend, as they've changed the pay model recently. (The changes only affect new users, so I was unaffected.)
EDIT: I am not rooted.

Meanwhile over on redditisfun, things running smooth as per usual.
Mobile apps always can get more data, even with most privacy settings off. Here's an example:
- You disable location access, which is supposed to stop the app from tracking you
- Instead, the app (on Android) uses a wakelock to keep the device on
- It then phones home, and your IP is collected, and your location can be logged based off your IP, even if this is more inaccurate
Now, while this may not be happening just yet, due to the nature of Reddit being ad supported, and wanting more data to target ads, them pushing their own mobile app is something which serves them at the expense of your privacy.
However, this doesn't mean you shouldn't use Reddit. Instead, make a switch to a community developed app, such as the following:
iOS

Apollo | https://itunes.apple.com/app/id979274575 | Free, $2.99 for Pro (you need Pro to post) |
narwhal | https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id845422455?mt=8 | Free, $3.99 upgrade for pro (ad-free + some extra fancy options) |

Reason for switching to one of these, is while many of these have ads, they utilize an ad network. The ad network (such as Google) will be the ones targetting you with ads, not the app developer, and as such, there is no incentive for the app developer to harvest data, but instead they have the incentive to make people see more ads, by creating a good app which people use for longer.
Based on the fact you said iOS beta, I think I can ignore the Android list. For iOS, and based on my SO's experience with both Narwhal and Apollo, for casual browsing Apollo seemed to be much better, whereas once she became more accustomed to Reddit, she switched to Narwhal with it just being more straightforward, with less flashy animations, while still feeling fast (something which the native Reddit app lacked in comparison).
If you happen to use an iPad, I have no idea on how good those apps are on iPads (I use a Surface Pro, hence I actually included Windows 10 - Readit is also a nice app just for desktop browsing, with it being much lighter than running a full instance of Chrome)
TL;DR - Defautl reddit app has an incentive to track your data, but custom one's don't, so use a custom app.

For Android I give a shoutout to the Reddit is fun-app, it doesn't show spoiler tagged images.
> Wish I wasn't on my phone so I could give you an Upvote.
reddit is fun for Android. :)
> XFCE predates the GNOME project by several years, and still champions platform-independence. Gnome 2 was once considered bloated and XFce was a lightweight alternative.
Yep and Yup.
> These days, computers are faster so people think that the Gnome2 branch/MATE were designed with speed in mind; nothing could be further from the truth.
So here's the thing. Yes, GNOME 2 was not designed originally for being lightweight but MATE essentially was. MATE while originally being a fork of GNOME 2 has changed so much stuff and rewritten so much of the DE that calling it GNOME 2 is quite inaccurate. MATE is very much aimed as a lightweight DE.
MATE is in fact 40% lighter, in terms of RAM usage, than XFCE . . . especially with 4.12 using more than 4.10 did.
> One other note for people who think that Xfce is dead because of its slow, methodical release schedule:
They do not have a release schedule that is designed to be slow . . . they just are slow. For example, 4.12 was originally intended to be released in March of 2013 but was actually released in February of 2015. I'm not saying this is necessarily bad and in fact some people like this lack of speed for XFCE development. I'm just clarifying that it was not an intention, just "one of those things" type of situation.
> Xfce as a project has undergone three major rewrites in its history. Gtk3 will be the fourth. I say this because when MATE finally transitions to Gtk3, it will be the FIRST time that project has done anything outside of maintenance for Gnome 2 applications.
That's true about XFCE but your statement about MATE is not true. MATE has been heavily rewritten from the original state of the fork so just saying they maintained GNOME 2 applications is inaccurate.
> Xfce is two decades old this year, still multi-platform, and only releases when its ready. Development is still at a faster pace than MATE imho; just look at the activity on each projects git page.
XFCE is 20 years old yes though XFCE 4.x is almost 13 years of those 20 years. For a while, XFCE's git were dominated with translations commits which is not development.
MATE has released many versions over the past 4+ years including support for both GTK2 and GTK3. MATE 1.14 already has the ability to compile against both GTK2 and GTK3.
To be fair, the post might have been submitted from something like this.
Reddit is Fun is my goto Reddit app.
'redditisfun' is a great Android alternative.
Recommend Rif is fun if you like old reddit and want a reddit mobile app.
I'd reccomend to use either i.reddit.com or reddit is fun app on the phone.
wow, so glad I'm using Reddit Is Fun
Agreed, RedditIsFun is the only reddit app that doesn't suck
I use reddit is fun, which allows you to filter out subreddits.
It's Android. So first thing you should know is that iMessage gets replaced with Google Hangouts.
That said, if you're interested in keeping your data and planning on installing custom roms you might want to unlock the bootloader before you get too far into playing with our phone. Otherwise...
Here are some good apps to start off with:
Reddit Is Fun - Because Reddit
PressureNet - Help improve weather forecasts.
Google Keep - Keep notes, pretty self explanatory.
ES File Explorer - See your files
Lookout Security - There are a lot of security apps out there. This just happens to be the one I found to be least intrusive. ES File explorer scans app permissions to make you aware of what the apps are requesting too.
Waze - GPS Navigation. Different from Google maps.
Google Opinion Rewards - Get store credits for answering questions. Usually about where you've shopped.
Games I have enjoyed:
The Impossible Game - This game always drives me crazy.
Dummy Defense - Alright physics based game.
Ingress - Fun for a month. Then you sorta forget about it.
Okay - Pretty fun puzzle based game.
Not necessary but I've been trying out:
Brave Browser - Link Bubble - Still early access and totally a beta but it seems promising.
Camera VF-5 - I don't know what the hype is but I figured I'd check it out. It's supposed to seem like a DSLR I think.
Anyway welcome to the Android family. You might want to x-post this to /r/android to get more suggestions. I know people like to get apps that modify the home screen but I've grown fond of the default Google one.
Edit: Formatting
It's also two presses with the app I use, Reddit is Fun.
Check with /r/Military and/or /r/USMC.
This sub is for the Android app, Reddit Is Fun.
I personally like reddit is fun, it looks like a mobile version of reddit's desktop site and is easy to use.
Лучше пользоваться специльными приложениями. Например, reddit is fun.
If you are on Android, you can download Reddit is fun which gives the most browser-like experience.
now called RiF is fun, for copyright reasons
Or just use an app that lets you apply formatting right ~~in~~ >!the!< editor.
Let me introduce you to RIF
Just another recommendation to use literally any app that isn't the official one.
They all have a better UI, they're more customizable, I haven't seen them lack any features and it gets you rid of dumb notifications like "/r/nobodycaresaboutthissub is trending" and "you should totally check out /r/subihaveliterallynointerestin"
Non exhaustive list with links of android apps (only listing the ones I have used):
Reddit is fun; never been a fan of the UI personally as it resembles too much the old PC design but you can't deny its functionality and it's the OG app and it's otherwise solid
Sync, Relay and Boost; all pretty similar, nothing wrong with any of them, I just dropped them because I didn't feel like paying for the premium version.
Slide; my current app, it does have a premium version but it doesn't hide any big features behind it and is ad-free even in the free version.
If anyone's after a good Android reddit app, Reddit is Fun continues to serve me well.
On Android, I like reddit is fun
I've also heard good things about Sync and Relay. I've tried both and they seemed solid, but I just kept going back to RiF
LPT: get Reddit is fun
Because you use the default reddit app, despite better alternatives. At the very least you should disable notifications.
If you're on iOS download something like Beam for Reddit, and if you're on Android something like Reddit is Fun or Sync.
Don't even use the app. I'm not sure what the best is for iOS, but I use Reddit Is Fun for Android.

The admins addressed password security last week:
>If you haven't seen it in the news, there have been a lot of recent password dumps made available on the parts of the internet most of us generally avoid. With this access to likely username and password combinations, we've noticed a general uptick in account takeovers (ATOs) by malicious (or at best spammy) third parties.
>Though Reddit itself has not been exploited, even the best security in the world won't work when users are reusing passwords between sites. We've ramped up our ability to detect the takeovers, and sent out 100k password resets in the last 2 weeks. More are to come as we continue to verify and validate that no one except for you is using your account. But, to make everyone's life easier and to help ensure that the next time you log in you aren't greeted a request to reset your password:
> * Choose a strong, <strong>unique</strong> password. The emphasis here is important. I don't mean "use that really good password you use on sites you care about." I mean "one that is used for Reddit and Reddit alone!" Password reuse is really bad! We care a lot about security, but we can't do anything about the security of that other site you use the same password on who decides not to use bcrypt but rather a nifty hashing scheme of their own devising! * Set and verify an email address. We currently have exactly one way for you to reset your account and that's by email. For almost 11 years we've been respectful of your not wanting to necessarily give us an email address. If your account gets taken over and you've got no reset email, you're going to have a bad time. * Check your own account activity page! If you see some IPs in there that you don't recognize (and especially ones from countries you don't spend much time in), it's probably not a bad idea to change your password. This might break any integrations you have with 3rd parties you've shared your credentials with, but it's easy to re-auth.
>On a related point, a quick note about throw-aways: throw-away accounts are fine, but we have tons of completely abandoned accounts with no discernible history and exist as placeholders in our database. They've never posted. They've never voted. They haven't logged in for several years. They are also a huge possible surface area for ATOs, because I generally don't want to think about (though I do) how many of them have the password "hunter2". Shortly, we're going to start issuing password resets to these accounts and, if we don't get a reaction in about a month, we're going to disable them. Please keep an eye out!
>---
>Q: But how do I make a unique password?
>A: Personally I'm a big fan of tools like LastPass and 1Password because they generate completely random passwords. There are also some well-known heuristics. [Note: lmk of your favorites here and I'll edit in a plug.]
>Q: What's with the fear mongering??
>A: It's been a rough month. Also, don't just take it from me this is important.
>Q: Jeez, guys why don't you enable two-factor authentication (2FA) already?
>A: We're definitely considering it. In fact, admins are required to have 2FA set up to use the administrative parts of the site. It's behind a second authentication layer to make sure that if we get hacked, the most that an attacker can do is post something smug and self serving with a little [A] after it, which...well nevermind.
>Unfortunately, to roll this out further, reddit has a huge ecosystem of apps, including our newly released iOS and android clients, to say nothing of integrations like with ifttt.com and that script you wrote as a school project that you forgot to shut off. "Adding 2FA to the login flow" will require a lot of coordination.
>Q: Sure. First you come to delete inactive accounts, then it'll be...!
>A: Please. Stop. We're not talking about removing content, and so we're certainly not going to be removing users that have a history. If ATOs are a brush fire, abandoned, unused accounts are dry kindling. Besides, we all know [who the enemy is](/user/me) and why!
>Q: Do you realize you linked to https://www.reddit.com/prefs/update/ like three times?
>A: Actually it was four.
>---
>Edit: As promised (and thanks everyone for the suggestions!) I'd like to call out the following:
> * Keepassx and KeePass as password managers * Keepass2Android * https://haveibeenpwned.com/ as a way to check if your account could be compromisible.
>Edit 2: Here's an awesome word-cloud of this post!

Reddit Is Fun creates notifications for any PMs you receive as soon as you open the app. FWIW.
Angående spørsmålene i undersøkelsen.
Hvilken client bruker brukeren?
All the others are suggesting their favorite apps, my suggestion is to try them all. I mean obviously not every single reddit app, just the top ones, and see which one you like.
They are free, and I think you can tell immediately if you don't like the app, so you don't even have to waste hours for this.
You should definitely try these:

I use rif is fun for Reddit, it lets you set up filters just like you're talking about.
There are a few different ones. I use reddit is fun.

$250/month gets you 7,500,000 requests / month. (I'm pretty sure this is the plan that the Boost dev uses.)
The might seem like a lot... but it really isn't. That works out to be ~250,000 requests per day, or 10,000 users making 25 requests per day.
How many active users does RiF have per day? I dunno (talklittle has never really given me an answer to that question), but we can probably guess by looking at the number of installs listed on the Play Store pages for reddit is fun and Boost.
App | # of Installs |
---|---|
Boost | 100,000 - 500,000 |
RiF | 5,000,000 - 10,000,000 |
So... probably won't be able to squeak by with the same plan that Boost uses. The next plan up the list is $4,000/month.

The best reddit app out there IMO. Its functions like the reddit on desktop.
I use Reddit is Fun on Android. It only runs on Android. Highly rated. They also have a subreddit, obviously.
Also if you don't know about Reddit Enhancement Suite, you should know about Reddit Enhancement Suite. You can view all of the images without clicking links and each consecutive page loads automatically. Great for scrolling/ Redditting efficiently!
Para de usar o app oficial e muda pro RIF ou algum similar
Use Rif instead, no ads whatsoever.
I use this on mobile. Still no ads.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_AU&gl=US
Had good experience with RIF.
If you use one of the fabulous apps like reddit is fun, yes. Otherwise no
Reddit is Fun just opens the gyfcat link.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
rif works great and is free on Android.
No idea about iOS unfortunately.
eu uso rif, acho simples e prático:

La app oficial de reddit es una cagada.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Yo uso esa
Ite käytän reddit is fun:ia.
Try Reddit is Fun app.
I was using the RedditIsFun Mobile App. Much better than the official Reddit Mobile.
RiF -- /r/redditisfun -- is my go-to as it's the easiest to quickly consume content, imo. While it doesn't lock posting behind a paywall like some, the premium version is only one dollar & ad-free.
Sync and Relay are both great as well if you prefer more eye candy.
Can't link you but Apollo is your best option for iOS.
I have used Reddit is fun for years. It let's you sort comments by old like you wanted plus many more features.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
There's also a platinum version for a couple of bucks. I recommend that one, but both are great.
Have you tried reddit is fun? Its updated regularly and it has a lot of fans! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit Edit: Happy Cake Day BTW
Looks like reddit is fun. I bought the gold version for mod features and would highly recommend it.
I can only speak for Android, but there are many other reddit apps that don't suck:
I'm sure that I missed someone's favorite. Each of these have Pro versions as well.
Su reddit is fun ci sono le notifiche
YSK there's a ton of Reddit mobile apps. I'm using redditisfun But there's a ton to choose from.
Well there's your problem. The official Reddit app is among the worst Reddit apps on Android. Here you go bud
I've been using Reddit is fun for years and have no complaints
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Edit: Forgot CSS doesn't work on reddit apps
I don't know exactly what you mean, but it sounds like the CSS is getting in the way or something.
You can get rid of css by going into your preferences and disabling it, or add these things to the links.

Also, If you are using the Official Reddit App, I've heard bad things about it, and prefer Reddit is Fun
Super customizable, night theme, cards, multiple accounts, and so much more. It's perfect!
Don't worry- I have a premade list of apps for friends who are new to Android. Links to apps are in the bolded app name.
Personally I use <strong>reddit is fun</strong> for my mobile browsing. Black AMOLED mode ftw
<strong>CamScanner</strong> - Document/paper scanner, can convert to PDFs and stuff. Good for scanning copies of handouts. Can make text in scans searchable.
<strong>Office Lens</strong> is good too, Microsoft made. Has a whiteboard mode apparently, among other things. Syncs with other Office apps and Office for desktop
<strong>Greenify</strong> - Hibernates apps you choose to save memory and battery
<strong>Google Photos</strong> - Easy photo organization, editing, and sharing. Has free unlimited compressed photo backup. Can automatically enhance and stitch photos, collages, and such. Full-size uncompressed photo backups take up Drive space. ~~I keep full-size backups on Drive (got plenty of space)~~ Full-size photo backups and Google's unlimited compressed photos have negligible quality loss- though occasionally I pull off the full-size photos from my phone to my computer.
~~Google Camera - I don't think it's as powerful as the default camera but it does pretty cool stuff like photo spheres and extra large photo panoramas and background blurs.~~ No longer up-to-date for non-Nexus, non-Pixel devices.
<strong>Spotify</strong> - Desktop and mobile music streaming.
<strong>Google Keyboard</strong> - Clean keyboard with swipe gesture typing that gets smarter as you use it. I abandoned Swype after 5 years since their last update screwed everything.
<strong>Darker</strong> - Very lightweight screen dimmer and color light filter for night use
<strong>Yahoo Weather</strong> - Nice-looking weather app
<strong>Soundhound</strong> - Music identification app. Can hum or whistle too. Saves recordings for later if there's no internet.
<strong>Wikipedia</strong> - Useful to have. Opens automatically when tapping on a Wikipedia link in a browser.
<strong>Timely</strong> - Pretty alarm clock and stopwatch/timer. Syncs across devices.
<strong>Textra</strong> - Very fast third-party SMS app, very customizable. Contains ads, can purchase Pro in-app.
<strong>GCloud Backup</strong> - Cloud backups for stuff like settings, contacts, phone logs, messages, etc. Then the regular stuff like Gmail, Chrome, Google Docs, G Drive, G Calendar. Google-tied services are really convenient since it's all integrated with Android and syncs nicely.
If you misplace your phone, you can lock, ring, or erase it. Pinpoints phone location if the location is turned on. https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager
Just some useful stuff to have. Ask if you have questions
EDIT: More apps-
<strong>Poweramp</strong> - Powerful music player with equalizer. I have since moved on to Spotify Premium and Viper4Arise and DD+.
<strong>Hotspot Shield VPN</strong> - Free VPN service for private browsing needs.
<strong>AirDroid</strong> - I forgot the most essential app- basically a remote access tool for everything on your phone from your browser or a native desktop client. Mirrors actionable notifications, which also open on your desktop. e.g. Gmail notification from phone comes to desktop, clicking it opens a new browser tab on your computer with the email. Wireless file transfers. Screen mirroring. Offers similar service to Apple's AirDrop. I used to use Pushbullet, but since they started charging users, I went back to AirDroid.
Redditisfun, but it's for Android only. I find the ui much more intuitive than the official app.
r/redditisfun
Flo Period & Ovulation Tracker. Simple, clean looking. I love it.
Pushbullet Really usefull. Can't live without.
TVShow Time If you are anything like me and watch way too many things at the same time and forget when x show plays...this is really amazing haha
Time to download Reddit is Fun.
edit: you're welcome
redit is fun. Best app for redditing.
Swiftkey. Best app for keyboarding
Bandsintown. If you are about going to concerts.
Rocket Player. Best app for musicing.
Teamviewer. Control your PC from your phone from anywhere.
Series Guide. Keep track of new episodes of TV shows you watch.
You can add filters in Reddit is fun
Get Reddit is Fun
I use Reddit Is Fun on my phone and have been very happy with it. I'll have to look up Reddit Sync.
For users with Android phones, you can perform all these actions natively with the 'reddit is fun' app.
The report button on Reddit is Fun works fine.
The app reddit is fun has this feature.
Alien Blue or Reddit is Fun. :)
Reddit is fun. First app I've ever installed for Reddit and never tried anything else.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Reddit has two mobile web versions:
There's also Alien Blue for iOS, which is the only official general Reddit app:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/alien-blue-reddit-official/id923187241
And there's a plethora of third party apps available for Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.laurencedawson.reddit_sync&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=free.reddit.news&hl=en
It's called Reddit is fun on the Play Store.
It doesn't seem to exist for iOS...
And of course the usual Google Inc apps are good to have. For other apps simply browse through the play store popular apps and see if there's anything that interests you.
Reddit is fun. Incredibly witty name, I tell you.
I like Reddit is fun
You don't need to root or unlock your bootloader. But look into those if you want. The phone is pretty customizable already. For apps I recommend checking out the following.
And of course the usual Google Inc apps are good to have. For other apps simply browse through the play store popular apps and see if there's anything that interests you.
You can also make Hearthstone (a game made by Blizzard) work on your phone. Follow these instructions.
Doesnt work on reddit is fun at all
fuck that
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Why not get Reddit is Fun and check out /r/mma? The best MMA articles find their way here, anyways.
RedditIsFun is a good alternative to the official app, honestly.

There's no reason to ever see ads. It's been preventable for 15 years....
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Not a ton of features, and mod stuff is a pain, but simple and effective.
Something something real LPT in the comments
Reddit's app is ad-laden garbage. There are plenty of options for Android as well, but more accurately: for Android, there is only one: rif
If you use Android, avoid all of that mess and use the legitimately superior-in-every-way rif
Reddit Is Fun doesn't have ads unless you turn on the free pro feature. You can also buy the pro version to have all the pro features with no ads.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
maybe this is intended to read as a joke, but it is indeed an app.
I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit Think I might have paid like $2 or whatever to get rid of ads, can't remember as it has been close to a decade that I've used it.
Use this instead of the official app, it's a game changer.
I often use RIF - one of the many API clients that filtering is broken or absent with.
Flair filters do nothing for folks like us.
On mobile, specifically Reddit is fun it is possible to block an entire subreddit, it's also possible to block keywords etc.
I have numerous different subs entirely blocked, certain keywords as well, Reddit is a much nicer place like this.
I'd honestly recommend RIF as must have app
Just as a heads up, it's called rif is fun for Reddit" now because of trademark licensing changes.
It's also the app I use and I like it a lot, but it's not fully featured (can't give gold for example). I've never missed any of the features it doesn't have, but that might be a thing some people care about.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Login and give it a shot. It's just a different layout. Popular consensus is that any app is better than the official one. There are a bunch of alternatives to try.
I use Rif: Reddit is fun
This is the one I use. it defaults to having ads on, but let's you turn them off.
reddit is fun >>> offizielle app
Try using a better reddit app, like rif
EDIT: just realized on desktop that the orange on white on black is pretty weird for a quoted link in dark mode. You're right.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
They were forced to rename to "rif is fun for reddit" by reddit.
I think it's Android only too btw.
Ahh.. Okay, thanks. I've tried that but found it to annoying, much like the new reddit. Reddit is fun is so much cleaner and simpler to use.
RiF = RiF is Fun
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
It used to be Reddit is fun but due to policy changes by Google the dev had to rename it.
I'll tack onto this saying I've found rif is fun for Reddit to be the best for Android.
RIF - you can find it here - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en&gl=US
If you are on IOS you should look for Apollo
Great voice, I would love to listen to the whole video if anyone has it.
On a side note, reddit is fun is fun is a mobile reddit browser that lets you unmute .gifs like these in app so all you peeps who can't hear it can unmute it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
The name has changed over the years due to reddit's naming requirements for third party apps. I was just joking around since the developer essentially renamed it to "reddit is fun is fun for reddit".
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Try it out, everyone.
It has that "Android app built with love" charm.. in that it has settings that change just about everything.
Very customizable. Very good dark mode.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Reddit is Fun if on Android.
On Android I use Reddit is Fun (RIF). I think it's the best Reddit app there is, period.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
RIF is the app I use, and it doesn't have the chat function at all.
You can also use the old version of reddit, which segregates the two, explained here.
I also use the Reddit Enhancement Suite which is pretty nice.
It changed names, which is why /u/Hello_Pity might not be able to find it. It's now called rif is fun for reddit.
Reddit is Fun > Official Reddit App
...are you browsing reddit on the default reddit app on android? Good heavens, what is wrong with you?
Get Reddit Is Fun. When you fall in love with it, pay a couple of bucks to get Reddit Is Fun Golden Platinum.
You're welcome.
Rif is fun, и больше никаких "схорони" (кнопка "схоронить" в контекстном меню при просмотре видосика)
Are you new to reddit? Your account is less than a year old, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. However, I've seen bitching like this from newer users, and I suspect that's part of the problem.
I can't help with iOS. Apple lost my business years ago. So if that's your mobile access, well, bummer.
On Android, get RIF. There are others, but it replaced Baconreader for me in 2011. Haven't looked back. It's great. You can just turn off ads. Swap what side the vote arrows are on for hand preference. Dark mode is awesome. It has a formatting bar for easier linking and whatnot.
On your desktop, get RES. Force it to load the old design by default. I reddit in Chrome when I'm on my computer, and Chrome is running RES, uBlock Origin, uBlock Origin Extra, Skip Redirect, Dark Reader (seriously, fuck anything not in dark mode), HTTPS Everywhere, and some other unrelated extensions. I also have a router level black hole script running.
As for why you haven't heard about KotOR, well, I can't much help you. There are good mobile games out there, though. Here's a few that might be worth checking out:
The Room (series)
Time Surfer
FRAMED
Shadowrun Returns (I can't seem to find a link to this, unfortunately, which sucks, because I'm getting a new phone and it's one of my first downloads. I think I got it from an old Humble Bundle.)
Bloons TD5
Guild of Dungeoneering
Spaceteam (local multiplayer)
Evoland
Battlevoid: Harbinger
Mini Metro
And many more. I really miss the old Humble Bundle, because they'd run mobile bundle, and I've got a ton of games for my phone. Bard's Tale is even on mobile. Has been for years.
Hopefully some of this is useful. Cheers.
I use reddit primarily on my phone, and I use the app "reddit is fun". This app let's you easily filter out posts depending on flair or key words. It's way better than the reddit app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Use a reddit client on mobile.
Or if you insist on mobile browser , find a checkbox/setting that says view on desktop mode.
Or use old.reddit.com
Try the app "reddit is fun". They very few times I access reddit from my phone I use it. It has the "old reddit" feel to it; sorta.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_US
Or use Firefox for Android with uBlock Origin of course...
Reddit Is Fun is absolutely the best one imo
I like using reddit is fun
Are you referring to the Reddit Is Fun app or the Reddit app
I prefer the Reddit is Fun app because it is simple and straight forward. I have a hard time getting used to the Reddit app. It's just not my cup of tea. I even tried to ONLY use the Reddit app and not RIF and ended up going right back to RIF for simple convenience and usability.
It is also important to say I have been using the RIF app longer which also contributes to my preference.
Might be why the images are forced to be big like that. I'd definitely recommend an alternative app or using the official one, as it isn't the greatest in terms of image browsing.
RIF, Reddit Is Fun, it's a Redfit mobile app.
Unlike the official Reddit app, I like using this one.
I'm actually using the "Platinum" version, I figured that if I was using it for more than a year, it was worth supporting.
The link doesn't work for me either (desktop browser), but I know that if you use RES, you can filter out posts by flair (and other things).
On mobile, I know that the Reddit is Fun app can filter out in the same way.
Die Pro Version (platinum) ist ganz ohne Werbung. Sehr angenehm wie ich finde :)
All I see on my phone is "Blade Runner 2049 // Cyberpunk 2077"
If there is more on the web page or the official Reddit app then I don't see it on my Reddit Is Fun app on Android.
But since that app blocks all of the ads, I will be keeping it.
io uso baconreader, ma in diversi post su reddit parlano bene di "Reddit is fun". https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
Yeah it's a desktop only thing. If you're on Android you can also try reddit is fun, it also has content filters in the settings.
Hi! the enhancement suite is a browser extension, but if you're on Android then Reddit Is Fun supports multiple accounts. Open the app, tap the three dots in the top-right corner and press Manage Accounts. You can then press the + button to add more accounts, or tap on one you've already added to switch between them
Yes xir, there's a paid version too as well for $1.99
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I personally use RedditIsFun, but honestly any of these are probably better than the official shitshow.
It should be in the app store. this is the one in the play store
Reddit is Fun by talklittle. It's damn near the only way i actually use Reddit, and has the most seamless implementation of v.reddit videos I've seen. It also, of course, let's you download.
reddit is fun on android

Последнюю вроде как хвалят особенно.
Ok let me try to help one last time.
If you have Andorid, use Reddit is fun. It has a filter option in the settings.
If you're on iOs, i'm sure some reddit app will also have that.
Usa la app reddit is fun, es mucho más liviana.
It's an Android app. I almost exclusively browse Reddit on mobile.
If you're on desktop, the Reddit Enhancement Suite can also block subs.
Iti recomand asta in loc de jegul de aplicatie oficiala.
Для Android ще є reddit is fun, я б його радив замість офіційного клієнта.
redditisfun can do it and is the better option on Android. It's even ad-free if you disable mod/pro features and offers a dark mode.
Or just open it in a browser set to desktop mode, accept, then go back to the app of your choice. (current reddit admins are still butthurt, though)
Make sure you’re tapping / clicking directly on the spoilers and not on the username / the little minus symbol next to the up and downvote buttons—because that will collapse the comment instead of revealing the spoiler.
It also depends on what you’re reading the subreddit on. If you’re on a desktop, you should be golden. Just in case this is a New Reddit issue, though, I’m gonna link you to the Old Reddit page:
If you’re on your phone or something, are you on the official Reddit app? There are several known issues with that app, including issues with spoiler tags.
We recommend you switch to Reddit is Fun instead. It’s the best Reddit app on the market, imo, and the free version is what I use.
For me, Reddit is only tolerable after being heavily curated. I've hid a lot of subreddits that I dislike or waste too much time browsing. If you haven't gotten it already, get RES for your browser and if you're an Android user, I like using Reddit is Fun. Now, it's my go-to place for information or when I have a minute with my phone. However, I am keeping an eye out for viable alternatives for information.
Reddit Enhancement Suite is a browser plugin.
The filtering option is easily accessibly by hovering over the link for the subreddit. https://imgur.com/7Sb9gnK
RIF is a little different. I think it's in the three-dot menu for the subreddit to add it to the filter.
I half agree with the above comment but I'm part of team reddit is fun
I use Reddit is fun which is nice. Also nice isSync for reddit
I believe some mobile apps have this feature. I use RiF and I have post notifications on for a few subs.
Unofficial Reddit app for Android. It's really nice.
I'm using Reddit is fun on Android.
Reddit Is Fun (Android), Old Reddit Redirect for chrome, and as always Reddit Enhancement Suite
Le persone introdotte usano reddit is fun
Then yep - there are a number of them available, and you might care to give each one a few days to see which you prefer. I did this, and the one I settled on was "reddit is fun."
I use Reddit is Fun on Android. People like BaconReader or Apollo on iOS.
It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users. I will extend those so they're easier for our sausage fingers to click!
Here is link number 1 - Previous text "RiF"
^Please ^PM ^/u/eganwall ^with ^issues ^or ^feedback! ^| ^Delete
usa RIF che è meglio
Reddit is Fun works fine for me, the only one I've tried though.
It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users. I will extend those so they're easier for our sausage fingers to click!

i think no. RiF for android has its own blockuser feature.
If you want to buy gold for yourself, no.
If you want to gild someone else's post/comment, yes, with Reddit is Fun.
> Android-version 4.4.2
That there is your problem, the current version of the app:
>Requires Android
5.0 and up
You may check out Reddit is Fun for an alternative, but I am not 100% sure what the minimum requirements are for that one since it keeps a wider range of builds live.
If you have android, the reddit is fun app has great multireddit support. If you open the menu, there's a button called multis that lets you see a list of all your multireddits and from what I recall, it's not hard to add a new subreddit to one or remove a subreddit. It's been a while since I've modified mine so I don't remember the exact steps to take, but I know in the past I updated some from my phone.
I've actually never used the official Reddit app because I heard bad things about it when it first came out (then again it was in its early stages). It's not the same, but I've always used Reddit is Fun and find it to be very fast, light, and easy to use. The dark theme is also really easy on the eyes.
^(also the private download folder option is nice for this sub so I can keep my yiff hidden)
I would highly advise using a third-party app. The official app is buggy and lacks many features desktop reddit has, I use reddit is fun, it works great and is much more usable.
If you wish, you can file a bug report regarding the official app in /r/redditmobile.
Spróbuj appki Reddit Is Fun. Przed chwilą przetestowałem na wersji 4.1.33 (pewnie staroć, pewnie były jakieś aktualizacje) i normalnie przeszło poprzez submit -> link.
Kliknij w linki by zobaczyć zrzuty ekranu.
Oh its an Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
If you're on an Android phone, I recommend this app because it loads comments properly.
Reddit is fun for Android.
Reddit is Fun. Try it for a while in Android
Reddit Is Fun
edit: here it is for android
Isiinstaliuok RES. Praktiskai butinas patogiam naudojimui.
Jeigu ketini ant androido reddita ziuret, rekomenduoju Reddit is Fun. Zymiai geresnis negu oficialus appas.
Jeigu bendriau, keletas dalyku:
2. Atsirink subredditus. Daug upvotu nebutinai reiskia, kad tai teisu, tei tereiskia, kad tai patiko tiems kurie ziurejo posta, todel atitinkamai turi lankytis subreddituose kuriouse tiesa patinka - pvz /r/AskHistorians and /r/science, o ne /r/conspiracy.
3. Karma nieko nereiskia, bet tu visvien ziuresi i ta skaiciuka.
4. Perskiatyk subreddito taisykles pries postindamas ir komentuodamas. Sutaupysi tiek savo, tiek moderatoriu nervus.
reddit is fun > all
What app do you use? I use reddit is fun, it's really easy to change flairs and use tags in subreddits. Try it, you may like it.
Or use a different app. I LOVE redditisfun.
Good app with potential.. I'm subbed here to check on the progress I've been luking a lot also and never see the dev around.. what a waste of talent and a good app.. RIF aka Reddit is fun is a good alternative
Edit: use card view better experience in my view
Edit2: what if something happened to the dev? that would be sad.
Edit3: just saw this in another thread dev update 6 months ago
That sucks. Finding one with that function for your platform will reduce a lot of drag. I like reddit is fun for Android. No experience with iPhones.
Found this new app, any of you guys interested in it? An anonymous text messaging app. You post your text message out there and anyone can respond to you, only using their own writing skills.
I've been using it and seems cool so far and was wondering if this is something ENTPs would be interested in? Might be cool to meet some of you guys through there.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
This is the app. It's called 'Reddit is fun'.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Just open the app page, scroll down past the comments and tap "Share".
reddit is fun seems similar to Baconit. You could also try boost, slide, sync, relay, BaconReader, or Joey.
Android users can use redditisfun. I don't know how often it polls... It seemed to vary for me. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I'm considering releasing my app to the play store, but it comes with caveats. Android OS puts the network to sleep after so many minutes of inactivity, which means I need to force the OS to stay 'awake'. This causes significant battery drain. (I also need to make a logo, lol).
The benefit though, it that it's VERY reliable, as you can set your own timer to check. I check every minute.
Edit: added link for redditisfun
Personally, I use reddit is fun on my phone.
Are you using the official reddit one? It doesn't work very well. I recommend Reddit Is Fun, if you are using Android OS.
Ever heard of "Reddit is fun"?
If you're on Android, Reddit is Fun is the only way to fly. Much nicer app.
Reddit is Fun is the best Reddit app I found for Android.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Can't help you with the other one sorry
You're very welcome. :)
Whether or not you can flair posts on mobile depends on what Reddit app you're using. I use Reddit Is Fun, and flairing posts on it is easy (long-press your post, in the resulting menu there is a flair option). If you're using the official Reddit app, I have no idea and you'll have to look at its FAQ.
Yeah recently their free version started to get really aggressive with ads since the fall. iOS especially, its worse on that version.
I suggest getting "reddit is fun" or the official app as an alternative.
> I wrote a long detailed reply on my phone and then accidentally hit the back button and lost it all
Use Reddit Is Fun. You can store drafts of your reply. Very useful for long replies.
Reddit Is Fun is the most user friendly in my opinion.
Reddit Is Fun for Android. Best client I've tried (and I've tried Sync, Relay, the Official Reddit app....)
Reddit is Fun (Android)
I want to say yes, its the "unofficial" app for reddit, sooo I take that as the develop receives the ad revenue, but I could be mistaken. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Are you drunk bot?
Congrats on your success!
I currently use your competitor's app which is free:
I'd be willing to try your app if you offered it on Android with a limited free version (with ads), with the option to have more features unlocked with the paid version (and no ads).
Otherwise I'm not inclined to change over with having to pay $ upfront.
Depends on the app you use, but reddit is fun (may also be a thing on iOS, never checked) has /r/all filtering capabilities similar to RES.
See where it says "unofficial"? Yeah. Not reddit's problem if an unofficial app doesn't support reddit's features.
I can tell you though that a proper mobile web browser can access quarantined subreddits just fine.
Very good Android app, could use some more advanced features like mod stuff, but it's great nontheless.
Just get Reddit Is Fun. That's what I use.
I use Reddit is Fun and love it.
Oh, btw...I just recently started using the Reddit app for reading on my phone. Have you ever tried it?
It's OK, has some issues, but I liked it a lot better than using my browser app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
>I miss Readit on WP
Install reddit is fun on your android device and you will surely love it ... been using it on my MI3 ... baconit on WP is not upto reddit is fun man ... seriously I wish the developers port the reddit is fun to WP ...
I believe it should work on any LG phone that supports dual window. I am unfamiliar with the G4s or G4c, but If they support dual window, then this should work.
If you check the "What's new" section on the reddit is fun app on the play store, you see they listed "LG Dual Window" which should cover all LG phones like I said.
Except, those don't run under Reddit is Fun or most other mobile platforms.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_EN
You won't get the subreddit style but you get a better mobile reddit experience!
Most apps can hide it.
Reddit Is Fun definitely can.
Try reddit is fun:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
That is a really vague question. You'll have to be more specific. There's no "best app", there's "best flashlight app", "best weather widget app", "best puzzle game", "best browser", etc... Reddit is fun is really really nice.
Alternatives include Reddit is Fun (comparatively ugly, but full featured), Flow, Sync, and Slide, among many others (these are the ones I have used personally).
RiF was my go-to before BaconReader. It's the closest I've seen to a usable mobile interface that's (nearly) as powerful as the desktop website.
I've played around with the others a bit, they each seem to have their quirks.
Slide I still have installed on my phone, it's a good backup and has a slick interface for browsing.
~~Sync seems a bit scummy with their ads, they'll actually insert them in-between pictures in an imgur gallery.~~ Edit: It's a setting in Sync for Reddit, not forced. My bad, sorry.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en you'll never look back
Honestly, with some of the devs that are out there, I feel like this is a waste of resources. Reddit would be much better served with adding a bit of scalability and usability to the core infrastructure... mod tools come to mind.
Or, if you feel as though a "mobile app" is really needed (rather than just a better "responsive design" mobile site), maybe you folks should have a bit of "a contest" to which apps work the best, or jive with the community a bit better (though, I also realize this is a bit of a "religious war" for some). And then, once the app is determined, extend an offer to buy existing code/projects off of their designers... or hell, maybe see if they want to come work for you full time (even better if you offer them the equivalent of patent royalties, or similar).
And no... I have no investment in any of the Reddit apps... though my personal preference for phone and tablet is Reddit is Fun on Android.
RIS isn't official, as far as I know, but it is the most popular Reddit browser for Android.
But for the Apple ~~zombies~~ fans, there's also an iOS equivalent with Alien Blue.
In addition to /u/TheMalien 's comment, I've also found that tapping the center of the image seems to make it play sometimes. But only on Reddit is Fun, which I assume this is

Nej, RES finns inte för mobiler. Dock har en del reddit-appar en inbyggd filterfunktion. Jag använder reddit is fun och den har det.

Ah, I see. Thanks again, for the reply!
I've recently made a jump from Reddit is Fun to Reddit News to see what the fuss was about. Apart from minor issues with the search function, there's an obnoxious advert banner at the bottom...
I think I'll consider reinstalling RES.
Oh yeah, fuck the reddit app. It sucks ass. I only ever use it for the chat feature. For browsing reddit I use the Reddit Is Fun app. However, it's only available for Android.
Vahva suositus rif is fun for reddit'lle. Olen jo monta vuotta tuota käyttänyt ja jossain vaiheessa ajattelin ihan mielenkiinnosta kokeilla jotain muita, mutta kaikki tuntuivat olevan todella sekavia ulkoasullisesti.
oce to kad koristis najgoru mogucu app za reddit.
if you're on PC you should install Ublock Origin ad blocker to get rid of the ads.
and if you want more customization try Reddit Enhancement Suite
If you're on mobile try Apollo for Apple or RIF is fun for Android
Are you on Android? I use rif is fun. Its relatively intuitive and minimalist.
It contains ads but phone wide ad blocking with blockada will fix that
For your android,, mate. I have the paid version with no ads
It works with rif is fun for Reddit. Don't recall if you have to purchase the app to access that though.
Yes, simply install a good Reddit app, e.g. reddit is fun (android) or Apollo (iOS)
L'app per me è Rif is fun
Have you tried Reddit Is Fun? You can configure it to require a tap to load the next page.
Firefox on Android can use Ublock. And using the official app or website is just stupid.
Android:
Reddit is Fun
Relay
Boost
Sync
IOS:
Apollo
If you're on Android, check out the rif is fun app. It's a third party app through which you can access reddit. I've been using it for at least 5 years and it's never disappointed me.
Alternative reddit app for iphone https://apolloapp.io/
I'm on android, I use rif. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_US&gl=US
Although, mostly I use desktop old.reddit.com with reddit enhancement suite.
Play Store. I’m on iOS right now but this link should take you to it in the Play Store
They're likely referring to Apollo on iOS. The "Apollo Native for Reddit" app on Android looks like a scam trying to piggyback off the name.
I've been using rif is fun for Android since before Reddit even had an official app. Ads are shown by default but can be disabled in the settings. I'm sure there are other good clients too.
Meine Alternative (kostenlos) ist Reddit is fun: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en&gl=US
uBlock Origin works on most desktop web browsers, and in Firefox for Android. Also takes care of YouTube ads, and so much other crap. Wouldn't be caught online without it.
There are several third party Reddit clients for iOS and Android that either have no ads at all or let you permanently hide them with a setting. I use rif is fun on Android, which is the latter kind.
This comes up so often here that I'm surprised how many people don't know about them.

Hey, u/SpaceManSpifff, thanks for the reply. A lot has changed since 2005: among these changes, video has become pervasive on the Internet. Even while Reddit's soul may not have changed, we want to evolve to meet new users where they are. (Of course, we cherish our old-timers, as well.)
Reddit has a number of thriving third-party applications: Apollo for iOS and Reddit Is Fun for Android, to name two popular ones. We understand that some users prefer these interfaces, and we embrace the innovation that comes from our third-party ecosystem. In fact, our CTO wrote last year about <em>expanding</em> third-party tooling. There will be some exciting updates on that front soon. :-)
If you're on desktop, install the uBlock Origin extension for your browser, that should take care of ads on places like Reddit and YouTube. It also works in Firefox for Android.
On mobile, look into third party Reddit apps. I use rif is fun on Android, which lets you disable ads in its settings. I don't know what the best options are on iOS, but I'm sure someone else here will.
Check out redditisfun:
On Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I use "reddit is fun on my" S8+, much better than the official app. At least for me. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Eyyy, welcome! If you're on Android, I'd recommend the app RiF. Any questions, dont hesitate to ask!
Going to just leave this comment and sticky this here in case these threads pop up more going forward.
Something seems to be broken with the official reddit mobile App which is making our maintained wiki pages inaccessable. This problem does not exist on desktop or if you open Reddit in browser on your phone.
So if you are in need of accessing those pages in the meantime from mobile, do so in mobile browser or from a 3rd party reddit application.
And in a more personal and unoffical cappacity I would personally reccomend an app called RIF for Android users as what I personally use if I need to do mobile browsing, Not sure of the options for IOS but if folks have some good suggestions feel free to drop em for your fellow users.
RIF is stable.
Definitely check out some alternatives. The mobile app is famously bad. I give it a chance every few months but it never gets better. (No offence to the devs, I know they have a great team, I blame higher up capitalistic goals). You'll hear many different opinions on the different options but I've been using rif (RedditIsFun) for years and it's very nice and streamlined experience. It's Android only but I'm sure there are ios equivalents.
>What is redditisfun?
RedditisFun is a third party app used to moderate on the phone. You won't get removal reasons to remove posts but you can approve posts and comments and remove or spam posts. Slideforreddit is an alternative you could use as well. I'd suggest trying different apps and seeing which one you're most comfortable with.
idk. i never see any avatars at all. if people didnt meme it i legit wouldnt have noticed.

Use a better Reddit tool.
On Android, RIF is Fun (used to be Reddit is Fun) has that option.
On PC, get the Reddit Enhancement Suite for any of the major browsers.
Use a better Reddit tool.
On Android, RIF is Fun (used to be Reddit is Fun) has that option.
On PC, get the Reddit Enhancement Suite for any of the major browsers.
You don’t have to get rid of the one you have. Lots of people have more than one account.
Management is easy with RES for chrome or firefox, RIF for Android , or Apollo for iOS.
There may come a day that you’d like to be taken seriously. Automod’s default settings don’t allow posts from brand new accounts.
If you're on mobile, ditch the official app. Use Reddit is Fun or one of the myriad others. Get an ad blocker. Blokada works great and is free.
If you're on a PC, install uBlock Origin and Reddit Enhancement Suite. The latter only works with "old" Reddit, but I can't imagine using the site without it.
It's an Android app that browses Reddit. Kinda like RiF(Reddit is Fun) but with other options added on. Personally I use RiF since it's the least cluttered with no ads (they are on by default but you can turn them off) I've been using it since it used to be the only Android app. but if you want a more customized experience you might want to try Boost
Get the Reddit Enhancement Suite browser extension if you use desktop.
If you mostly browse from mobile, use a decent third-party app; the official one is shite. I highly recommend RiF (which also has a paid version if you like it). Several popular third-party apps have ways to block subs so they stop showing up.
Getting banned from the community won't do anything for you, though it will prevent you from making any more whiny posts like this to bother the rest of us. Communities you're banned from still show up in feeds.
Check out RIF
I totally get that, I'm crazy annoyed by it all too, but I don't think the solution is "other people need to be quiet" when it's about something really important. I think the solution is, as you just mentioned you are doing, to turn it off for a while so you can get a break.
I actually think that certain Reddit apps and plugins that give you the ability to filter out content with keywords that you don't want to see. I've heard that "RedditIsFun" is one of them.
> Maybe a bug in the App?
and water is wet, lol. The third party apps are generally better - I use RiF
RiF Is Fun, for Android.
An alternate Reddit app. [Reddit Is Fun](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en\_US&gl=US)
RIF is Fun is the one you want for that old.reddit/RES feel on mobile.
Use a third party app, so much better than official app. My fav is rif for reddit
RIP
Do you at least have some kind of 2 column mode? It absolutely slaps tits on RIF.
Take a look at the screen shots

I use rif is fun and it works well for videos.
Image gallery support isn't so good though.
The one you linked is for the donation version (I switched to that very quickly), but for others to try, there's a free version of "rif is fun".
Ads are on by default in the free version, but I believe that they can be turned off in the settings, at least that's how it used to be.
I had no problem paying for the donation version, I've been using it exclusively for over 11 years.
Reddit Is Fun'ı dene. [bu](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en&gl=US)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I tweaked a few settings and it's been pretty good for me. I enable the card UI and disabled page dividers.
I can't say I know If there is a better app, if you come across one I'd be happy to try it.
> client like Sync, Boost, or Infinity instead.
RIF is Fun (Formerly known as "Reddit is Fun") is also a good one.
Use a proper app
> Now some might argue that ad-blocking is immoral
We call those people "Ignorant". Its a word that means they eat shit for breakfast.
>alternative Reddit apps
I highly recommend rif is fun for Reddit, it works real good. The name used to be less stupid but the dev had some kind of trademark issue due to having "Reddit" in the name so he had to add more words.
Where is problem? Stop bitchin because there is always alternative.
Do you use old Reddit site?
First, always use https://old.reddit.com

Tbh I use the Reddit is Fun app as i hate the offical app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_GB&gl=US
try using something else
I've heard that Apollo for Reddit is good for Apple devices.
I like RIF is Fun on Android. Infinity for Reddit is also good if you're looking for something a little more stylish.
Maybe try RIF is Fun instead of the official app? It's much better IMO.
I use RIF it's one of the og Reddit apps.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Usa RiF, puedes descargar todo medio de forma nativa (android).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Or use literally anything other than the official client.
Rif is fun is my personal go to choice.
Echt een aanrader voor op de desktop inderdaad. Voor op de telefoon heb je https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
On my phone, reddit is fun (for reddit) Android only though
Here you go buddy: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Yes, this video has sound. If you think it doesn't have sound, it's because you're using the native Reddit app.
If you want to hear videos, delete Reddit. If you're on iOS, get Apollo. If you're on Android, get RIF is Fun for Reddit.
Keep complaining about a lack of sound after this post and you deserve the subpar experience you're choosing.
These do not appear on the reddit is fun app.
Try reddit is fun if you're on android.
At least on android, several people did. My personal favorite is RIF
Absolutely! First off is the app I have used ever since I started on Reddit: Reddit is Fun. Great little for reading posts. I don't use their "cards" layout, but the more minimal layout is perfect for me.
For images/video viewing, I use Slide for Reddit.
But I'm pretty sure these apps can be a good fit for you, too: (I have not used these, but heard good things about them
If you're on android, RIF is your friend.
Care to share a screenshot of what you see? I only use Reddit is fun and the old reddit extension given that the official app and the new design are steaming dog shit, but when I checked with the crappy redesign the link appeared normally.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
The only way to browse mobile reddit. Sorry don't have iPhone link
I am on Android, but I've heard good things about Apollo for iPhone.
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/apollo-for-reddit/id979274575
Aki official appot használ az annyit is ér!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
That's what I've used for reddit on android for years. There's a premium version with no ads, too.
Ek bar ye try kar aur bata
If you're on Android use this RiF
If you're on pc use RES
RIF works great as always.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
On Android try Rif
On iPhone try Apollo.
Note: The app is Called "rif is fun" because they couldn't use "reddit" in their name iirc
I use rif is fun for Reddit on my phone and it does not show profile pics or descriptions either :D
Best (and by far the most fully featured) app is Reddit is fun. No problems with the video player on it.
RES is for desktop. On Android I like "RiF is Fun" which offers the same "hide" functionality.
I use rif is fun.
"rif is fun" (was "Reddit is fun") works for me.
Try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I've used it for a bunch of years. Well maintained, and many features.
People need to ditch the official app.
The third-party apps have been around longer and work so much better.
For Android: RiF is Fun
For iOS: Apollo
The official app is usually the one having the most problems. I like rif is fun on Android. I never have any problems.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en&gl=US
highly recommend that app if your on android. 'Reddit is fun' is the name of it if you prefer searching for it yourself
1) Wait…there’s people who use the official Reddit mobile app?
2) Try using http://old.reddit.com/ or for smartphones Reddit is Fun. It works much better, and it doesn't bug you with worthless broken features.
'rif is fun' is one of the alternate reddit apps on the Play store. I use it myself and would recommend giving it a try.
I mostly use desktop and use old reddit. New Reddit's layout and UI is just awful.
On Android I use reddit is fun which is a god tier app honestly.
Use this, and problems are solved; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Get the Reddit is Fun app, it's waaay better than the dogshit official app.
I unfortunately don't use Android, so I can't replicate the issue you're experiencing with the official Reddit mobile app.
That said, I'd suggest using one of the other Android apps to browse reddit on mobile, such as RedditIsFun, Baconreader, or Sync. They're much better Android apps from what I've heard, and the methods for filtering by flair are much easier.
For example, filtering on Sync only requires the following:
>Tap the 3 horizontal lines in the top left.
>Go down to Settings
>Scroll down a ways to Filters
>Select "Flair Filters" and add the flair you want to filter.
I've been using Rif is Fun for years and I love it. It feels like old Reddit (which is what I'm using here on my desktop, in Firefox, with RES, of course).
Reddit Is Fun, is just an alternative app used to view Reddit on your phone. Just like you can use Chrome or internet Explorer to view the same websites. But one sucks and the other doesn't lol
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I believe the official Reddit app is not very good so it's like internet Explorer in my above example
It's uBlock Origin, not Unlock. Install links for Firefox, Chrome and Edge.
Link for YouTube Vanced.
There are also third party mobile Reddit clients that either don't have ads or let you disable them. I use rif is fun for Android. Don't know what's good on iOS, sorry.
There are some good 3rd party apps. If you are on android REDDIT IS FUN is great.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_US&gl=US
Can’t run Apollo, but RIF is pretty good for Android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Android app that is widely considered the best way to use reddit on mobile. Has pretty much every feature you could ask for.
I'm using RIF and it works perfectly. Just gotta zoom in a lot.
If you're on iOS, try Apollo.
is this the official? I'll try
I'm also on Samsung but yeah reddit's official app is terrible. I can't recommend RiF highly enough, but I've also heard good things about both Boost and Sync as well. RiF was the closest I could find to AlienBlue (my original Reddit experience) when I switched from iOS to Samsung years back, so it's hard for me to break away into something less familiar even if one of those apps would be better for me lol.
But yeah, reddit's app is trash just like their desktop site's newer design. RiF and old.reddit.com are the only acceptable browsers for me because they have easily navigable comment sections. Hell, RiF even has a formatting bar on the keyboard so I can post this nifty formatted link with ease, in case you'd like to check it out. I'm sure I sound like a shill but really I'm just a lazy bastard who is set in his ways lol.
RIF (раньше звался "reddit is fun")
RiF is the first app I ever paid for, it's so good. 10/10 recommend.
Free: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Paid: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.redditdonation
Neither. I've tried all the alternatives, Sync, Relay, Infinity and Boost but RIF - reddit is fun - is my go to now
rif is fun for Reddit (Reddit is Fun) let's you customize it
found your problem: > the mobile reddit app stop using that piece of garbage app, use literally anything else, I use rif is fun: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en&gl=US
tested the audio works fine for this post.
If you have android....
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Try Reddit Is Fun. You can turn off pro features, if you don't use them, and not have any ads.
You can use your mobile phone. Use RedditIsFun or Apollo to. post, both use IMGUR natively.
RIF Is Fun (formerly "Reddit Is Fun", hence the acronym) in dark mode
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
/r/redditisfun

It's an Android Reddit App/Client.
If you're using Reddit on Android but not using RIF, you're missing out.
Freebie: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Golden Platinum: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.redditdonation
Download one of the many third party reddit apps that have filters? I know reddit is fun / rif is fun and Joey on Android have filters (including flair filters).
On iOS I've only used Apollo which does have filtering as well.
So basically, there's no excuse, only laziness and the desire to complain.
I'm using the rif is fun (formerly "Reddit is fun") app because I prefer it to the official one - unfortunately, Reddit's image upload is not available for third-party apps.
(Funnily enough, I thought Reddit's own image hosting was a relatively recent feature - turns out it was around for 5 years already...)
RIF does that.
i always use an ap on mobile. much better
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_AU&gl=US
not sure on apple if you are on the dark side :)
Yay for https://old.reddit.com and third-party mobile viewers, like Reddit is Fun.
Also, I just meant that I use this app to access reddit, so I don't have the full features of the website.
reddit is fun! was my favourite Android reddit app for years. You can give it a try!
Ah, the official one? That would make sense then. I have no idea what it is like or what it might do that the one I use doesn't, but Reddit is Fun doesn't have those issues from what I've seen.
It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users. I will extend those so they're easier for our sausage fingers to click!

The official app is garbage. Reddit is Fun has been around forever and works way better.
If Android, there's no comparison to RIF:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
IMO, it's basically perfect
An infinitely better mobile reddit experience awaits you Rif - reddit is fun
Are you talking about this app? Because it looks like a distinctly different app with a similar name.

I know the rename I'm talking about came about because Reddit mandated that all apps that start with "Reddit" in their name rename to something else. I think this was in preparation of their official app.
Yeah, I use RIF, short for Reddit is fun. Makes submitting a breeze.
Or just use reddit is fun.
[](/sweetiecardbot) Both Reddit Is Fun and Relay for Reddit are two apps I have used that work with BPM. If you really want to see pony emotes when viewing Reddit on a mobile device, either of those apps is good for that.
The catch is that you have to be willing to learn how they work, since I imagine their user interfaces are slightly different from the official Reddit app.
rif (reddit is fun)
Old reddit functions with new reddit layout (arguably, even better)
You can have the option to filter out subreddits you don't wanna see anywhere on front page, popular and all
It's how I keep unfunny trash like r/funny, r/memes and r/adviceanimals off my front page. So fucking annoying.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit (to save your time)
Now kindly, piss off.
(I hope this doesn't come off as a promotion of a product in this sub)
If you've got an Android phone, the reddit is fun app allows you to do so.
For phones, I use RIF is fun I don't see those promoted posts anywhere.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
If you're on PC you can install Reddit Enhancement Suite to filter away submissions (keywords) you don't want to appear.
On mobile there's Reddit is Fun which has some of the same filtering features as RES.
The mobile app from Reddit is garbage, get a 3rd party one. I use rif and sound works fine.

Mein Tip, Reddit is fun. Schön schnell, kompakte Darstellung, keine nervige Werbung.
O app oficial do reddit é uma merda. Eu uso o Reddit is Fun faz anos e não tenho problemas.
Pahoittelut tästä. Mikä sovellus kyseessä? rif is fun sovelluksella toimii minulla.
Reddit is Fun er også en glimrende Reddit app
Try "rif is fun for reddit". It used to be called Reddit is Fun until reddit did their first-party app got grumpy about how third-party apps use the 'reddit' name
Worked fine on the 'reddit is fun' app.
Stop using the official reddit app
rif (reddit is fun) works flawlessly, has easy post filtering options (no more politics mfer) & lets you turn off ads
imo reddit is a garbage website since the redesign and I haven't used anything but rif for years
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Yeah, it's rif is fun for Reddit, made for Android. It is in my opinion the best way to browse Reddit. Even has an AMOLED dark theme. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
The app I use was literally called "Reddit Is Fun" until this month when they renamed it to "RIF is fun".
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
rif is fun has this functionality.
For the sub, I have a chrome addon (Reddit Post Notifier) -- this goes off right away.
For my phone, I use RIF and the "watch for new posts" feature -- there's usually about a minute or two delay here
For site watching, I have Distill monitor on my PC, and Web Alert App on my phone. Both are refreshing specific postings every ~10 seconds (for instance, I was refreshing the Best Buy 3070 search results when I got the notification of the ZOTAC AMP card).
rif is fun has this. I've used it for years https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I'm not a fan of mobile internet, but I believe Apollo is popular if you are on iOS and I have Rif is fun installed on my android phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_GB&gl=US
I have the third party app Rif is fun on my phone and that's what I used for the test. But it also worked in a similar way on the mobile site.
Link to app.

This: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Looks like a common app. I don't know whether it's still widely used but it has many downloads and a decent rating.
I was so close to getting the name right lol. Turns out it's "rif is fun"
Here's an even more useful tip; use a third party app for reddit. The official app sucks and you'll have way more features from a different app. I'm on android and have used reddit is fun for years.
I use RIF (Reddit Is Fun). I like the interface and the tools for modding are pretty good. I also enjoy not seeing ads (I bought an upgrade that removes them). Mostly, though, I just started using it years before the official app came out, so I'm used to it.
However, RIF doesn't have any support for chatting, so I do occasionally use the official app.
Looks like reddit's website for mobile doesn't include the option, so I'm thinking it's possible (or likely) their mobile app also doesn't -- just another reason their mobile app is terrible :/
If you're on their regular website (or on mobile, if you view the comment then select your browser's option for the Desktop Site), there's an option directly underneath the comment to disable inbox replies
Best yet though, since it sounds like you are on mobile: if you happen to be on Android, without any doubt whatsoever you'll love the app reddit is fun... and within that, same concept, one of the options for your comments is to "toggle inbox replies*
I can't suggest a specific app if you're on iOS, sorry, but any mobile app worth its salt should definitely include the option.
Hope that helps!
Use Reddit Is Fun.
It's so much better. Automatically filters out promoted posts, you can filter popular/all to get rid of annoying subs... Oh and also it actually works.
Get a not-shitty reddit app. If Android, no question you want this one
Reddit changes their website but not really their API. If you access it through an app (I use and recommend "Rif is fun"), then you don't notice all the crappy changes that Reddit makes to their web interface.
Its an mobile reddit app just search "reddit is fun" in your app store. It says its ad supported but it only gives little timy ads inbetween the pages of poststhat are barely even noticeable. Its infinitely better than the official reddit app!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
You can do this on some of the mobile apps. It will censor subs in r/all if you ask it to.
I block all the stupid sports feeds and when i go onto r/all it looks like the world has finally evolved! Amazing feeling.

The app changed names Jan 7, 2020. This is an excerpt from the changelog on the play store

I voted early and in person :)
Here's a link, it got renamed a while ago.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en&gl=US
I have used RIF for years. It's great. There's a free version with ads and a paid version without them.
Oh, I thought you were confused, but it turns out I was the one that was confused (because you posted it as a reply to something unrelated, probably).
In that case: it must be something on your end. If I go to /r/tasker this post is the first unpinned post for me. I've tried the old site, the new site, and the app formerly known as "Reddit Is Fun".
I enjoy this one:

I don't know if it's on IOS
RES is Reddit Enhancement Suite, an extension (in chrome, firefox, opera, safari or edge) that adds a lot of improvements to reddit; RIF is Reddit is Fun, a mobile app for viewing reddit.
Here's where to get RES: https://redditenhancementsuite.com/
And here's RIF for android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Reddit ti baca notifikacije? Zašto? Ako imaš njihovu govnjivu aplikaciju razmotri nešto kao rif.
rif is fun (previously Reddit is Fun)
reddit enhancement suite is a browser plugin and doesn't work on mobile. https://www.reddit.com/r/Enhancement/wiki/support#wiki_mobile_devices
There are apps that support this features tho. RIF (reddit is fun) for example allows content filtering by title, flair, sub etc.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Download reddit is fun. Filter out this list
If you're using a browser you should be using Reddit Enhancement Suite, and if you're on mobile you should be using RedditIsFun or similar app.
Those give you the experience that reddit is too dumb to give you on their own.
Bookmarks? And also, I use this.
Never head of them.
I just use old reddit on desktop, and rif on my phone.

Fantastic app, and the developer is conaistently making improvements. The free version is full-featured but it's well worth the cost of the paid version to support the dev.

SUBREDDIT ISSUES
Hi! There have been reports that accessing the subreddit wiki links above on the Official Reddit App on Android devices leads to a "Page not Found" error. This has also been reported over at r/redditmobile
We suggest opening reddit via your mobile browser or desktop browser for the meantime until they officially provide a fix. You can also try unofficial reddit apps (like redditisfun), but do so at your own discretion.
La app de Reddit es una mierda. Pasate a Reddit Is Fun.
Na telefonie też można. Aplikacja rif is fun do reddita ma taką opcję (android).
Reddit Is Fun is a good Reddit app.
Downside, it doesn't do Reddit Gold. They wanted to and Reddit disallowed 3rd party apps from doing so.
Don't listen to any of these people. Use reddit is fun
This is the best one.
Ist z.B. mit rif is fun kein Problem.
Reddit Is Fun users IN DA HOOOOOOOOUSE!!!

I use RIF. Crossposts have a little "Share" icon by the sub name under the post title. And when you bring up the post menu, one of the options is "View Original at ."
Check out the app "rif - reddit is fun"

RIF on Android does this natively

That's crazy. Now let me change your life for the better -- get these!:
Reddit is fun (so much better reddit app -- and ultimately, maybe support the developer with a few bucks for the paid version, but of course try this fully-functional free one out first)
Blokada (ad-blocking across the entire phone)
Are you on android? If so RIF is the app I would recommend to use.
If you don't trust a reddit link just search "RIF" on the app store. I've used it for like 6-7 years, love it.
You can cross post in RIF, if cross posting is your thing.
It's an option on just about every mobile Reddit app I have seen. If your app doesn't have it, I suggest using one that does. Both Reddit is Fun and Relay support comment order, the option is near the top in both.

It's also an option on the mobile version of the website, again near the top.

You must be not using RES or something. Why do people do that?
You need 4 things to enjoy Reddit properly:
Bonus: Use a pi-hole or other DNS ad blocker like nextdns to block ads on your phone apps too.
If you aren't doing these 4 or 5 simple steps, you aren't doing reddit right and you should just delete your account and go join facebook or something.
Reddit is Fun on mobile already has this. It's amazing.
Ez valami kapitalista official Reddit mobil app lehet, én a Reddit is Fun-t használom.
RIF was renamed to 'RIF is fun for reddit' due to trademark issues.
You can find most of it with this link bookmarked: https://www.reddit.com/r/BABYMETAL/wiki/index
If you're on an Android phone, the <strong>rif</strong> app is widely used (I use it) and it provides an ⓘ icon which brings up a subreddit's entire sidebar.
Best reddit app and gfycat view support built-in.

ImgurViewer. Simple app that views gifs/video from Imgur, Gfycat, etc.
Are you new to reddit? Be welcome! It's a little overwhelming at first, but don't worry, soon you get the hang of it.
>The posts on here don't seem to follow a chronological sequence.
It is possible to sort comments in chronological order, but by default they appear in order of most votes. Reddit works through a system called "karma", you can vote positive or negative on each post and comment, and so the website will rank itself giving more visibility to the most upvoted posts.
Another detail is that karma also affects you. Since your account is new, you may not be able to post to certain communities because you don't have enough karma. Moderators do this to filter out trolls and spammers. Keep using the website and commenting to increase your karma level. After you accumulate some points (about 30 upvotes), karma is no longer a problem, you can post wherever you want.
>What do the grey lines on the left of the page mean
These are the lines that delimit the thread. Don't worry, they're just there to offer a visual guide and identify who's answering who. In small threads like this one it doesn't make much sense, but some posts can add up to 2000 comments, so in these cases they are useful.
I recommend downloading the reddit is fun app, in my opinion it is the easiest way to get familiar with the website. Reddit is highly customizable, so each community looks different, and it can be very confusing. In the app there is no such problem, as it offers the same appearance for everything. Also, it's easier to understand the karma system, the upvote and downvote buttons are very apparent.
If you still have any questions, feel free to visit r/NewToReddit and ask for help. You can also read a Reddit 101 by clicking here.
Cheers!
> Don't you love the Reddit app
Reddit is Fun > official Reddit App
It used to be called reddit is fun but reddit made them change their name, so now it's RIF is fun, or RIFIF for short.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=de
A much better client after you getting used to it. There is a premium variant too that had no ads. You can ban whole subreddits or filter titles with specific key words from showing up in r/popular (I did that with "Sanders" during the democrat primaries and r/unpopularopinion)
True, have you tried Reddit is Fun?
i use this one. tried alot of apps, and this one is the only i could find that was easy to read and navigate around it
Forgive me they changed the name https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Guys ,I get alot of messages about not having sound in Gifs, Guys there is sound in every gifs posted here , only thing is official reddit app doesn't allow to play the sound in Gifs , it's works fine on reddit website, guys for mobile you can use reddit alternative app like 1: Reddit is Fun (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit) 2. I use RiF Reddit is Fun
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
If you're on Android Reddit is Fun is so much better than the official app. I don't know about any alternative apps for iphone though.
Tons of 3rd party apps that are highly rated. I currently use the app rif is Fun for Reddit (used to be simply "Reddit is Fun" but anything that starts with "Reddit" was forced to change)
Now I just see an empty line that says something like "the ad was removed by rif"
I see, no one mentioned Reddit is fun. I've been using it for years.
Ditch the official reddit app.
Use this instead

RE: Apollo. Reddit is fun is the most similar imo.

The official reddit app (for android at least) is kinda crappy, so many people use instead 3rd party apps to browse reddit on mobile. The one I used to use was Reddit is fun, but there are others.

Da kannst Du mobil auch die Thumbnails abschalten wenn Du da sparen willst. Ansonsten ist Reddit ja nur Text.
Ansonsten guck Dir mal einen Werbeblocker wie z.B. Blokada (https://blokada.org/index.html) an. Das zehrt ja auch an Deinem Volumen. Das müsstest Du Du allerdings von Hand bzw. über F-Droid installieren (https://f-droid.org/packages/org.blokada.alarm/).
Since you use Firefox on Android, you can just install the old Reddit redirect extension I linked on the mobile version as well then.
RiF is a 3rd party Reddit app that I find really good. High text to screen ratio.
Anyway - I added an old Reddit link to this bot's comments, so hopefully the feature request is satisfied either way :)
Try, reddit is fun, it downloaded properly for me

Damn! Didn't know about this.
To anyone who browses reddit on their phone (like I often do) I recommend reddit is fun. It creates a link to the poll that opens in a browser and has other nice QoL features.
All good, the official app makes me queasy, I'd recommended RIF is Fun for Reddit

Hallo!
Meine Bitcoin-Adresse (BTC Wallet) lautet: XXXXXX
Ahh ok, that makes sense. I don't use Gmail but checked the app and sure enough it is white. I don't use Chrome either, but Firefox doesn't have a native dark theme yet other than Private tabs. Also don't use Calendar.
For Reddit, I use RIF is fun for Reddit with its black theme.
For YouTube, I use NewPipe. For a native experience, check out YouTube Vanced with microG. It has a few theme varieties, does not have ads, and a few other "premium" features. Think of it as a "cracked" YouTube app.
i use reddit is fun. it's cleaner, loads faster and just better. ads are optional too
Reddit is fun premium. You don't get reddit ads, and it looks more like old reddit. Overall better IMO

Reddit official app is pretty terrible.
Рекомендую неофициальный клиент RIF (Reddit is fun), на официальный клиент многие жалуются

Использую много лет. Никаких проблем. Даже тёмная тема есть для любителей
I use reddit is fun https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Download reddit is fun app & you will never get Rick rolled ever again. Link
check this app
Its even worse. The google play store lists it as 'rif is fun for Reddit'.
Reddit is fun is fun for Reddit.
Yes, rif is fun for Reddit works perfectly, and normally works through Reddit outages too. It has ads but if you pay like $5 for the platinum version it gets rid of them. I pay for Reddit currently, though, so I'm annoyed that the official Reddit app always has so many issues compared to third party apps.
you should have a look at the rif - is fun for reddit app, this is actually what reddit should have done with there app but are unable because reasons.
Walk this way my friend...I have an excellent app to recommend -
This is the link to the free (ad supported) rif for reddit (formerly 'reddit is fun' app) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
It's the closest to the old desktop experience, is constantly supported, they have a sub where the dev and users help people with problems, and if you like the free version then the paid version for just over 3 quid is a steal. I'm not paid or affiliated in any way btw, I'm just a long term user who is wed to the app.
Now, image hosting is done via imgur if sharing direct from phone or you can have your separate imgur account and share that way, given you post photos, that might be a consideration. (You can delist photos on the imgur side so they don't go into the imgur feeds).
And it's rare that rif gives double posting issues, usually only when reddit itself is having problems
Reddit official app is garbage.
I'm on the *reddit if fun app*. Way better for browsing. When i post videos, i use the official app. Otherwise this is the best option.
~~All~~ these features are available easily. check it out
quick queston, are you on Android? and if so are you using Reddit's official app? if so I have a suggestion. this app in my personal experience is vastly superior to Reddit's official app, if you frequently use reddit on mobile it is a godsend.
Suggesting it not to shill for the app itself, but because recently I was stuck on mobile only and tested out several different mobile apps to moderate on mobile and this was by far the best one.
Don't use Reddit mobile use an app. I've been using Reddit is Fun for years.
If you're on Android there's a formatting bar built into Redditisfun.
Otherwise you can read about it here.
Worth trying an alternative to the official Reddit app. Many people prefer to use Reddit is fun, Joey or Boost.
I like the last one best - see if one of those makes things better?

I used the "Reddit is Fun" app while being logged out of Reddit, because you claimed "invisible for logged out mobile users".
Check out reddit is fun if your on Android. It's super minimalistic, loads links in a sandboxed browser and handles imgur well (if you disable cards in settings). It's basically old reddit but for your phone
The reddit is fun app automatically has audio for all imgur links!
If you want the closest experience to Reddit enhancement suite on desktop, then Reddit Is Fun is the way to go.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
If you're on Android I'd recommend Reddit is Fun. Simple, easy to use, everything you need and nothing you don't.
If you're on iOS, there's fewer options available but I'd recommend Narwhal. It seems to be liked by many Redditors.
I use Reddit is fun and it works well for me!
I use RIF (Reddit is Fun) app, it works well to move from comment threads, give it a try.. link

RiF. It's a different user interface for Reddit.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
If you're using the website, there is a browser addon called Reddit Enhancement Suite which allows you to filter posts based on subreddit, flair, keywords, etc
On Android, the reddit is fun app also has a similar feature.
I'm not sure about iPhone apps
I've been using Reddit is Fun for a long time and am quite happy with it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
The official app is shit. I don't even use it but I know how awful it must be due to how many times it begs me to use it when I dare to view the site within a browser.
Use redddit is fun or any other third party app that suits your needs
Reddit is fun Bruh
questa? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit è la prima che esce se cerco Alien Blue.
The official app is the worst way to experience Reddit. Ever notice how people preface their posts with, "Sorry for the formatting, I'm on mobile?" Yeah. Unofficial apps were around for years before Reddit threw one together, and they're more mature and have unique takes on how to use Reddit. I use RiF, but Boost, Sync, and Relay also seem to be very popular.
It's an app.
It's just a little harder to get access because of the quarantine. Here's the troubleshooting guide we drew up:
Since you just got downvoted instead of being answered, here.
On android use Reddit is Fun, on iOS use Apollo.
Nope, I'm on Android. This should take you there https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I use Reddit Is Fun, but some of the features have been nerfed by the redesign - most notably giving gold or coins as it's known now. Still, you can filter content, I've had no issues with saved posts or my profile, just a clean interface
r/redditisfun/
I have also used Bacon Reader. I found it better for the tablet layout, but I can't figure out why. There is a pro version now... don't know if its worth it
r/baconreader
I have not used Boost, but heard good things about it.
r/BoostForReddit
I cannot vouch for any of the other apps.
As I said before, report a bug for the official app.
Why not reddit is fun?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Reddit is Fun for Android.
Yes and I'd highly recommend them to, well, literally everyone. Most of these were around way longer than the official app and actually do what users want.
reddit is fun
edit: google play link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
"rif" is wayyyy waayy better!
Ah! No worries my friend, "Reddit is Fun!" has the same(-ish?) features!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Unfortunately I cannot link/suggest one for iOS as I'm an android basic bitch. If you have iOS I ~~pity you~~ found some results on reddit suggesting "narwhal" (from here) :)
Just chiming in:
Sync is a great app and I highly recommend it. Other good apps are Reddit is Fun (my choice) and Relay for Reddit.
А еще лучше пожалейте свой мозг и поставьте reddit is fun (хотя, конечно, предпочтения у всех свои)
Ew. Reddit Is Fun.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
That's the free version, but I happily paid for the ad free version. Much better experience, IMO.
Well, according to Google Play, Reddit is Fun has 5,000,000+ installs.
So, dozens is correct... 416,667 dozen.
I really only ever browse reddit on desktop but reddit is fun seems to be universally recommended as a far superior alternative to the official app.
Reddit is Fun is, IMO, the best Reddit app for android devices, including the Kindle Fire.
/u/edemac, if you haven't already, here are instructions on how to side-load Google's services and Play Store.
And here is RiF on the Play Store.
Enjoy, OP!
Or any other 3rd party app for that matter:
(Google play links only cause I don't have an IOS device)
Reddit is fun (haven't tried but seems kinda popular, also has a paid adless version(3,29€))
Relay (never heard also adless paid version (2,99€), r/relayforreddit)
Sync (says it's optimized for r/soccer; dunno what that means, adless for 2,99€ r/redditsync)
Joey (highest rated at 4,9, says it's optimized (quite light and basic optimizations by the looks of it) for r/science, r/askscience and r/lifeprotips. Also a bit more optimized for r/iama. Seems kinda nice, might have to give it a try myself. Dev: u\/codesforliving)
Boost (this is the one I'm using, I just chose it cause someone linked it and the app itself doesn't seem to really matter as long as it's not the official one. Biggest complaint is imgur albums not loading completely. Otherwise seems pretty good)
...And a lot more but they all seem to have low (under 4,6) ratings.
Also, for u/mondo_montage the problem is probably that the copying doesn't work not that the pasting doesn't work which means the app is probably the one to blame.
+1 here for Reddit Is Fun.
I highly recommend Reddit Is Fun for Android users as it auto-mutes first and also way better than the official app.
Try reddit is fun – works excellent for me, always has, always will!
I'm a big fan of "Reddit is Fun" on Android. I did buy the "golden platinum" version a long time ago, so I can't speak to the free version recently, but I put it in Night mode all the time and I really like it.
The mobile app is cancer. I post this every time someone mentions it.
On Android, I recommend using RedditIsFun
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_US
On apple, I’d recommend Apollo
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/apollo-for-reddit/id979274575?mt=8
Reddit Is Fun links to subs.
I'm on my cell, but I will be back with a link to RIF.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Well, you could use reddit is fun. None of that here. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Have you tried Reddit is Fun? It's the app I use on Android.

You need to look at the wiki and RMOMI on mobile using apps - you will weep.
to make it accessible will need a mass redesign and approach. It's not clear what will happen in future as presently mobile formats are a mix of data from old and new reddit styles.
You will need to look at it in the official reddit app.
Others apps such as bacon reader and reddit is fun just ignore any auxiliary pages.
most mobile apps dont even allow you to get to RBOMI AT ALL. you caN get to just using bacon but its ... ermm ... un-navigable.
given that the majority of users on reddit use mobile .... it may need a rethink.
I've been using this one and it's a godsend. After a little bit of customizing and getting used to, it is just as good!
Here's a link to <strong>Autorefreshing Reddit Comments</strong> and a link to the <strong>Official RL Discord</strong>.
If you are on the official reddit app and this thread doesn't display tables etc. properly please view this thread in your browser or consider switching to the <strong>"Reddit is fun"</strong> app for android because it's the best reddit app.
Here are links to the Post-Match Discussions Threads (include game scores and stats):
Honestly do yourself a favour and use RedditIsFun instead
I use narwhal on my work phone (iPhone) and it's super easy to use. My personal phone (LG) has reddit is fun and it's perfect (to me).
Just an FYI - Reddit is Fun app for phone and browser extension on pc is brilliant. Only way to use Reddit imo.
From the sidebar:
https://www.reddit.com/r/EndlessFrontier/wiki/guides
Also, you might look into going into setting your preferences to something more like this
Also, if you use firefox or chrome, install RES. Helps.
I personally use the reddit is fun app on mobile, although boost for reddit is pretty damn good too.
Get a 3rd party client like Reddit is Fun or Slide, they do a great job of making it clear which posts are ads so they don't get in your way. They also have more features than the standard Reddit app, and run more smoothly with less clutter.
Does your mobile app not have a "Mark all read" button in your inbox? If not you should switch to Reddit Is Fun (assuming you have an Android; I'm not sure if they have an IOS client).
That is an excellent question. I have been using this (link below, not embedded) since it launched. Need to buy Pro, now that I think of it - the free version is plenty good enough, though.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_US (Reddit is Fun)
There are lots of apps for Reddit and one of them is reddit is fun
I think he might be using a chromecast. I use it sometimes with reddit is fun, works pretty good.
In that case, I recommend reddit is fun. Been using it for a long time on Android and I've never had a reason to try anything else.
The sidebar is accessible via the three-dot menu in the top right.
Reddit Is Fun and Joey are the best for Android IMO.
RES is a must for PC. It has quite steep learning curve, so I recommend checking out /r/Enhancement to start. It's very powerful once you get used to it.
Reddit is fun premium was the first app to ask me for consent (via a mopub dialog) today. Try the free beta version to see it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
use "reddit is fun"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en_US
I don't think its ever asked me for a permission. Its the best reddit app on the market for android, if I may say so.
Yep, they're actually working on a redesign so everything is bullshit right now.
I use reddit is fun and have for years. It's clean, easy, and they have a paid version that has no ads.
There's also a browser extension called Reddit Enhancement Suite (or RES) that I believe is essential for anyone who really gets into reddit. It allows you to filter out posts by word or subreddit, tag users with your own private flair, keep track of how many upvotes or downvotes you've given a user, and a bunch of other stuff that I haven't really messed around with. It's completely free and is available for pretty much every PC browser.
Dude, just use reddit is fun! It doesn't display the ads and it has had a dark mode for years.
reddit is fun is still the best app.
yeah, and I think OP was actually replying to me
I use RiF app and it works perfectly, no such issues.
This is why I never switched from RIF to the official app. Things you want are in RIF
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
Is this the official one? its got unofficial written in bracs but its the only one in play store.
I use Reddit Is Fun
If you can look at the screen and have internet, <strong>Reddit Is Fun</strong>, and TED. Pick a topic and dive into hundreds of potentially interesting talks.
If you can look at the screen and don't have the internet, Moon Reader. Can handle almost any format, even comics.
If you can't look at the screen and have internet, Spotify. Just remember to create playlists beforehand if you're not a paying member.
If you can't look at the screen and don't have the internet,Smart Audiobook Player. Probably not the best for audiobooks (certainly the UI could use a rework), but it was the first I've found with decent options (like a 20 minute snooze thing, so if you fall asleep you don't miss half an audiobook).
The Reddit is Fun app is a great alternative if you don't like the official Reddit app.
I'd recommend Reddit is Fun. Tried numerous others such as Apollo, Narwhal, and the official app, but none of them come close personally. Loads snappily, best options for compact viewing. Reminds me of a streamlined version of reddit on a desktop.
Reddit is fun , bacon reader, sync and probably lots more
They work on reddit is fun
Read and learn. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
Best feature is it's AMOLED mode.
Usa Reddit Is Fun. En mi opinión le da cuatro palos a la aplicación oficial.
If you're using the desktop version, you need to enable the subreddit style. On mobile, only Reddit is fun is able to interact with these spoiler tags as far as I know.
On Reddit Is Fun, I don't have to download it.
Here's a nickel, kid. Get yourself a better app.
Reddit is Fun: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
What the reddit app should be.

First pro tip - get RedditIsFun
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
Its the best app for reddit. As for your currnet app, cant help anymore, just try clicking around and long pressing on things
Ich hab die als erstes ausprobiert und wollte noch nie was anderes. Im Grunde ist es wie die Website.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Enjoy. Also you might want to disable list animations. I never liked them.
Sorry, Reddit is Fun Android app.
It's the Reddit is fun app
Yeah, has to be an issue with the official app.
Could try alternatives: Reddit is Fun android app etc.
Reddit is fun! also you can set it that what ever subreddit you want when every it gets a new post there is an icon in your notifications that shows an r swipe down and you find the subreddit and click and go to it. Its amazing.
Edit: check it out. More pictures in this link
I use Reddit is Fun, found it quite good
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I know the name is a bit .... childish:D
Not OP, but reddit is fun is a great one. I paid for the premium version.
I'd also suggest Reddit is Fun.
Hmm interesting. I don't use the default Reddit app because its a bit crappy.
Check out Reddit is Fun. Its what I use, and the search worked properly for that.
I have zero idea what it does since I don't have a mobile.
If you use Android I would suggest checking out Reddit is Fun.
Reddit is fun for Android.
Thanks op!
Cara, se você tiver android, baixa o Reddit Is Fun, só clicar aqui. É bem melhor que o APP oficial!
E dá uma olhada nesse guia para iniciantes no Reddit também, tem umas dicas maneiras.
<strong>reddit is fun</strong> is my go-to for my primary account. It's a browser/pc-like experience and great if you're doing more than just browsing media.
<strong>slide</strong> is my 'throwaway' client for media.
<strong>RedReader</strong> is my favorite mix in-between the two, but it's missing the ability to add/remove friends.
A lot of users do, it's fine
I recommend Reddit is Fun: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
commonly abbreviated as RIF
If it's on Android use this app instead. Reddit was super slow to get on mobile and the official app is garbage. I've been using RIF for years, much better than the default. Just be sure to go to themes and turn on dark mode.
Not on all mobile. I'd recommend Reddit is fun for Android, no idea for Apple.
Just use reddit is fun app instead. it's so much better
No, "reddit is fun" is another unofficial app, with less obtrusive advertising than BaconReader. I found its interface more intuitive than the official app.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Just use reddit is fun. It's much better.
Avec Reddit is fun
I use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=vi Better than the offical reddit app.
Why are you using the garbage official app?
Jesus Christ people I don't mean to be a dick but how hard is it to download an app? The browser version sucks in so many different ways just make your life 10 times easier and go to this link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
Reddit was really slow to the ball for making their mobile app so it's pretty finicky. I can't recommend enough that mobile users switch to RedditIsFun and turn on dark mode. I've heard Narwhal is the best iOS alternative, but I've never tried it myself.
I don't know what mobile app you're using, but I highly recommend switching to RedditIsFun and putting darkmode on. The reddit admins have been slow to the ball with their mobile version and this app is leagues better than the official version.
I'll edit the comment to add that info.
I thought that the mobile clients could see the sidebars now. I can see them with RiF on android
Reddit is fun, Reddit app that I use.
Memrise, An app to learn new language.
IFTTT, Automate stuff on your phone.
Reddit is Fun is amazing. Never had a problem.
I use reddit is fun. Only got the official app for the free gold. No idea what iOS have. When I do get linked to reddit on other stuffs, like LINE though, it will open the mobile site. I can probably set it to open in RIF, but lazy.
reddit is fun it's the best app on android
It's really hard to recommend something with just one image. The chrome is pushing the relevant part (content) far down the window. There is definitely too much going on the top part of presented screen.
Personally I like how reddit is fun app is dealing with sorting. Maybe this reference will help you.
If anybody uses an Android device and doesn't know already, give redditisfun a try.
It has a dedicated sub: /r/redditisfun
> Anyone know of a way to use the frontage filter on mobile?
Apple, Android, or..?
reddit is fun has 'post filters'.
Res doesn't officially support android versions of firefox. For android, I use "reddit is fun" I too need the dark themes, It's on the google play store.
Already got it here
No soy programador pero uso Reddit Is Fun. Con el tema oscuro va como piña.
rif is the first reddit app I ever used and it felt cluttered and didn't have the modern material feel to the app. I also like the comutnity of slide for reddit that users can post their opinions and requests into the subreddit /r/slideforreddit and get responses and updates that they want. Also Slide for reddit had synccit(it is also in rif) which is the biggest reason I don't use the app relay for reddit.
tl;dr Slide for reddit is the best.
Just a heads up - if you aren't using Reddit Enhancement Suite- do so - it makes Reddit so much better.
And for mobile, I recommend Reddit Is Fun over the official app any day - better made, easier on the eyes.
True that. I only have experience with Reddit Is Fun which has a filtering option, but I've been told there's other unofficial apps as well.
Could I attempt to recommend Reddit is Fun for Android? Very simple interface with no crap.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
BaconReader used to be one of the best out there. Sadly, it seems to have been neglected as of late. Outside of that, Reddit Is Fun, Sync, and Relay are all pretty good.
Each of those links are to the free versions, but they all have a pro version as well. NOTE: If you try one of the free versions and decide you want to purchase the pro version, DON'T purchase it within the app. Android has long had a problem of "losing" your purchase and suddenly ads start to appear again, even though you've paid to remove them. If you purchase the pro version directly from the Play Store instead of purchasing within the app, this doesn't seem to happen.
Settings > Content filters > Post filters > + > filter (keyword), subreddit, filter type (title, flair, subreddit, URL)
Bv, voor sinterklaas: filter = sinterklaas, subreddit = thenetherlands / (all subreddits), filter type = flair.
no.... when I said reddit is fun I meant reddit is fun
Mobile, using RIF, as they layout is easier to use than on PC, at least for me.
Multi-reddits, it's like a subreddit but with other subreddits as content. I don't know if you can create them on desktop but on mobile (RIF) you can.
I have no issues using the reddit is fun mobile app.
Yeah, but I use Reddit is Fun for my phone as well and haven't had problems with the reddits markdown system.
Can you see the link I made above? or does it show up as [Text](source)?
Hmm, just downloaded it to check it out, it should look like this.
From there, you click on whichever kind of post you would like to post, pick a title, and put the link/type the post/etc.
EDIT: Also, I personally use the reddit is fun app if you wanna try that one out instead!
Best on Android that I've found are: - reddit is fun - Boost - Relay
Flow used to be good too but I think development has stopped since it hasn't been updated in over a year. I was using Relay for a while but I kept having issues so I switched to reddit is fun, which has the most features. But the ui is nothing exciting. Just came across Boost recently and it's a little more exciting than reddit is fun.
I was not aware that the posts from the SpaceX groups are public when I posted that.
I tried it just now: when I try to go to the Facebook post from Reddit in my mobile app (Reddit is Fun), I see a Facebook error page Screenshot (in dutch).
I'm not sure if that is due to a Facebook thing, or some kind of bug in the Reddit is Fun app, but...
EDIT: translation of the error message:
> This content is not available at the moment. We have added extra security features, which require that you log in to Facebook to view this page in Belgium.
What terrible app are you using? Download reddit is fun
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
Do you use the official Reddit app? If yes, there are better ones out there like reddit is fun or Sync. And even so, for image uploads, I recommend using Imgur over the native Reddit image uploader.
There's your problem.
Use RIF, which is imo the best way to browse reddit on your phone. Replies and stuff will come up as normal phone notifications.
I'm using the official one at the minute. They've improved it a lot. I did use reddit is fun, which was quite good but intermittently unstable. I see they have a higher rating and recent updates, must try it again.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
On the reddit is fun app, just tap the gif and you'll see the length. You can also pause rewind and forward.
Android and I opened it in the "reddit is fun" app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=de
As does Reddit is Fun (Android)
I'm on reddit is fun. I do miss Casual Subs though from Slide :(
I use reddit is fun . I like it . I have not tried other apps.
Get the Reddit Enhancement Suite for your browser if you don't have it already. When you're browsing /r/all and you hover over the name of a subbreddit on a post, it gives you the option to filter out subreddits you're not interested in.
However, I primarily browse Reddit on my phone using the Reddit is Fun Android app which also gives you the option to filter out subreddits.
Check out /r/redditisfun while you're at it.
I've been using Reddit is Fun for a long time and it has filtering. Some other apps might have it too.
Use Reddit is Fun(com.andrewshu.android.reddit) it's so much better.
says incompatible with my nexus 5 running the newest android, so... Reddit is still fun for me.
reddit is fun. I've used it for a while and am really happy with it. You can see flair and edit post flair, but I haven't found a way to change profile flair for specific subreddits.
If you're on Android the "reddit is fun" app works great.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
I more prefer Reddit is Fun
Use Redditisfun bro. I strongly believe it is the best mobile Reddit app on the market.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
i guess its unofficial, this baddy works well though.
"Reddit is Fun"
I also use this.
Here's a link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Reddit is Fun allows filtering subreddits, as well as keywords, flairs, and domains.
Same with reddit is fun, hence my comment :-)
I would suggest a mobile app if that's an issue. I don't think Reddit mobile supports PM's.
I prefer Reddit is Fun if you use Android or BaconReader if you use iOS.
Um, pretty sure he's talking about the app. And yup, I'd recommend it as well.
reddit is fun is 90% of where I consume reddit. Skinnable, works really well, simple interface. Prettier than Reddit's default UI, but who uses that anyway? ;D I feel like I've watched Android "grow up" if you know what I mean. It's come a long way.
Also, Apollo used to be my main music player until I bought a new phone and didn't flash CM, so I tried RocketPlayer again and was surprised by the updates. I believe that RocketPlayer had been discontinued a few years ago (you can even still go back to the ugly "classic" skin if you want lol), but the same developer picked it back up and revamped it. ^.^
Ok, study for your test, no problem at all :).
About the complements, I'll link bellow the complements I use for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox - and the two apps for my phone. All of them have in the settings ways to manage the notifications.
In Chrome an Firefox they usually apear in the upper right, next to the URL bar, in an icon (which is the complement icon). - Both have a setting so the notifications don't play a sound.
The app's notification work the same as normal phone's notifications.
Chrome Extension - Reddit Notifier
Firefox Addon - Reddit Notifier
Play Store - Reddit is Fun
Playstore - Reddit Mail - (this one acts like a back up for the other, actually).
Take a look at them when you have the time. There are many others complements/apps, either for browsers or phones (be it Android or iOS).

Thanks for double checking. You can verify your opt-in status:
Your tablet should get the new APK, but you can visit the page directly to see if Google Play's auto update isn't working for some reason: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit

Baconreader
Reddit is fun
There's more if you look.
Looks like Reddit is Fun
I switched from baconreader to reddit is fun. Doesn't have that problem.
The "Reddit is Fun" Android app also has support for multireddits. I use it for a multireddit I created for myself, and I like it.
Good thing I use reddit is fun.
Hmmm I use Reddit is Fun on my Android. It hasn't let me down yet.
Edit* Link to the app if you're interested. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Reddit is fun is the one I use. I've had next to no issues on Galaxy S3 or S6
Reddit is Fun is the equivalent android app.
Ohh fair enough. I like Reddit is Fun the most as far as Android goes :)
Pro tip: there is an App called "Reddit is fun", it's perfect ;)!
You'll love the phone. I had the M8 but came to iOS for a while. Here's a good android/reddit app.

If you use an Android device, I would recommend using the "reddit is fun" app.
Then get the Reddit is Fun app if you have Android. It lets you have a preview of what link you clicked on like so.
I'm on my phone too!
I recommend the app reddit is fun, it has a save feature, but most other good apps have one too.
Same here. I prefer reading Reddit on my smartphone. I use the app reddit is fun
Oh and if you're on this site, then Reddit is Fun is for you!
(Android only)
Light Flow - only for those who have a notification LED (also worth paying for)
T-Mobile Visual Voicemail (only if you use T-Mobile. Also the speech-to-text feature can be turned off, making it a great, free voicemail client)
If you like rooting/custom ROMs:
DEEP DARKNESS - My favourite CM12 theme, which makes my overall Tron appearance look pretty good
Not really sure how to do it through a mobile browser. I recommend getting a reddit browsing app. If you're on android, install 'Reddit Is Fun' from the Play store. There are others to choose from, but this is the one I'm familiar with and wouldn't know if the other ones are particularly better or not.
Sorry, I just realized I probably should link you: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit
Shoutout for reddit is fun app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
reddit is fun First things first, you'll need to get a reddit app. I use "reddit is fun", though there are many other options which I hear are also good, this is just my preference, and the free version is great. It maintains the look-and-feel of the Reddit website quite well.
AVG AntiVirus. I use the basic free version, which has very minimal ads. Most of the time you won't even see the ads because it runs in the background. To be honest, I don't know how well it's protecting my phone, but at least the placebo effect is working. Scans all newly installed apps and updates. Paid version has additional features.
The default Android web browser is fine for basic browsing, but if you get the Chrome Browser you'll be able to sync bookmarks with your desktop browser, which is very handy. It's also getting better and better with each update.
Google Keep is a must in my view. Let's you add quick notes and lists (it's my primary shopping list app) and it syncs across your devices.
Google Authenticator is an indispensable tool. It allows you to set up a more secure 2-factor authentication for websites that support it (e.g. email)
Solid Explorer is a great file explorer. The native app on Android is lacking in terms of network connectivity and looks. This is one of the few apps I've actually paid for and it's awesome, especially for transferring files to your phone over your home network. The price is pretty good too. You can download the basic (free) app, and if you choose to get the full beans, then you purchase a separate download which is the Unlocker
Barcode Scanner This tool lets you scan both traditional barcodes as well as QR codes. Was actually recommended by Google when I installed Google Authenticator as a method to load the authentication keys.
SoundHound This little app is pretty good at finding the name of that song you are listening to... I've been pretty amazed a few times how good it was at finding a song based only on my terrible humming. Other times... not so much. Comes with ads, but at least they are for music.
Just some last advice: Avoid the temptation to download every free game that crosses your path, otherwise you'll end up with a bloated, spyware laden phone. Don't ignore the list of permissions an app is asking for when you are installing. Don't like what they are asking permissions for? Then don't install it. Keep it simple and stick to apps with a large number of favorable reviews, though that's still not a guarantee. Editors' Choice are a safe bet, though quite limited.
Boy did I get carried away...
Use this app instead of the browser https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrewshu.android.reddit&hl=en
If you're having trouble downloading it through the store, try doing it through a browser.

Αν και δεν ασχολούμαι με iOS, το reddit έχει επίσημο client (αγόρασε την εταιρία που τον έφτιαχνε)το Alien Blue.
Για Android έχω ακούσει καλά λόγια για το reddit is fun
